###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO.
I am going to Disable it, and I'll check back in 4 weeks to see if either
- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated when action will be taken
If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then regrettably the cache will be archived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

Several people have been unable to find this and there aren’t too many places it could be.
Arrived and searched high and low but only so many places it could be, it is definitely missing!
On a drive around the area with our hosts, came here in the rain. Wazza9 made a quick find. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to smiley_bear.
TFTC,
Another Milestone has been reached today, 8,000 finds for wazza9. This is 8,001,
I am trying for a different sort of challenge at present that requires you to do a different type of cache on every consecutive day for 31 days. This is day 11 and yesterday was a Virtual. Today we have completed traditional, Multi, EarthCache and puzzle varieties.
So much history. I have just seen a photo of the ship taken in the 1980's and it is amazing how quickly it has fallen apart.

Found with Mtrax on our mini Tassie holiday! Today we drove back to Hobart from Launceston... Once again, the rain held off, and the sun was shining! Mind you, it was very windy! But that was OK. This was a nice cache find along the way - thanks SB.
Today we are in the area from Old Beach.
Here we wanted to catch some smilies on our map.
This cache was after a short search found and signed.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Thanks for the cache smiley_bear. Out and about today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. After a walk up Goats Hill ealier in the afternoon, it was decided it would be good to find a few caches nearby that didn't require such a big walk. Have driven past this spot quite a few times, and have even stopped and read about the wreck previously - but wasn't caching at the time. Certainly an interesting read at GZ. A nice quick find, and great place for a cache. Cheers.
This one eluded us last time but armed with more info not that we should have needed it we headed back to GZ to make an easy find. TFTC smiley_bear it was a nice relief to tag this one.
Tassie Trip Day 108 - Today we decided that it was a quiet day however we needed to collect some caches and some groceries this was a short trip.
After making our way to GZ the seach was soon conducted with a success and the log was then signed and returned to the cache and all left as found.
Thanks smiley_bear for bring us here.

Log was missing. So I attempted to replace it with a piece of paper . Thanks for the chance to see the area.
Out on a cold misty morning to get a few new caches which have gone down since our last visit to Tas, TFTC
I tried to find this a while ago and couldn't find it but come back and its there straight away!! Makes me wonder if it was missing when i last stopped.. many thanks!!
I stopped by this bit of rusty history this morning
A scenic spot,
thought a bit chilly today

Found with G-Pa Chris as his first find. Log book very full so replaced it with the only paper I had but may need checking smiley_bear.
Driven past many times. Never bothered to stop. Out with Geodog today, so we decided to stop. A fascinating story. Tftc. MattyH from Tassie
Now on Celebrity Solstice part of our Australia/New Zealand Adventure. Loving every minute of it! Tasmania today. Traveling with P&G Cachiers. TFTC
Day 13 of our Adventure Down Under. Traveling with R&B CO, DFindIt, and some muggle friends. On the cruise portion of our adventure now. Thanks to all the cache owners who made this kind of adventure possible.
Have been past here many times but never stopped. Would be great to know more about it. I might have to do some research. TFTC!
Had learnt about the history of the Otago from doing a cache across the road many years ago. Guess that one has gone to caching heaven nowadays [as a lot do]!!!
This one was a quick find despite the nearby presence of a few fisherman.
Thanks.

Quick find today on way to airport after having a few days here with some girls for a craft retreat. Cool piece of history - thanks for highlighting the area.
TFTC When I approached it looked like my gps wanted me to get my feet wet. So decided to ignore it and found it easily. Thanks smiley-bear.
Finally made it to this cache, it's been on my todo for quite some time. Only one question - which ship is the Otago? There appears to be two ships resting here. TNLN TFTC. Signed log.
Another cache under the cover of darkness. A very easy quick find here. Took longer to get log back in than it did to find and sign the thing. Think we might of made a nearby muggle nervous tho as she waited by the side of the road under the street light for her ride home.
Today we explored Hobart and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find, great views from here.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Have had a half-hearted look for this in the past so made my way to roughly where I thought it was before looking at any details, then realised I'd gone past it.... way past it. Made my way back to the cache and signed log.
Hi smiley bear, thanks for bringing me here. Was on a bit of a random drive drive tonight between dropping off and needing to pickup again, killing time, so why not cache!

Cache was just where I expected it to be, very tiny and cute. I heard of this shipwreck after the floods recently which uncovered another new wreck up the coast. I had no idea there was one so close to my house. Had a great time exploring the wreck and playing pirates with the geokids. TFTC
Another nice spot in Tassie we just love the water views along with all the other views you get in Tassie. Easy find TFTC
While spending the Easter break with team GoldJ. We headed out early Easter Saturday morning to do some sightseeing and grab a few caches. This was the second for the day. TFTC.
Tftc. I thought I'd come over here for my lunch time walk. A very educational find.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying in Campania, after all the rain yesterday today was such a pleasant day although still cool.
We loaded our lunch, jumpers and bicycles and headed off to explore new areas.
Heading home now but just one more.

