Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. The wet weather over the last few days had dampened things down nicely and made for pleasant walking conditions today. I was surprised at the number of MTB'ers seen today, being as it was a Friday. .. According to Strava, I did 9.2km walking today with an elevation gain of 308m with 100% finds, so was pleased with that.A nice quick find here and for this one, I did register the relevance of the cache name. TFTC
An enjoyable morning walk of 8km finding 15 caches and one DNF, with my non-Premium friend sausage3. Another fun one and another with coordinates slightly out. Logbook, which is in good condition, was signed and replaced as found. Tftc
29/03/2024 - 12:06Trekking along to this one debating whether we were expecting a technological or non-technological tether. It was the latter and the point goes to me rather than my partner. Enjoyed this little mini series!Returned as found. marcussjd9#214TFTC
Found the cache. Thank you! The log tried to escape as I had to tap it out but successfully signed and tucked back into its spot
Found @ 1451 with Gumboot-Adventurer and Squirel_joe- Quick easy find by the Geo child. Interesting container, definitely felt a little Hammer Time should have been playing. TFTH
Lovely bushland and love the pun. Quick find and all is well. TFTC DeFCoN_6
Today was a beautiful day for caching but the going was tough for the first two finds. I was caching with Hatzoff and GrannySmith1947 .
These last few were much easier to get to as it was down hill now.
Cache found and log signed before replacing as found. TFTC

Beautiful day after the big fog. No school holidays. Not a weekend. So we thought it safe to venture into these crazy bike tracks. The going was tough for us injured gals but we were soon moving up and town and over the tracks.
We only met 2 bikes on our way around these half dozen caches.
Our last cache for the day. Nice quick find.
Caching and travelling with Imbunda and grannysmith1947.

This morning, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I planned to take baby Warren on a walk up to Mount Cotton. We took the direct main route up to the summit, and then proceeded to take a loop around the area via the *What Goes Up Must Come Down* (WGUMCD) series. To replenish our energy, we then detoured past Capalaba for a lunch, before proceeding home.
In the late afternoon, it was an errand at Clontarf that allowed me to drive north and visit a few more of the *Witch's Hat* series.
We set out on this walk departing from the trailhead at 09:20 hr, and we walked a total distance of 6.9 km across an elevation of 232 m, with a moving time of 1:40 hr. Despite that, we ended up getting back to our cars just after 12:00 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/7443275065). A few nice-looking mountain biking trails that I'd love to come back to. It must have been a long walk for baby Warren as she took a short nap during the last kilometre.
As we descended from the summit and made a loop around the area, we made a stop at this cache. This geocache took a couple of minutes of searching, with [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) speculating what this themed object may be, and sure enough, we were right. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks DeFCoN_6 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Today was the first ruzzelz ride event for 2022. With a hard core ride planned for today only two victims came along for the torture test. TaxisVW and DrPam had serious mechanical issues before the ride started ( air in tyres is essential as are sound tubes), stealth seeker was ready to role and so it was that we took on the challenge of clearing out most ( but not all of the caches in this area.
I have ridden these trails several times before. However my usual MTB friends are not geocachers so stopping to cache has not been an option.
Thanks to the various cachers for placing caches along the trails.

First one to be found today. Was wondering what the deal was with the tool then laughed. And contrary to what the song says, I did indeed touch it (the cache, that is). Tftc!
Took a while to get this pun. Doh!
Rain started as I sat to sign the log which was only a problem as I had been to the hairdressers and my hair was nice and straight. The hazards of GCing.

My last find for the day. Phone GPS was not cooperating (again), so I had to look around for a long time! But I was finally standing in just the right place, and spotted a bit of colour in a log. Thank goodness! Got it just as I was about to give up. TFTC!
Muggle65 and l have now run out of daylight so this one was found by torchlight. Cute hide. Just a stroll back to the car now so hopefully we can stop sweating from running this trail. Loved this series so thank you for placing it
Last cache for the day it’s now dark & we are both using our phones to light up the hiding places. It took a while, but we found it
I was hoping that the downhill part of the walk would be more exhilarating than it was. I hoped we could just tuck into a ball and roll down to the caches. Then I looked hard and discovered we had already walked downhill to the trail head and in our excitement of conquering the “up” bit forgot we had come down some.
This leg of the trail is way better to walk on then the one we started on. In fairness they are resealing that one and if it ends up like this then one day you could ride a bike on it or maybe play a game of marbles on it. We had a bit of a laugh when we found the cache. tftc

Today I met a friend on the south side of town for an early bike ride and once this was done it was too early to go back north. Traffic was terrible. So I decided to explore this beautiful forest for 2 hours and find plenty of caches. All in great conditions. I had a great time!

Out early this morning to target a gap in my DT grid and pick up the rest of the caches along the circuit. with a long walk back to the car, I’m one step closer to closing out the DT

Took a detour... oh alright made a special trip here today to turn that blue face yellow... drives me a little insane having one blue dot amongst the yellow...
Thanks must go to Therealaaronwashere for providing the additional help to locate this cache... Previously my search field was way to narrow... it was the end of a long day and that’s the story I’m sticking to.... tftc... phew...

I really dislike it when everyone else says “easy find” and I’ve spent 30 minutes going round in circles... at least this was the last in this trail and not the first... if you’re reading this at some point in the future and would like to take pity on me, feel free to send me more information or even a pic....
After another steep descent (well, at least it was down!), on foot for much of it as it was loose too, we found this clever little cache without too much searching.
This was our 12th find on our trip up and around Mt Cotton. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment!

