Staying another night at the freedom camping spot, so headed out for some more caches today. Skipped this one yesterday due to muggles, but soon had my name on the log today, cheers
Spent quite a bit of time digging through the tangle and reading logs. Some are pretty helpful. Ivss_XX finally made the spot.

Not an easy find this one. We did see that Mike has eggs for dinner today.
Eggs with cabbage salad on the side, mmmmhmmm.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, BaldEd!

We were about to give up when we read some previous logs about meat and veg. Cache all good. I can’t see where Lou has found this one. TFTC
Nice spot. Found on a run while my daughter was taking her hockey team nearby. A little damp but ok to write on. TFTC
There were too many muggles here on a bright and sunny Sunday, when I went past this morning, so i left it until the evening when most people had left.
It took a bit of searching for but I got it eventually.
Thanks for putting this here

Was not looking forward to the search as I approached GZ, the area being very overgrown with many potential hiding places. Fortunately, the cache was located in the very first spot I inspected, love it when that happens; TFTC
Tried to find this one a while back. Glad to say I found it today with Judith. Great hide and camo cache. TFTC
What a nightmare of a caching morning...plan A was to tackle the mt grey track but after 2hrs driving around locked gates and dead end roads a plenty and not being able to get anywhere near the start of the tracks it's time to go to plan b...(which I didnt have).
After re grouping a mission around rangiora is in order..
Took a while to locate but got there in the end tftc

Taking the dog for a walk in the area. Tried looking on the way past ths first tone but could not locate but on our return to the car we located it. Thanks for the cache
In a few hours the country will change to to Covid19 Alert Level 2 so the cache has been enabled in readiness. Stay safe. Use hand sanitizer.
Due to the government ordered Covid-19 lockdown, I am doing my bit to slow the spread. I will not be accepting any Found logs on any of my geocaches for the period of the Level 4 Alert.
Please do not embarrass yourself, your hobby and your country by thinking that geocaching is essential - it is not.
STAY HOME. STAY SAFE.

When our mechanic closed his business (for family reasons) & took a job in Rangiora. This means that when I bring the car out for a WoF or service I need to do something to fill in my day. I've run out of Rangiora caches within walking distance, but they have loan cars! Today I travelled in all directions but South, finding 34 caches (& not finding 3). I'll apologise now for the cut & paste logs, but I'll try to add a bit about each cache here:
This had to be a cache for me! I'm Mike and I like my greens! Having said that, I did see how the cache got its name really.
A nice easy find at GZ, once I got past the spiky guardians.

It was good to embark on a flat walk after earlier taking on a reasonably challenging climb. I soon figured out what this cache was all about and quickly found a good route to the cache site.
Lot of ivy here. I guess Mike likes his greens! Could not find the cache though.
This took a little bit of finding, but we got it. 4 of us signing as girl power on a great day out starting in N Rangiora then Loburn and Glentui. TFTC
Tee her briliant description. Didn't take us 4 grey hairs too long to track down. Thanks, BaldEd. #3590
Very clever clue, enjoyed finding this cache. Did this with friends and signed the log book Girl Power which is made up of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and Lyttleton Witch. Thanks for this cache BaldEd
Took a moment for the Girl Power team of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch to find but we got there.
Arrived at GZ and saw lots of objects that made sense of the cache name and the description. But having searched every one at least twice I must be a lousy searcher. Lots of long grass so it might be well hidden. Whatever the case its no walk in the park. Thanks anyway.
YAY! I was keen to get back and locate this cache as soon as possible after replacement, but I ended up getting home really late every day this week - not that I can complain as there were always caches involved... This morning I changed up my routine a little, and headed out this way first thing in the morning. I wish I could say that it was a quick and easy find this time, but not quite so. I was doing another dance around the vegetation, getting slightly worried about missing my first appointment of the day, wondering whether I should/can give up, again, but then it happened!!! and I was even left with a little time to drop something nearby TFTC and the quick replacement!!!
Away for an overnight stay
Sadly no easy find for us.
Might give it another try tomorrow.