Just upgraded our membership and found this on the web page. Discovered this one by accident when we were looking for good places to hide a cache and our previous membership didn't show this location. one we found without actually looking for a cache. TFTC smiley bear
Well this cache is actually a Mystery cache for me.
My partner and I started seriously caching in Feb this year, we promised if we were still keen (we are actually quite addicted) come Christmas, we would buy premium memberships.
In the meantime we have been contemplating good locations to place our own caches to contribute to the fun.
We had discussed this location. So, on the way home from work one afternoon I stopped by to look for potential cache hides. I went straight to this one and imagine my surprise when I looked for a good position that was well concealed....only to find a little cache!! It gives you quite a thrill to find one when you weren't looking. It also leaves one quite frustrated when they can't locate said cache on the site so they can log their discovery! Haha, I didn't even think of premium at the time, was thinking more like a Mystery.
Anyway, we finally bought our memberships for each other tonight for Christmas and BINGO..there's the cache!
So Merry Christmas smiley bear, great minds think alike and pick the same hidey holes haha! TFTC , a traditional to all, but always will be a mystery to me
P.S. the log is full

First to sign new log. Always glad to see that some cachers do maintenance.

Found very easy. Pretty awesome spot I used to always go as a teenager. Love the little cache
Finally logging this cache as we were sure we had done it before but it kept showing up. Checked today and we actually found it on the 21.2.14. Log is nearly full. TFTC
Don't quite know how it happened, but have been fishing nearby (after the cache was placed) but didn't realise that there was a geocache here
All is corrected now - thanks for the cache, smiley bear !

I don't know why this has taken me so long to get to. It's not often that I leave the car running while finding a cache! I also found the multi that was here, many years ago. I hadn't even heard of the author, Joseph Conrad, oops. Thanks smileybear.
Find # 100.
A beautiful spot right as the sun went down. Almost didn't see this as it was getting dark.
Found at 18:23.

Wow another very interesting history, thanks for showed me around this town. Thanks smiley bear
We were in the area today so we thought we should grab this cache. It was a nice quick find and an interesting read on the sign. TFTC smiley_bear.
A nice easy find.
reading the sign is a bit harder as it has been pushed over and is now over the bank, in the river at high tide.

A long time between caches so decided to do a loop and clear a few caches out. Funny how it is the local things that still one doesn't know about and love to find out about them. Sign sitting in right spot and not knocked over. It Was ashame that tied was high and was not able to fully see the remains.
JABs.

From an earlier log we had a notion where this would be and Sue hopped out of the car and had it quicksmart. We were treated to an eagle flying just over our heads. TFTC smiley_bear
After receiving a helpful suggestion from GoldJ we decided to return to the Old Beach area to try our luck. There had also been a new cache placed in the area which meant we might score more than one new find.

Oh so this is where the wreck I've heard all about is. After reading all the information on the plaque I glanced at my Gps it said I was 9 meters away. This would have put me in the drink. I ventured down to the shoreline but it turns out I Didn't need to go down there.
A quick find by mr sharnie's tribe. Loved the wrecks which were decorated by a flock of birds perched around the edges. Tried to get a photo but didn't work in the rain. TFTC
I have been here once before to look at what's left of the ships, but we called in today since we were passing and after a short search we had the cache in hand, signed and replaced in no time at all.
Thanks for the cache.

Cache zombified. Never ceases to amaze me the places caching takes you that you didn't know about - even on your doorstep... Easy find. Tftc.
Found easily after GeoKid-E said "it's not here", and we spend 5 minutes looking elsewhere, and then I find it exactly where GeoKid-E said is wasn't... Lol. TFTC! Pity about the weather...
Used to walk around here often when living on this side of the river. Interesting history. TFTC
Hi smiley, last time i was here it was searching for a transport cache, before that there was a multi here that has gone i believe. Anyway this time i took the time to reread the sign and noted that there seems to be two hulls here. The plaque describes how one ship was "wrecked" here or more true scraped here. Maybe there was two?
This was my second visit to this cache, unfortunately the first time I was not armed with a writing instrument.
In contrast to RebornCyclist I spent most of my time trying to get the logbook back into the container!

I quite like Joseph Conrad, though the slightly formal language doesn't always make for an easy read.
The cache, in contrast, was a much easier find than the previous one based on this sign.
I spent most of the time trying to get the log out (as with most nanos).
Windy and choppy today.
Thanks.

Had a slight drama here. Took the cache into the car to sign and whilst rolling it back up another vehicle pulled up behind us and two guys jumped out and came over to read the sign and inspect the Otago at its resting place. Were they cachers? No sign of GPS or mobiles. No secret whispers or knowing nods so we took the cache for a little drive further along the road and ducked up a side street. We saw them drive off so safely returned the cache to ITS resting place. TFTC
We had visited this location early in our caching career to gather information for a multi cache. Today we were pleased to return to remnd ourselves of more detail relating to Captain Conrad and the barque Otago. The cache was a quick find and the contents were in good condition. TFTC smiley_bear.
