Walked down during a quick stop at the nearby day use area. No luck finding the cache but it was a nice walk.
A work trip to Geraldton gave me the chance to drive the long way and cross off another couple of LGAs.
Awoke to a marvellous day. Headed out before brekkie to grab a few.
Made a quick find of true container but here was no log book. Walked back to the car to grab a replacement. A fave from me.
TeamBastholm SVKR_WA found your cache on 9 Mar 2018 at 08:26:31.

Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.
Should be called no littering I think

Since son is home on his work break to house/dog sit and we got the rare go ahead to go away so it looks like another mini geo road trip it is
Let Home at 5.15am this morning which wasn't too bad tho didn't think muggle had it in him
A quick find at the only place it could be. Great hide

All good with cache and replaced as found

This is one of those caches where it is just best to use geo sense as there does not really seem to be anywhere a cache could be hidden. After checking a couple of possible places and finding nothing, it was time to stand back and think. Then something was spotted and the cache was soon found. Thanks to TeamBastholm for another interesting find.
Another smiley added here today on our way towards home from a 5 week Kimberley and Pilbara break TFTC
After spending the morning caching on Cape Burney with iluvtrekking, we grabbed a few caches while heading back to our accommodation. Nice hide. Thanks TeamBastholm
We spent the day around Cape Burney today, while the boys were riding the Greenough River Trail on their bikes, Mrs richlink and I set out on our own adventure. Nice one, thanks TeamBastholm.
We are up here from mandurah for IGD 2016, after starting work at 7am yesterday, finishing at 2.30pm and then a 7 hour drive because of geo-pup and her frequent stops we finally have GC in hand!
This one eluded geo mum but geo dad soon had it in hand!

Day 5 of our road trip to Geraldton and a better day than yesterday if you don't count the morning - which we missed . We had a good afternoon visiting a number of quality caches and only got rained on twice which was OK given we got a good 2 hour walk in and topped it off with coffee and cake on the fore shore at the end of the day.
An interesting twist on this style of cache which was nicely done - hope to be able to replicate this down south
An FP from us.
Thanks for the cache TeamBastholm [^] - we made the find and the cache was in good order and the log dry .
This was find # 4 of 16 and 0 today giving us a total cache count of 3191.

I could not pedal any faster along Glendinning !!
Like many motorists, speed humps don't slow you down at all
Rather they become a challenge !!
Something to take at as high a speed as possible
Easy on a pushbike !!
But with so many modified 4WD's in Geraldton, this obstacle course can only encourage speeding [:o]
As for those unfortunate property owners who live near a speed hump,
they have to listen to the hoons who do not have raised and modified suspensions,
slowing down and speeding off again at each hump in the road [:o]
A far better solution must be available.
Like a miniaturised speed cameras which can act as a 'virtual speed hump'
Oops !! I shouldn't have said that !!
I'm getting in touch with me lawyers to patent that idea tonite !!
It could make me billions
And see all speed humps removed forever
Back to the real world "If"
I found the cache
And how could I not give this cache a fave point ??
I've seen many similar caches,
but the unique twist on this one is sheer caching brilliance [^]

We arrived in Geraldton yesterday and after having breakfast this morning we headed out to find some local caches. We started off ok and then things went downhill with lots of DNFS. We only managed 23 finds today with 11 DNFS and I'm sure most of them were missing with a few tricky ones that we just couldn't find after searching for ages. Hopefully we have more luck tomorrow finding caches. TFTC

Out for a walk with MC_ZOMBIESLAYER & the dogs, forgot our pen but borrowed one from a nearby muggle. Love the hide TFTC TeamBastholm
Fun little hide, we left our pen at home so we borrowed one from a muggle with bigTcup TFTC
Out and about with MC_ZombieSlayer & bigTcup today. Quick find here today by bigTcup - AMAZING camo. TFTC
I am quickly learning there is no such thing as a park and grab in Geraldton! Another quality camo

I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so forever.
Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.
If there is a valid long term problem then a note on the cache will be required every 28 days to keep the listing inactive or it will be archived as an abandoned cache without further notice.

After speaking with Reticbob we are saddened to hear another of our caches has gone missing.
We're pretty sure we found where this should have been. Phoned a friend to confirm. Have checked with with owners and it has gone missing.

