Tasmania Trip Day 6. It is time to move on from Burnie, and I headed south towards Queenstown. There were of course a few detours, both for counties and for popular destinations Zeehan and Strahan. Unlike the last few days, the roads got quite twisty at times, but the scenery was spectacular and Queenstown although quite on a Sunday afternoon, was an interesting place to look around and find dinner. This one was where I had parked the car, so I had to come over for a look at the information available. The cache was found without any problems. Thanks for the cache sharnie's tribe45918.14 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Australia Wombat Matt A#162**Albida**

We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences......Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun!Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!

[8983] Holidays on Tasmania, day 6. Today we left Strahan for our next stop near Smithton. Again, we spent most of the time driving, but we stopped also for some Geocaches and the 3 hrs walk to the Montezuma Falls. Finally, a really nice and impressive waterfall. At the end of the day, we added 10 smilies to the Geocaching map and enjoyed another beautiful day. This geocache added its share to the fun we had. TFTC!

Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Four: Devonport to Queenstown.
Weather: I was worried that it might actually snow.

Getting out of the car here and I suddenly realise has cold it is. A slap in the face! This is my first find in West Coast, which is the last of the “mainland” Tasmanian LGAs for me, so a big thank you for this hide sharnie’s tribe.

It’s officially a mega.

Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!

So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.

Todays adventure started with a sunrise walk around The Nut in Stanley before a road trip to Launceston via some country stops.

After leaving Stanley it was off for the long drive to Tullah to grab some caches in another Tassie LGA. It was a lovely drive with snow on the sides of the roads at times.

I arrived in Tullah and began looking for this cache as the heavens opened and unleashed 2mins of rain and hail. It had been dry for the previous 2hrs while I was driving .

The cache was soon found and signed before running back to the car.

Thanks sharnie's tribe for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Over the long weekend xxDouDouxx and I made a plan to knock off several challenge caches including caches from "Old School Challenge" GC44WV0 and "Tasmanian Mainland LGA Challenge" GC8CGMX, as well as a few caches for various statistic grids. I'm happy to say LGA is now complete and Old School is well on the way. A fantastic, busy, and adventure filled 3 days was had, covering 1500km from Huonville, to Ben Lomond, then Georgetown, across the top to Burnie, down through Waratah, Queenstown, and back to Huonville. Lots of great caches, new places to explore, fantastic views, and interesting locations...

What an awesome little town with such a well presented collection of history. The whole place just makes you feel happy to be there. Thanks for putting a cache here. Favourite for the surrounds Smile

#5332, 2023-03-05 at 18:46,

Nalezeno společně s Radoshordos během měsíčního výletu do Malajsie, Singapuru, Bruneje a Austrálie, kde byla hlavním cílem celého výletu Tasmánie. Singapore se zároveň stává mojí 39. navštívenou zemí a Austrálie mojí 40. navštívenou zemí.
Keš jsem našel během chvilky společně s Radoshordos. Děkuji za přivedení na další zajímavé místo a za další bod do sbírky.
Zdravím z České republiky.

Found it during a one-month trip together with Radoshordos to Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Australia, where Tasmania's was main destination of the whole vacation. Singapore is also becoming my 39th visited country and Australia my 40th visited country.
I found the cash in a moment with Radoshordos. Thank you for bringing me to another interesting place and for the next point to the collection. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to sharnie's tribe for the generation of this nice cache History at Tullah (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.

As our road trip of Tasmania continued, we have done a majority of the East Coast and now we are heading west along the north coast. We are now heading from Tullah to Stanley.

We made our way to Cradle Mountain as I was super keen to go see the Tasmanian Devils at the Devils@Cradle sanctuary. I sponsor a number of Tassie Devils at this location so it was amazing to see them in real life. They really are very ugly cute animals hahaha. We had accommodation in Tullah so it was critical to pick up atleast one cache in the area before departing. Once again, the heavens opened up just as I got out of the car, but fortunately I was able to avoid getting soaked.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this Geocache sharnie's tribe Big Grin
