Great little spot down here by the river. The blackberries are getting close to GZ.

No-one fishing today so maybe there's plenty for Zac. Stopped by enroute to the event at the Lake and quickly found Zac's catchy cache. TFTC and the FUN!

On the way to the William Hovell Fish Attack event with Crack'n'LeeLee after camping out at Edi together. It was a quick stop for this cache. LeeLee went hard-core in her flip-flops much to my ??.

It was super long weekend time! The forecast was for cracking weather and a group of us were all set up along the Delatite Arm on Lake Eildon. The fish attack event popped up after plans had already been made, however once I realised it was only a little over an hour from camp, OzHockeyChick and I hatched a plan to attend. With yaks onboard, we set off for the event with plenty of time up our sleeve, only to arrive 10mins late. Siri wanted to take us down all sorts of 4WD only tracks to make the 7km as the crow flies journey across the mountain. It was more like a 28km long way around on bitumen.Once on the water, the flotilla of 15 vessels, carrying 17 crew, set off to collect the water bound treasure. Each taking it in turns to set sights for dry land and make a find. All 18 caches were found and I celebrated with a swim at the end.We stopped in for a few extra caches on the way back to camp and this was one of them.A well hidden cache. Thanks Harrowang for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. LeeLee teamed up with Tiz13 for a camp, cache and kayak.Have been looking forward to this mini trip for weeks now.On route to the event we couldnt pass up stopping at this one. We took the long way in and short way out here. Thanks Harrowang for the nice size cache.

We were on our way to an event at Lake William Hovell and decided to stop off to find this one on the way.

04-Nov-23
With a long weekend of beautiful weather, we were camped just over an hour away at Delatite Arm Reserve, so it was a no-brainer to throw the yaks on the roof and head to Lake William Hovell for a paddle. After a lovely paddle and a bit of lunch, we headed back to camp. We stopped here on the way to find this nicely hidden cache. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Harrowang ~~

Man, it’s cold! Was going to go down to the water but not today! It’s about 2 degrees on this sunny winters day.
Targeted this cache as it’s the last one needed for “The Peoples Challenge, A-Z of Names” by Lostmonster & Co.
Also wanted to grab this one as it’s named after our nephew/cousin Zac who loves to fish.
Fav point and SL at 9.40.

Gorgeous Sunday morning for a dip we thought. This cache is very close to an amazingly deep swimming hole with a lovely sandy beach. The water was refreshing and we felt so alive afterwards. Nothing beats a cool mountain stream. Love this place. Thanks for the cache and the fun Harrowang

19-Jun-21
Found 12:20pm with catnap777 on our way to challenge Lake William Howell to cough up a cache or two. [^]

Arriving at the parking coords we thought we had sprung another geocacher mid signing duties as he huddled over an appropriately sized container resting on the ground. Razz After slightly embarrassing ourselves, we realised he was just a muggle trying to launch a drone. Red Face

TFTC Harrowang, it was found and returned clean and dry in good condition but as we had no fishing gear with us, we took nothing and left nothing from this well stocked cache. Cool

Wife suggested we take a trip up to the dam seeing as how the temperatures are a bit extreme atm. I readily agreed as I needed a Z cache for peoples alphabet challenge. Worked out well on both counts. Must say however that thongs are not great caching gear especially where blackberries are concerned but we got there and back.
Thanks indeed Harrowang

Cache located without too much trouble and signed, and then I was on my way. Thanks for the cache.

Found on the way to the William Hovell Storage - a terrific stretch of stored water. The river at the cache location is just so beautiful - worth the stop and climb down the bank. Thanks Harrowang.

Dropped in to check this one on our way back from Lake William Hovell. All in good condition. The river looked good to drop a line or a kayak in too! The grass seeds were annoying though.

Suscoe was in the area with Phetlern today and we made a quick find here.
Nice to see some places that might be worth wetting a line in at some time down the way.
Thanks to Harrowang.

After a day on the Spirit of Salts line, we were lured to the river - not for the fishing but to search for Zak's Cache. It was not long before we had hooked an iconic Harrowang container. Any temptation to spend time at this delightful spot was quickly thwarted by the countless mosquitoes awaiting their victims.

Our thanks to Harrowang for placing this cache.

Why not get another cache while getting the only one available at Lake William Hovell. Accidently drove past it on the way out, so the vine pruner was probably wondering what I was up to, with a kayak on the roof racks stopping here.
Good coordinates meant a quick find @ 1335; GAFF1. Dry and intact, as they always are.
Don't remember seeing "My Avatar in Plastic Relaunched" trackable.

Had to chase this one as we have a grandson Zak as well. He will be amused. Took a bit of finding. Would not camp here among these gums, lots of stuff on ground following wind a day or so ago

As the self anointed "World's Worst Fisherman" I do not plan on attempting to catch a fish, or should I say, feed the fish at this particular location! The only fish I can catch is on ice (H2O, not the drug), under a glass cabinet at the local fishmongers (or seafood shoppe for those of you who suffer from "logophobia" - word challenged! Wink ). None-the-less I envy those anglers who can catch fish, which I'm guessing young Zac and his Granddad succeed at. I'll just stick to caching which I'm moderately successful at. And yes I (we) found this one too!

Team BGF had a great day out in the King Valley. 16 caches found, lunch at Brown Brothers, a paddle on Lake William Hovell, schooner and a light dinner at the Whitfield pub.
This was find #10 for the day, a quick find in a beautiful setting on the King River - tftc Harrowang

Travelling home today, so we drove the King Valley, and had lunch at Whitfield. A lot longer a trip than I thought. Very beautiful this time of year.
The lure of the FTF was too much, and as we had a bit of time before lunch, we travelled the valley.
As we approached GZ we saw a 4WD - oh no , muggles! Fortunately, they were fishing further up the stream.
We found the spot Zak fishes - the real question is what did he catch? a rainbow trout? a cold from standing in the water so long?
Located the good sized cache and checked out the fishing gear.
As we were leaving a couple of kyakers arrived. It would have been a bit bumpy today I reckon.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4207. Whoop Whoop! Joint FTF with Robmc at 12.30pm. Our third for the day. I have been watching this since it was published and have been surprised that it had still not been found. We rectified that today. Just a short little trip up the King Valley (yeah, right). A long way further than we suspected. However, the river was bubbling along very happily and the scenery at this early time of Spring is certainly worth the drive. Lush and green, with happy cows everywhere. Found the cache in the first place I looked, confirming very good coordinates. Lots of nice goodies inside. Being a Pisces just HAD to take the fish stickers and took the duck TB away from his idyllic hiding spot. May drop him seaside. Left: Pathtag with keyring as had no fishy SWAG with us today. TFTC Harrowang.

Now off to Whitty Cafe for a very nice lunch in the sun.