Day fifty three of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Another travelling day - Hamelin Pools to Geraldton.
Woke up to a grey day, but the rain didn't start until we were past Northampton - about when we started doing a few caches.
The rain had eased a bit late in the afternoon so we travelled the beach road for a few caches and a few DNFs!
No stealth on a rainy day - no muggles to be seen on the path or in the park.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 8177. Well here we are in Geraldton, arriving to a very wet and windy afternoon. Out we go for some caches and end up with an abysmal tally of 5 finds and 5 DNF's.
A nice quick smilie here and a nice little hide. Things begin to go downhill from here along this beach run though.
Thanks TeamBastholm

Wow! The robroy_co caching crew are on fire! Another smilie for us and another favourite for you! We like hides that are a bit different and your caches definately fit the bill! TFTC
Great hide am giving a favorite point. This is the first time I've seen this type of cache in person. So impressed.
Geowife was on the money with the previous cache, this time geohubby put his hand straight on it! Cache was in good condition and another crafty example. Another great spot and we took some time for a cuppa in this beautiful park. TFTC TeamBastholm
Having a play at the park to encourage to GeoKiddies to burn off some energy and checking for nearby caches. This one is super close but odd require stealth to retrieve. It took a few minutes to find as we initially disregarded location. A very clever cache indeed. We can see a lot of work in this one to create and maintain. A fave from us. TFTC TeamBastholm.
It's good to go but please be gentle when opening it, it doesn't need force to open it.
We are temporarily disabling this cache as some geocachers have been a little heavy handed in opening it and it now needs some repairs.
Found the likely spot easily, but it was a struggle to actually retrieve it. Didn't go back together as well as it could have.

This was another find in Western Australia while crossing Northern Territory and Western Australia from Darwin to Perth on Gibb River Road through the Kimberlys. During this 8500km journey we've met many nice and friendly people [^], visited countless marvelous places, saw lots of interesting local wildlife (and plants), took some 2500 pictures home and logged some 300 Caches .
This is a very cool hide . We've approached the right object right from the beginning, but it took a while until we figured out how to get to the log . This is definitively worth a FP [^]. We might reproduce this here in Switzerland one day .
Thanks for the cache, we've enjoyed it very much [^].

These kind of Caches we like. Good Coordinates and a clever hide, that does not tell the secret at once. Well done! Another FP!
Stealth definitely needed. Caches like this make the game a lot more interesting. TFTC
On our way from Perth to Darwin we saw many great things and places - many of them thanks to geocaching! We thank the owners for sharing their favorite spots with us by hiding their caches!
Brilliant cache. Just glad Mrs Dentoz got it before I got tools from the car and used brute force. TFTC.
Sad to see houses being allowed to be built on the beachfront like in NSW.

This was our 5th cache find in a caching run of 7 Finds & 4 DNFs today.
We found it at 14:28 so this now makes our total find count 7240.

Wow, what a neat way of hiding this cache. A favorite point for ingenuity and engineering.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks TeamBastholm for the hunt today.

Very crafty indeed! I figured out where it would be straight away but it still took some convincing of the 'guardian' that that was the case! Now I am standing on the beach track waiting for early morning walking muggles to finish a conversation near GZ so I can replace! Nice hide. Greetings from Brisbane
Think we r catching on to how u guys do things.easy find but fanastic hiding.noone would know.!! TFTC!
Doing a morning of caching before heading to the event and made a time limit on how much time I would spend at each cache so ended up not finding some.
Found this cache without problems in the first place I looked after arriving at GZ. Another clever cache.
Thanks TeamBastholm for the cache.

Day 4, caching around Geraldton, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
This is the best one of this type that we have ever seen, good job.
A favourite point from us, for sure.
Thanks for the cache, TeamBastholm.

Sat in the car for 5 minutes waiting for the rain to slacken off then a quick dash in the drizzle to gz and fortunately a quicker find. Back to the car, signed log and returned cache. Neat one, thanks TeamBastholm. Moses the TB enjoyed getting wet.
After a very disappointing morning attempting two previous caches we headed over to try our luck finding this one, feeling desparate as we need to find a cache today. Much to my surprise whilst I visited a nearby convienence Ian found the cache, signed the log and was ready to go again. Phew! Sigh of relief for today.
Thanks TeamBastholm.
Thanks TeamBastholm.

6:50. I too was settling in for the night when I saw this released. I decided I would take a look in the morning on my way past to work. Nano and 3 stars. Grrr. I'll give myself 5 minutes. Presto!! Cache was in hand in less than 5. Not much traffic about at this time of the morning. Another ingenious creation TeamBastholm. Worthy of a point! Thanks
