When you get close to the end of this road, there anre all sorts of scary signs that tell you to turn around or the zombies are gonna get you. We took it seriously. Im down for rules. I love scaring people in fact theres nothing better than scaring kids with the truth. Clean your teeth or they gonna fall out. The Easter bunny doesnt come to those that misbehave. Vaping makes your pee smell funny.Whatever these forestry trucks are hiding it must be good. Clearly theres a swingers convention out in the bush that these people dont want you to come to. tftc
I don't think the cattle grid is doing its job any more. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
After a lovely dinner at the blackbutt pub last night and a peaceful nights sleep it was an early morning start today to score a few caches before work begins. My target to day is to get to 100 caches in the south Burnett LGA to get one step closer to a challenge cache Im focusing on in Brisbane.Upon arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and made my way to ground zero. It didnt take long until I had located ground zero and I soon had the log out and was making my mark for prosperity. Safely returning the cache to its hiding place I was soon back in the van and off to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
Another quick find. I was thinking it was in the tree. Saw it then. Signed and returned as found. TFTC.
Clue is very good.

A bit of a search and the cache was ours.
Our final full day in Nanango. We wont have completed half the caching to be done, but it will be time to move on tomorrow as we need to be home in Victoria.
The day began with fog and showers so we were not optimistic, bit it gradually cleared into a lovely warm, if humid, day.
More great caching with good-sizes and some really cool containers and field puzzles. We really enjoyed it. Lunch in Yarraman before caching our way back to camp.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Day 4 of our stay in Nanango. Departure time. Unfortunately.
But after a rainy night a dry morning, so we took off without caravan to find an old and a new cache.
This was a DNF from us in January 2016 - now we found it.
Removed the old wet wet logsheet and put in a replacement log with plastic bag.

Up for the weekend to do a bit of cycling. Decided to knock over a few caches along the not so Cycle friendly highway area.
Had this cache in hand quickly but it had a rather soggy log that we couldn't really write on too well. Sorry I didn't have a log to replace it with. Beautiful area to cache in the later afternoon. Tick for no. 57. TFTC.
On the way back from Nanango I just couldn’t pass up another couple of youngoldfella caches... this was a quick find thanks to the hint...
Heading to Kingaroy to collect supplies. Turned down this side road for a couple of caches and found a nice-sized container here Way too long trying to match the hint to the environment but found it well tucked away.

Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.
However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing its fuel pump.
We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log
We rolled up to this one. It's been a while since I found a cache near a cattle grid. Thankfully, this one came to hand and is standing up to the elements well. We signed the log and rehid as found. TFTC youngoldfella

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.
This cache was find number 12 for the day.
We followed the road from Forest View and Fangsoki hopped out while I turned the car around. I pulled up next to him just in time for him to replace the cache. Can't get much faster than that

It was time to head south today along the D'Aguilar Highway and pick up a few of the available caches here and there. There was no system, just picked a random but definitely not a comprehensive selection. Note was made of our name on each cache log found and we were happy to add a reasonable total to the tally for the day. This one was a nice easy find.
Thanks go to youngoldfella for giving us another smiley on our caching map.

We couldn’t turn around and head back to the highway when there was another cache sitting on its lonesome further on. So we jumped back in the car, spun some rocks and dirt up and headed further on to make another find. We have plenty of time before getting to Nanango!
These caches can be quite tricky, there is so many little crevices and holes where one could stick a cache and of course it is always in the last place you look. We began systematically from each end until the prize was discovered.
Clearly this chick was off the grid when she was searching…

99Km from home.
Our first outing in our (New to us) caravan, a sudden change of plan when Mrs R-F found out her Victorian based brother was on the coast for the weekend so instead of night one at the base of the Bunya Mountains we found ourselves spending it in Mooloolaba.
We’ve now headed West to Yarraman and have unhitched “The Mystery Machine” (The Van) from ScoobieDo (Our Subaru Outback) at the Yarraman Caravan Park and are doing a bit of a run around some of the local caches.
Heading up this side road after a bit of a hiccough with the Garmin and the in car nav system both trying to send us of road but found a turn off and eventually both devices agreed we were heading the right way. My turn to look for this one and thanks to the clue it came down to a choice of two locations (Would have been one if I’d read the entire description). A quick find to me. We then decided to head to Nanango instead of the next cache on the list as towing the Mystery Machine had cut our normal 800+Km range from a tank of fuel down to a little over 500 and we had already done 480KM.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick and the log is ready for the next finder.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
Cheers

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Staying longer than initially planned in Nanago as the GeoCruiser has been at the Toyota Doctors.
With the Cruiser back on the road we decided to make today about testing it out to the extremes before we tow our house further North. Pleased to report all seems good.
Had a great day touring and mostly visiting Yarraman and surrounds, using Geocaching as a guide. Only 2 DNF's and 1 was definitely muggled so is that only 1 dnf [?] [:o)] lol.

#7769 Cache Found
After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.

Went for a drive and you guessed it. It is still where it is supposed to be. Do not cross the grid and start your search at the edge and work your way along. Is hidden well. Good luck.
Having a mother/daughter holiday. On our way to Nanango. After PAF and getting down and very dirty I retrieved the cache. TFTC
Thinking this might originally have been a 1.5/1.5 but think it has changed due to circumstances, never mind we did a PAF then a lot of .. and yep there the little blighter was. TFTC
Got dirty hands and knees as all the others, but were not successful. Have to come back another day. Tftc
Might have got red earth on my fingers and there could be red earth marks on the log paper, but nothing serious. No need to be alarmed. Cache is fine and we were happy to add our signature to the logbook. The sun was just setting as I drove TO this cache and the sky was lovely and red. I thought to stop and take a photo, unfortunately I thought I would get it when I stopped for the cache. But then there were bushes and shrubs obscuring the view. After returning the cache to its home I stopped half way along the road but unfortunately by then the sunset had lost its colour. Nevermind. It's in my memory. Thanks youngoldfella. [^][^]

Today was my first ever visit to the historic Burnett region, heading to lovely Nanango for the first event held there. Of course, there were plenty of caches to be found along the way .
Needed to turn around, so travelled on from Forest View. This one had me searching hard for a few mind before reading the hint and locating the container. The log is a bit hard to write on with normal pen so a sharpie was used.
This cache adds to our total of 1955 smilies. Thanks youngoldfella for showing us this spot.

Dutchie1950 and I are on a 3-day getaway and our main objective is to attend youngoldfella's Event tomorrow morning in Nanango [^] Today we are taking it very leisurely, and turning a 2 hour trip into a 6 hour adventure.