Thank you for hiding them

Well that hammers a final nail in today’s caching. 100% success for the day. TFTC. Great trail and I’d advise to leave the bike behind. Great fun. Be good to bring my other caching friends on this tour.

Monday. Today was a day of MTBing with Que Sera targeting some great caches in this area. We found the cache in short order and then signed the log. It wasn’t until after we’d signed the log that we took a second look at the cache container and had another good chuckle! Awarding a FP for the cache inventiveness and location.
This was the 6th of 19 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***DeFCoN_6***, for showing us this place.

Mrs slow puncture and I decided to take our bikes to find 19 caches along these tracks. It took us 5 hours and there were lots of times we needed to walk our bikes but other times it was a nice breezy ride. We left our bikes at the path for a quick walk to gz where we spotted this cache. It took me a few seconds to understand but when I did we had a great laugh . Giving this one a FP.thanks for the fun
Ah... Now I get it!!
Startled me a bit. Ha ha
Log starting to fill.
The birds are chirping and the humidity has dropped, after the rain last night.
Very pleasant walk.

I think this is my favourite of this series. Very clever
This is an enjoyable piece of bushland to walk through.
All good with this cache, and while here i felt safe, for some reason.

Out finding caches on a rainy afternoon in this bit of bush...This was the 8th and last find of the walk.
The cache's namesake was found first and shortly after the cache was located.
TFTC! And thanks for a fun series!

On the way home i decided to detour to find the 17 caches in the Mount Cotton reserve. Thanks DefCon
Arrived at an appropriate spot and with a deft grab shouted, 'can touch this'!! All that was missing to strike up the music are the parachute pants but they truly belong back in the 80s. Another quick find for the team. One more cache to find before hitting the parking spot. Thanks again DeFCoN_6 for this series of caches.
I parked near the quarry and, after finding the cache at the gate, I headed down the trail as it looked like the easier option than heading up that hill. I was obviously still not completely awake yet because I wandered around in circles for a while before finally spotting something colourful. The problem with GZs like this, I guess, is that there are just so many places to hide a container.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Decided today we were going tackle the caches around Mt Cotton and this little circuit was our main focus. On a cool and crisp morning we headed off to find our 2nd cache for the day. Mrs EMC had put the wrong co-ordinates into the GPS so had the family trudging 100 m down the hill to no mans land to not find a cache. After Mr EMC checked on his phone he said "I think you have the wrong co-ordinates". Back up the hill we trudged. (oops never done that before!). Three sweaty cyclists passed us on the main track. To the right spot we went and found a cache very quickly. Very apt cache container and attachment. TFTC.
See a number of caches along the trails that are not rated 1.5/1.5 plus with a few select targets like the letter box at the top and Alpha we decided to head off. We decided to head straight up and take the loop on the way back which seemed a good decision so picked off caches along the way. A few Roos spotted and a nice bit of bush and some views at times. We completed the signing suitors and re hid. TFTC.
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls and out'n'about. On our way back to the geomobiles, we decided to detour to find a few more caches. What a cool find in the bush. We added our names tot he log, then headed back to the geomobiles. TFTC
A very cool thing to find in the bush, although I felt a bit old when the geoteen didn't get it. Thanks for the cache and for creating the trail DeFCoN_6
Out and about finding a few caches before heading off to attend the Logan Geocaching Monthly Catch up meeting. This was the best hide and find for us today and worthy of a favorite point from me.

This one we noted has not been found for a few months. It was lovely to be back in this area and out walking today. Warm but not too hot to be out. Thanks for heading us this way.

A day of solo caching just doesn's seem to happen often enough, but soehow today ended up as just that. I was surprised how warm it was, and as I set off at 7am I was in t-shirt and shorts. Mt Cotton was the main plan for today and a really pleasant walk it was. What a magical place.
The first for the morning, and as I type this log thwe penny finally clcked as to the title of this one (GROAN!)
Thanks for the cache.

A walk around the trails and collecting this serieswith the geodog. The start of the trail led me to the caches just off the trails and had me looking in several spots for many of them. The a couple I went off bush to reach the next to make short work of the distances between. All in all, it was a good workout for me up and down gullys and through the trees. No DNF's and a lovely day for a walk. TFTC DeFConN_6
The coords were a little off on this one for me today, but eventually found its hiding spot
A had a bit of a song stuck in my head as I extracted the log sheet and dutifully signed and dated it. Can't touch this. Do do do do do do do do, can't touch this
Geocache replaced as found. All is ready for next visitor to trek in here and find it for themselves [8d]
Then I was off to see if I could find another one in the series [^]

After finding a nearby cache we decided to find this one . We walked on over and had a look around. We looked up and down for 15 minutes . Until we saw a potential spot and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the cache Defcon6 . TFTC!!!
Came down to Bris from Toowoomba with Eskies5 to try and grab some caches and tick a few more boxes. A great walk and a short way off the track we made the find....even if it took a little time to work out the relevance of the attachment . TFTC DeFCoN 6
Kestal was needing to make up some numbers so a trip down the range to Brisbane was in order. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda except for a select few. And so here I found myself in an area I have not visited before. TFTC DeFCoN 6.
We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on the dark side of town where there is an abundance of caches not too far apart ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty. We certainly enjoyed our day out exploring this little area of bush land.
Thank you DeFCoN_6 for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy
