Easy find on my way home from a trip to Nanango. Found park close to GZ as it is week day and not as much traffic whizzing by. The cache was easy to find but it is damaged and the water is getting in. Lucky the log was that waterproof paper but I had to use tweezers to remove it. Those logs are always difficult as they unravel and fill the container. I am pleased I had the right pen that would write on those logs. TFTC
A few caches on my way up to the QOGM 2019 event at Blackall....
A quick find. Cache container is in very poor condition.

Found with the tough mothers today, was a little tricky to get the log out, signed as TMx4.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). I couldn’t find this one the last time I was here so was glad to get a smiley today. TFTC!
Headed North this morning for an adventure to find new caches enjoyed the hides signed log and returned container. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
This was our second weekend out in Nanango travelling the highways and byways searching for Hidden Creatures, finding caches and logging smileys . We dodged truckies and trailers , mud puddles and muggles and clambered over all manner of obstacles in search of the final prizes, all the while trying to keep dry in the drizzle. Thanks to all the CO’s for their efforts in making this a most enjoyable trip. TNLN TFTC .
Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.
However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing its fuel pump.
We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log
I hot-shoed over the highway to this one to make a quick find. Then there was nothing quick about the find after that point I could not get the log out. Back to the car and we found some pliers that finally did the trick. We signed the log and re-hid the cache. It looks like the log was rusting to the side of the container.
I put it all back together and returned the cache to its home. TFTC youngoldfella

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.
This cache was find number 13 for the day.
here wasn't much room to park so I decided on the safer approach and parked a bit further up the road and we had a stroll back. Boy! was the highway busy?
Found quickly.

It was time to head south today along the D'Aguilar Highway and pick up a few of the available caches here and there. There was no system, just picked a random but definitely not a comprehensive selection. Note was made of our name on each cache log found and we were happy to add a reasonable total to the tally for the day. This one was a nice easy find.
Thanks go to youngoldfella for giving us another smiley on our caching map.

Parked in the recommended spot and crossed the road between traffic - surprising how much there is out here! I suppose this is a highway....
Soon located the cache just where we suspected at the stripes. A bit rustier than our recent similar creations.

Heading home after a day catching up with Ranibaskale and finding a few geocaches in youngoldfella country.
Last cache for the day... this beast which was a DNF when I first searched months ago, then was replaced and seriously I have driven past it that many times but either was too keen to get home, or it was too busy, or the thought of the movie Racing Stripes bothered me too much... I just hadn't gotten to stopping to find this cache.
Well today I turned up the side street and parked the car safely and Rani and I waited for a break in the traffic then did our own impersonations of Racing Stripes (the movie where the zebra gets to race against the horses?!), and got across to the safety of the barrier. Hmmm. I started from one end and Rani started at the other and it wasn't too long before I said the magic words, "found it!" Getting it out was another story... oh yes, my geocaching toolkit is on the bench at home... tweezers would be handy right about now! We managed to extract the log and add our names though, and before long it was all back as we found it.
I'm really glad to have a smilie here, this DNF has bothered me every time I drove past it, hehehe. Thanks for this cache, youngoldfella!

Round two!!! Last time we attempted this one it was in the process of being replaced so dnf. Yeay it's been replaced!!! Let the fun begin, especially crossing the highway that is like taking your life into own hands! Lol. Tftc
Onwards we head for our escape in the country weekend. Our muggles teens, that have been left with their muggle grandparents had already picked out their main present for Christmas and the original plan was for us to go shopping this weekend to just pick up a few extra trinkets for them for Christmas as a few surprises. Well that was before our muggle son started begging for something from Mr 4ando, Mr 4ando heard all these terms flying around that muggle son had been researching and it was music to his ears and now we had a problem! Mr 4ando was so excited that one of our muggle kids was finally interested in something he was into that he went straight out and made the purchase and then says to me ‘hey you need to get our muggle daughter some extra stuff!’ Well it isn't happening this weekend buddy there are bits of plastics to find out in the country.
After parking the car we ran across the road to make the find. The title makes perfect sense. We spotted more black and white stripes in our travels this morning…

It would help if there was a zebra crossing here
The sight of a zebra in the middle of the highway might slow the traffic down a bit [:o)]
Safely (?) behind the stripes,

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Staying longer than initially planned in Nanago as the GeoCruiser has been at the Toyota Doctors.
With the Cruiser back on the road we decided to make today about testing it out to the extremes before we tow our house further North. Pleased to report all seems good.
Had a great day touring and mostly visiting Yarraman and surrounds, using Geocaching as a guide. Only 2 DNF's and 1 was definitely muggled so is that only 1 dnf [?] [:o)] lol.
TFTC youngoldfella and an awesome day.

REPLACED
Just home from my trip away. I Was in the process of choosing a replacement when the recent DNF's arrived. Instead of going out in the morning I went out this arvo at 1600 and I got to meet the DNF'ers as I saw some people close by at my Berlins Road hide and stopped to have a chat and I had the affirmative to my question re Bolted Stripes cache when I asked if they were the ones who could not find it and I said to them I have it ( replacement) in my hand.Great to finally catch up and meet you.
All good to go till next time. Have fun

On our way home, my daughter pinkypie05, my son Mazza151 and myself searched for this cache. We searched everywhere and for ages but couldn't find it. Will keep an eye on it in case we were cache blind.
Could not find. A hint from CO please. I tried all the screws on the back of the striped sign and nothing
Thought this was going to be a quick grab and had worked out what we were looking for but no luck for us today
Parked opposite and wandered over to GZ, its all in the title but still managed to miss it on my first look. TFTC youngoldfella

We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on a roadtrip which would provide us with an abundance of caches ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
I'm really enjoying this series and although around a them some have slightly different names. Found this cache nice and quickly and added our names to the logbook. Thanks youngoldfella! Your caches are really appreciated. [^][^]
Time for us to head for home after attending Nanango's first event.
However we still have time to find one or two more on the way.

Dutchie1950 and I are on a 3-day getaway and our main objective is to attend youngoldfella's Event tomorrow morning in Nanango [^] Today we are taking it very leisurely, and turning a 2 hour trip into a 6 hour adventure. And after a scrumptious lunch at the bakery in Blackbutt [^] we decided to pass through Yarraman (think we shall spend a few hours there tomorrow ) and collect the caches northwards to Nanango.
A nice park and grab, and I thought that might be the container. TFTC, youngoldfella.

We decided it was time to visit our 'Country Cousins' to see what was on offer away from the burbs!
Our main target area was Nanango but a few stray caches here & there all add to the growing smilie map.
Love this type of cache container & this was a very well made one.
The fact that it was sitting an inch away from a very large spider with a thick cream stripe down it's back did NOT help my arachnophobia one little bit!
Signed & replaced as found.

Captain Terror and I were on our way back to Brisbane after spending the weekend out west. We had decided to take a slower route home, but this one had more geocaches to find. It was mid afternoon by now but the mercury still hadn't dropped. It was a hot day and the subaru's air conditioner was fighting to stay alive.
The Captain pulled up off the road and told me to get out and find the geocache. I decided to leave my Oregon in the car and wandered over to GZ. Oh that was easy. I walked back to the car and needed the Captain to remove the logbook. Once it was free I signed my name and returned it and the container as found. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
