A quick trip up from Perth to Geraldton. We had a 4WD so made the most of it. Came in from the north having just done Dazza's Last beer. TFTC
Another day in Geraldton and we cleaned up a bunch of 4x4 caches north of Drummond Cove and then ventured south towards Greenough. We missed a few caches due to heavy rains and some fast flowing water.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Out with the boys on an epic few days of finding smilies. Thanks to the co's for placing these caches to enjoy. Sorry for the genetic log
Lots of laughs along the way here. Thanks Team Woodsy

Tftc all in good condition geohubby found it! Up for IGD 2016 all the way from mandurah so we are getting some beach geocaches to fill our D/T grid!
I parked at the Oakajee river's mouth and followed a trail up the hill on the north side of the river
From about 100 metres abeam GZ, I had a good view out over the fields of snakes.
Or lack of snakes at this time of year
From up there I could also see a fairly permanent looking campsite set up in the trees [:o]
And from the sound of the 'jenny', somebody was home
All I had to do now was work out how to get from this side of the river to the other
There is always a river or creek or estuary in the way [:o]
Wandering a bit further inland, I found a trail through the scrubbery that took me to the riverbed.
Another trail took me to the fields of snakes and dead automobiles.
From the ex-stockcar, painted blue with a cartoon of dead sheep on the sides, it was an easy stroll across open ground to GZ
Except that I was in full view of the campsite as I crossed [:o]
I quickly found the obvious cache, and retreated the way I had come from
I guess nobody saw me and I was a happy chappy as I strolled back up the hill and along the track to find me chariot again
I grabbed the two trackables that were inside the cache waiting to be released

Out 4WDing with Irish Dude, didn't see any snakes but lots of huge spiders. Not sure if we would class this as a difficulty 4.

A good one to find on the last day of the year. We went with stoffcrap, (daughter, SIL and 1 yo GD) in two cars. Approached from the Coronation end and headed south until we hit the dry river bed. Drove upstream a couple of hundred metres, parked the cars and walked a short distance through the snake infested dry grass to GZ. (joking... didn't see one). After a short search we located what we came for and signed the log. Took a fishing lure (which we gave to a bloke camping nearby) and two TB's. Left a key ring and small toy. The cache is in good condition. Let our tyres down and had a look at the beach where I got bogged. Not too much tread left to get a grip so had to go down further to 15lb to get out. Apart from that we had a great time and that's what it's all about. Thanks Bigsybigs, we will try "A Prickly Affair" when I get some off road tyres.
ps: Moses the Tb had a great time.

Found with squash2. Had a good time and we didn't get bogged like someone we could name but wont. SL TNLN Thanks Bigsbybigs.

Our second first to find for the day, having a 4 wheel drive is an obvious advantage although I did wonder whether our friends TeamBastholm and the IrishDude would hoof it in and beat us as they have a way of getting out and about nocturnally.
This place looks an absolute picture at the moment, it has been many years since we have seen it looking this lush and green. Well worth coming up right now and seeing for sure. The funniest thing is that we hadn't been up here for a couple of years and now this is the third time in three days we have been in the area! We never get tired of seeing it though especially when there is a geocache involved.
We found the cache after a very short hunt, signed the log and left a couple of travellers.
Thanks Bigsybigs we very much look forward to more great 4 wheel drive caches from you.
