Drove past it the other day and it looks like the bridge is being pulled down and the cache is inside the construction fence.
After spending afternoon with Country Energy decided to take long route home to pick up some more caches.
Had parked on wrong end of bridge first so trooped back to the car and moved it to the correct side before setting out in the now very dim light hoping to be able to add one more at least to the evening's tally. Success! An easy find so soon had the log in hand ,signed and returned to its hidey hole. Thanks again to jordy2000 for putting out so many caches so that we newbies can find them. Will get a fav from me as it is such a pretty little corner and the history is there.

Quick find on the way through. Looks like the alignment of the new road hasn't improved much!
Thanks
Thanks
Last one for the day and what a great day - Thanks to mister JD and to all the people that put out some great caches
Found this with my Dad fitzy_1965 and AwesomeL during a run through the Gundaroo and Gunning area. Finally catching up with my logs.

I'm shocked!! Shocked, I tell you!!! Last time I was here, I drove over the old bridge (and they hadn't even started the new one). Ah well. Progress!!
My mate Knightech and I decided we would like a bit of Geocaching, and also to try out his new Ford territory again. It's a nice day for it - not too hot, with a bit of cooling breeze. So, here's our tenth and last one for the day. This was a quick and easy grab. TFTC!!
Great car, Knightech!!! Thanks for the ride, and I'm looking forward to lots more caching with you!!!.

7644 + 961 = 8605. Found during a run around Gundaroo and Gunnning with GSC2000 and AwesomeL.
Second find of the day. Parked in the convenient shade and we headed over to have a look. We were glad it was well away from the danger zones ! Signed and we were off to the next one.
Thanks jordy2000 !!
TNLN - TFTC !!

Found on a great caching day out with Mr Roo. This cache hunt provided a bit more excitement than we were expecting. Roo went high while I tackled under the bridge. I didn't find the cache but did find a very active snake
Found with Captain Tomato. He went down below the bridge I stayed on top. He found a brown snake I found the cache TFTC
2951. As I was in the area, I thought I would head to Gundaroo from the highway for a few extra caches. I was a little concerned with a recent DNF and the keep out signs, but then it turned into a quick find, thanks to the hint.
Thanks jordy2000 for the cache.
Thanks jordy2000 for the cache.
Oh it is so so hot today and don't I know it, I put my hand on the armco railing while I climed over it and it left a burn mark! But it was great to find the cache. TFTC TN LN SL
Without much time on my hands, I thought I would have a look for this one. No luck today but I will be back...
A nice hide in a great location. I would like to think that they decide to leave the old bridge where it belongs - the word is 'context'. Thanks jordy2000.
#1244 - 20:10; Headed off on a mini mission to Gundaroo this evening in lieu of a trip out here with the geoteen for a driving lesson. The driving lesson was aborted when a friend came over and there were more interesting things to do. I should have checked emails before I headed off as there was a new cache published a lot closer to home around the time I was leaving This the third of six on a successful evening sweep and turned out to be a pretty quick find despite the initial trepidation as I headed towards GZ. TFTC jordy2000
Renewing the old bridge was a good idea, it's certainly would need a bit of work. TFTC
Grabbing some caches as we make our way south with J+J.au.
Detoured off the freeway and found these interesting country caches in what looks like a historic village. SL..TFTC

Although the coordinates brought us to another spot it was not too hard to find the cache. Well hidden though. TFTC jordy2000.
Gundaroo to Yass Caching day with Sol de Lune. I have been waiting for a cache recognising this old bridge now it has been fully bypassed. Happily it did not cause too much of a delay to our trip. Thanks.

I can remembering driving across the original bridge, I am sad to hear that is going to be dismantled. Another history loss .
Found on a Sunday afternoon escape to go geocaching.
PS Apologies for the late log entry. My Logbook decided to go and hide itself in a safe spot.

The weather was fantastic, time for a ride on bike and some caches along the way. Thankfully I did not have to go out of bounds to find it! In the end the GPS guided me to it. Thanks....
I found this on 3/11/13 ... one of 10 caches I went looking for (and found) that day - I had been to a spit roast on a workmates farm, and some of us slept the night, and then had breakfast in Gundaroo - so I figured I may as well make a day of it and go hunting a bunch of caches out that way while I was in the area
This was #4 ... I was a bit worried about the 2 most recent log entries being DNF (especially when one was 5 people) ... had a bit of a quick look and was starting to think maybe it was the other side of the fence or missing and I wouldn't find it either, but then I found it ... right where my iPhone said it should be
TFTC - interesting old bridge - pity they can't move the whole thing to a park in town - would make part of an awesome playground ... if it wasn't for the fact that these days someone would hurt themselves and take legal action ...
Heard something rustling in the grass/etc beside me as I arrived near GZ, but couldn't see what it was, heard it again down below me as I stood on a bit of the bridge to get a photo ... it was only as I walked away that I thought maybe it might not have been the lizard or small furry animal I thought it was ... it may have been something long and skinny and dangerous - lol (but if so - just more evidence that they are probably as afraid of humans as humans are of them

2 DNFs in a row, not a common occurrence... S1s and MegsyB88 joined us in the search at this point but even with 5 people had no luck. Searched all the likely places alluded to by the clue but came up empty handed. Bridge has been fenced off, so we didn't search beyond that.
Taking a slight detour on my way to Goulburn to pick up my daughter from her Grandmothers.
In the area so decided to collect the others that had been posted since we were here last. Parked near the old bridge wandered down in the pouring rain and soon located the hide. The puddles were useful in washing the mud from the boots. TFTC jordy2000
Found with Rapidlywild during our Goulburn and surrounds mega geomission
It was well and truly late at night when we pulled up the car to this one. And what an adventure it turned out to be!
On went the torches and out of the geomobile we jumped to make our way over to start the search. As we were about 10 meters away from the car, we saw two cars zooming around the corner. Then one of them lit up with red and blue lights and sirens! Aaaaaahhhhh! We panicked for a moment as we thought we were in trouble, but it soon passed when we realised the police were pulling over the driver of the other car. So we just pretended to be stretching our legs and talking on the phone.
We waited out the police car to move on, then we started the search. After looking here and there in a few spots until Rapidlywild made the sneaky little find We had to duck down a few times as cars passed so that made things interesting lol But after log signed and cache replaced it was off to the warm car and off we went!
Thanks, jordy2000
