Doing a road trip today and grabbing s SS one roadside caches along the way. This was a nice one. TFTC
Found easy enough thanks to the hint. Done bush bashing required. All in perfect condition.TFTC!
I was driving from north Brisbane to Nanango to visit family and made a plan of 10 caches on the way up and 10 on the way back. Enough to keep me satisfied, but not too many to keep the kids whinging. My plan didn't go too well. On the way up, rain, too many dnfs slowing us down and a new puppy that apparently gets carsick. On the way back...lets just say a little turmoil had my car on for 3 hours, charging his precious phone. Flat battery. A delayed wait for RACQ and the inability to turn the car off on the way home to give it a good charge, resulted in no caching on the way home. So 5/20 that day. The driveway looked a little dicey near the road, but could have driven to gz easily. Never mind. It wasn't a long walk. Was a little worried about snakes but luckily it is nearing winter. They are asleep now right?
I'd never have known this old road was here. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
After a lovely dinner at the blackbutt pub last night and a peaceful nights sleep it was an early morning start today to score a few caches before work begins. My target to day is to get to 100 caches in the south Burnett LGA to get one step closer to a challenge cache Im focusing on in Brisbane.Upon arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and made my way to ground zero. It didnt take long until I had located ground zero and I soon had the log out and was making my mark for prosperity. Safely returning the cache to its hiding place I was soon back in the van and off to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
Found with PapaGrouch. Heading away from Yarraman we stopped to find this cache. I dropped off a TB to continue its journey. TFTC
With Aussiemates. We also noticed the "Telecom" posts walking to the other nearby cache. Nice big cache container in the listed location. TFTC

Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC youngoldfella

Our final full day in Nanango. We wont have completed half the caching to be done, but it will be time to move on tomorrow as we need to be home in Victoria.
The day began with fog and showers so we were not optimistic, bit it gradually cleared into a lovely warm, if humid, day.
More great caching with good-sizes and some really cool containers and field puzzles. We really enjoyed it. Lunch in Yarraman before caching our way back to camp.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

We parked where suggested and headed off through the bush following the arrow to GZ where my favourite cache container was spotted. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks youngoldfella for the cache.
Up for the weekend to do a bit of cycling. Decided to knock over a few caches along the not so Cycle friendly highway area.
Mmm.. parked at the mailboxes but nowhere to drive? Bushbashe to the cache instead. Nice big hide! TFTC
Caching while driving to Kingaroy from Brisbane. A quick find here for me today. TFTC youngoldfella
It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.
As organiser of today's cache itinerary, I had mistaken the directions for accessing this cache with another nearby. Rather than a short walk from the side of the road, or better still a short drive in from a rather obvious track entry that we completely overlooked, we took the roundabout route in from a track on the opposite side of the highway. Dez was skipper of Victor Del Prado today and did an expert job of piloting Victor along the overgrown track, with only a few scratches added to Victor's exterior. A pleasant change to be the one piling on the peer pressure to drive onwards, rather than the driver wishing to succumb to the urge to turn around.
No problems locating the cache at GZ. Signed the logbook with The Bromance team stamp (although there may be a slight glitch with the date shown on the stamp). TFTC

Best drive ever. Turned a 50 m walk into an epic journey that had both the driver and the vehicle owner in to puckered quivering messes. Love it. So funny the way we took.(love the bridge we drove under).
I love an ammo tin cache
TFTC - looking forward to hunting down a few more of your caches today.

I took advantage of the suggested parking and wandered in to make this find... I was tempted by the “I South Burnett” badges, but decided to leave them for another... left some American coin and replaced the snap lock bag... tftc...
Driven past here dozens of times and even stopped once but the long grass looked impenetrable Woke up and got an early start as expecting geo-visitors. They were already at Esk
Spotted recent logs on this cache and anticipated a well-trodden path to GZ Yes! I can see a way forward now and scooted over to find the cache resting against a tree. Now can see the old highway.
NOW if only I could find my missing machete
TFTC YOF Happy to clear this one off the map.

The drive today continued north and we picked up a couple of caches along the way to guide us along the chosen route. Our destination for the night was Nanango. This cache was an easy find and signing duties were soon done, along with ilook4geo, and all was put back where it belonged. Thank you to youngoldfella for giving us a reason to stop here by placing this cache.
This was another successful find in the day of caching and travel with goingplaces2. All was good with the cache and duties were soon done. Time to move on again. TFTC.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Our last cache for our Nanango weekend. We will be back again another weekend. TFTC!
Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.
However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing its fuel pump.
We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log
Crew 153 and I hot-footed to to this one next. Much to enjoyment of Crew, I copped a face-full of spider web en route to the cache. We soon found the beast. It took longer to get to it due to the undergrowth. Signed the log and returned it to its home. Great to see a handsomely-sized container. TFTC youngoldfella

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.
This cache was find number 9 for the day.
We found a convenient parking spot near the mailboxes and then decided to take the path, which still turned into a bush bash to get to the cache. A quick find.

We booked a night’s accommodation at some awesome country motel that we are sure will put some inner city high rise to shame! We can already feel this was a better plan then what we normally do at this time of the year, as now we are out in the cattle stench air soaking up the rays looking for bits of plastic to add our name to rather than trolling around the shops looking for presents, thank heavens for online shopping.
We made a quick pull over here, it’s great it is nice and early as hardly anyone else is on the road, which makes it perfect when you need to pull to the side really quickly in a 100km zone. We both jumped out of the car high on caching spirit to make the find here.
We met one of the local country animals here before moving on…

A week or two ago I sped down this stretch of road,
being carried along by the throng !! [:o]
But the high speed research paid off today.
I knew where I needed to stop for each of the caches I seeked
With the road behind clear,
and the exit sighted,
I was soon bouncing through the roadside scenery to GZ

97Km from home.
Our first outing in our (New to us) caravan, a sudden change of plan when Mrs R-F found out her Victorian based brother was on the coast for the weekend so instead of night one at the base of the Bunya Mountains we found ourselves spending it in Mooloolaba.
We’ve now headed West to Yarraman and have unhitched “The Mystery Machine” (The Van) from ScoobyDo (Our Subaru Outback) at the Yarraman Caravan Park and are doing a bit of a run around some of the local caches.
Now this one I do remember, we found a rough track through to a section of the old road, and drove more or less right to the cache. A quick find and then I saw the biggest bull I’d seen for quite a long time, a big Brahman cross on the side of the hill. Drove a bit further along and found another track out, Mrs R-F looked a bit apprehensive but what’s the use of having an AWD vehicle if it never needs to use AWD [:-)]
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick and the log is ready for the next finder.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Cheers

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Staying longer than initially planned in Nanago as the GeoCruiser has been at the Toyota Doctors.
With the Cruiser back on the road we decided to make today about testing it out to the extremes before we tow our house further North. Pleased to report all seems good.
Had a great day touring and mostly visiting Yarraman and surrounds, using Geocaching as a guide. Only 2 DNF's and 1 was definitely muggled so is that only 1 dnf [?] [:o)] lol.

We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on a roadtrip which would provide us with an abundance of caches ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Monday. Anzac Day. Slow Puncture decided on the spur of the moment to undertake a geocaching road trip which would (eventually) end up taking us through Gympie > Kilkivan > Goomeri > Murgon > Wondai > Kingaroy > Nanango > Yarraman > Blackbutt and back home again. All up this took 11 hours.
Parked off the side of the highway (because we didn't read the cache note) and took a stroll up the path and found the old road and some friendly cows near GZ. GZ took longer than it should have to find, but in the end we got there.
This was the 24th of 26 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***youngoldfella***, for showing us this place.

After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Travelling even further from Nanango and still finding youngoldfella geocaches. Thanks for placing all these caches to bring your fellow geocaches to enjoy the countryside around where you live. We've loved all our travels on the main roads and the back roads that your caches have taken us to. Another great sized container. Cheers youngoldfella! [^][^]

Today was my first visit to the Burnett region, heading to Nanango for the first event held there. Of course, there were plenty of caches to be found along the way .
Parked at the given parking coords, I then spied a nice little track leading up thru the bush. Drove to within a few metres for a quick GRAB.

Dutchie1950 and I are on a 3-day getaway and our main objective is to attend youngoldfella's Event tomorrow morning in Nanango [^] Today we are taking it very leisurely, and turning a 2 hour trip into a 6 hour adventure. And after a scrumptious lunch at the bakery in Blackbutt [^] we decided to pass through Yarraman (think we shall spend a few hours there tomorrow ) and collect the caches northwards to Nanango.
We parked on the main road here and walked around to GZ, where we made a quick find. TFTC, youngoldfella.