Yeah, nah. Second attempt, and a nice long one, but this remains the closest unfond to home for me for now!
Think this one has gone missing CO might need to check on this one. Had a pretty good look but wasn’t able to come up trumps
A pleasant stroll down the path, a few cyclists and motor bikes to avoid. A few misguided attempts at GZ but I finally got the GPS to play fair and there it was. Cheers
#3,229: Mike's Smiley!
I came to this one with tandem4 and GeoYoungling #3 on a great autumn morning. We had originally tried this one from the other side, then decided to leave it until the way back. We then moved over to the river-side track, and made the quick find.

A very enjoyable autumn bike ride on a sunny day with 8ManAfter and Akira. Many thanks. Picked up the TB.
Just as well he's keen because there were a fair few to sample. Love the cache title. TFTC # 12,238
Had I thought about it, the name would have puzzled me a little but it was one of those times when I figured the answer before I'd got round to asking the question. -- - That reduced the number of hiding places to check too so the log was soon being signed. Left a kiwi-nomad trackable. TFTC .
A long geocaching highway, but with no hint.....it was a nono for us. Would wondering if it is gone again?!
Well with Teacher only day, and an adventure on the cards, with a 5 and a 7 yr old, what better thing to do but "discover" a cache. (And a new log book) Having a safe river close by made it even better, with stones to throw, dams to be made and water that was only centimetres deep. A fun afternoon so thanks once again E.

The cache is all there... sadly bone of it is in the container and everything is soaked so could not write in log. I've but all the bits together but this cache definitely needs replacing.
I spent quite a bit of time searching for this one, and the GPS playing up and sending me places did not help. I also assumed that I know what type of vegetable Mike is keen on, which as a nutritionist I should never do I ended up needing to PAF but still did not get there, even thou I ended up in the same (presumably) hole - twice!! I did find a spot that fitted the description I obtained, but no sign of the cache. An empty condom pack did not boost my confidence of finding it either...

Got it, just as I was about to flag it!! Agree with previous logs ... great wording and it not nearly as hard as I initially tried to make it!! TFTC:-)
Happy to finally get this one off my DNF list. Pretty sure I'm not the only one who has been over thinking and getting stumped on this hide... after checking a lot more difficult hiding spots first, like last time, I found the cache in a very sensible location... TFTC (3236)
Somehow dnf here over a year ago, but quick find today . Not as tricky as we thought on first visit! Thanks
We initially cycled along the wrong track, but realised our error when we found terrain 5 between us and the cache. We retraced our steps for a quick easy find in a logical place. TFTC
2Nd time lucky. Was about to give up. Must of walked past it a number of time. Dont over think it. Gps jumped around.
Well despite 3 kids with eyes wide open it was Crood K "Eagle Eye" who found this. Took us several entries and a Colourblind son to spot this due to a bit of colour misdirection from Crood Dad. Oops I take things far too literally.
Well I have been to this cache many times, and thought right just one more time while I am in the area, After ages hunting again I sat down and re read things and had an aha moment and the aha moment paid off, And as usual I have no idea how I had missed it on all my other visits. So glad to have this one off my list. TFTC
Continuing on our Mega trip with tmann421 and enjoying the variety of caches in the area.

Found as a part of my Mega day walk along the Ashley River/Rakahuri Trail.
It was a beautiful day for a trip, and I had a nice walk.
This one took a little bit longer to find ... obviously hundereds of possible hiding places :->

DNF today, I took a leaf out of Bald Eds book and spent no more that 5 mins looking. I'll be back again at some point!

Haha.... I'm obviously more stubborn than Ed..... I got 300 m down the track towards the next cache when I turned around and thought "one more try." I quickly found second time around woohoo a smiley! A fav point for me for bringing out my stubbornness! TFTC

Strolled to the correct area on the wrong path and after a short bush bash got to a very vague and fidgety GZ. We were both about to give up on it when the Geowife discovered this elusive container. Took longer than we really would have liked but TFTC.

After attending the twilight event for the Mega, yorkshirekiwi83 and I spent the evening finding a few caches before heading back to our accommodation at the Mega. After reading the description we knew exactly where to look for this and the ache was a nice quick find - the developing geotrail also helped. TFTC!

On my way to the MEGA - Day 2.
Heading towards the pre MEGA Event in Rangiora and contemplated doing the cycle trail so came here to check it out and give the bike a bit of a run after all the dirt roads I've been driving on to get here.
A quick find.
