This one is too far out of my usual drive to work for me to maintain.... work doesn't look like it's going to easy up any time soon so this has to go.... sorry

04-Dec-16
Been to geozone jeeps and still can't find it.

11-Nov-16
Scaled every branch of that tree today and no luck with a find! Can someone confirm that it is still there?

15-Oct-16
Not found.

27-Aug-16
We had a look for this one and a climb around but didn't locate the container today.

27-Feb-16
The park was busy with muggles chasing dogs and throwing things for them, so I took my time to narrow down where the cache might be, and try to spot it from the ground. This was unsuccessful so eventually I bit the bullet and headed skywards, and was happy to find the cache safely tucked away quite a distance off the ground.

I signed the log, and then had a nice conversation with the muggle about why I was climbing the tree. He thought it was great.

Thanks for the cache Hiddo!

26-Jan-16
Found the container on the ground. Enjoyed clambering up the tree to hide it in a much higher spot. Hope the next cacher enjoys the hunt!

Perhaps the co should check up on it.

TFTC SL.

17-Jan-16
Easy eye level find

16-Jan-16
Could actually reach it from the ground, so probably not the right location. TFTC

Well with my NOR school holiday Visa granted, the shopping and lunch done I headed of for a quick afternoon of caching NOR with m4yb as my chauffeur. I'm always up for a bit of climbing so I made like a Jane and up I went after climbing and searching and climbing some more sadly no cache was found. Seeing m4yb knew the CO I asked her to give her a call for a bit of assistance and sadly she confirmed the cache was likely AWOL. Disheartened I returned to terra firma only for m4yb to go 'OMG' there was the cache alive and well resting on the ground. So signed the log and to make sure I received my T4 smiley I made like a Tarzan this time and went climbing again to return the cache to what was thought to be its original spot. TFTC and help Hiddo, I had lots of fun here. and so glad my Sad became a Smile

20-Dec-15
No luck today

Came back with a pen this time to sign the log. It is a tricky climb and quite difficult to sign the log while you are up there.

14-Apr-15
Great place

03-Apr-15
Found it but we will need to return with a pen. It is quite a tricky climb!

24-Mar-15
I was very happy to climb this tree at my local park. And much more of a climb than I expected!
Take the time to have a swing or seesaw or walk up the steep path to look over the world.
Bring your dog and then look further on geocaching or on google maps to find the long parks that weave between the houses from Brompton down to Chipping Rd and have a nice walk find a couple more caches on the way Smile
Thanks Hiddo

07-Mar-15
Another tree climb, Woohoo. Again, there was no-one around. Where is everyone? Oh well, quick grab, sign and back down the tree. Tftc Hiddo.

26-Jan-15
Could actually see it from ground level, but a bit beyond our climbing abilities.

14-Dec-14
Finding caches to help fill in the d/t grid this one was one that was close and tree climbing I enjoy so made a quick find here TFTH

12-Dec-14
TFTC! Found on a day out with Cravo10 & ItsKate to complete more of the 359 Tourist Drive Series and some other caches along the way. Thanks

09-Dec-14
A quick climb and quicker descent. TFTC.

26-Oct-14
Before publishing a few of my own tree climbing caches I wanted to check out what others had done. Started the climb and then saw where this one was hidden. Quite an easy climb up the tree but I think I rushed my descent and it didn't go quite as well. The bark was quite slippery and I hit the ground a bit sooner than I was expecting. I didn't lose any skin though so all fine. Thanks for the cache Hiddo. I do enjoy climbing trees although this wasn't one of my more glamorous efforts.

07-Oct-14
Found it but couldn't reach it on a dewy day

30-Aug-14
We found it. Lot of climbing.

28-Aug-14
We had been looking for some caches with a higher DT rating so when we saw a number of tree climbing ones we loaded them up for our visit.

Our third tree cache for the day and again we parked close and headed over. We circled the target and looked to see which branches had some wear which helped us spot the hide. This climb was a little trickier than the others but we found a comfortable spot to complete the signing duties. We replaced the hide and then clambered down. TFTC

Met up with Mr. iluvtrekking and Mr. Richlinks to do some ladder work in the area, Armed with the ladder, we manage to get this one easily and safely even though the boys have done this one. And Mr. Richlink was off after finishing all the high ones..TFTC

Loved this one! My Tarzan is afraid of heights so this Jane had to climb to retrieve, challenging for little geocachers to get.

17-Aug-14
finally after 4 visits, i find it Smile

Third tree climb in a row! What better time to climb than at dusk ... in the wet ... in work gear! Smile. TFTC.

Can see it but too high for us to climb.

Tough find but got there.
Thanks for the challenge!

My GEOBRO GEOdad and I snuck out just before it got dark and went down to the local park to find this last cache for the day. My GEObro used his climbing skills to swing his way up to the cache. It was a bit of a challenge spotting this mini container as it was getting dark. After all it was a good challenging cache to finish off the day.

20-Apr-14
Cool fun, luv'd climbing through the branches, getting up proved easier than getting down! TFTH (and the climb!)

18-Apr-14
Found it and the geokiddie swung up into the branches to retrieve it. Climbs not for the faint hearted. TFTH Big Grin

I do enjoy a well hidden D1½/T1½ cache, BUT THIS is the reason I keep on caching! To find the more challenging caches and work out how I can try to do that closer to home is the real AIM.
(Sorry about the late logging - 11/5) Just realised I had skipped a page or two from my log book.

1635 GAFF1 My aim for the last day of my 'short trip' to Perth (oxymoronic I know) had been to get as many different types of caches I could easily get, and having already achieved 7 I was very satisfied, but when I heard about such a delightful challenge I thought I would just have to give it a go. (If you ever get over to the East coast you are WELCOME to try some of my 'tree' caches!) The coordinates got me to an obvious hiding object, so up I went, but it took a short while to find the correct aspect. The coordinates were within 3m with my GPSr, so I am very glad it was only the cache container that I accidently dropped and not the Rino. Cache dry and intact. Then i just had to catch the cache single handed and place it back again.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, Aussie Christmas Geocoin, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, Explorer Tag - Jeremy, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, GxPROXY Traveller - MATT, Iconic Bridges 2012, Mei letzter Schilling, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, Semmels first 1,000 Geocoin, The Cache Koala, White Rabbit, X-Mas Geocoin 2011, and trackable shirts.

After Graham Cookie's enjoyable event at Jackadder Lake and the consuming his some yummy icecream slice, we adjourned to this cache with our visitor from NSW, who bravely played Tarzan in this very cool tree. We gave verbal support from the ground level and a hurrah when cache was located. Thanks Graham Cookie, thanks Hiddo for the cache, found while you were sunning yourself very much north of our city!

02-Mar-14
After a very delightful afternoon at Add'a Jack Cookie and Ice Cream, the offer for this came up without borrowing geo kids, so off we went.

Thinking Hiddo will get a surprise when she see's this, but enjoy the sunshine while you can and thanks for this hide and rating increase.

28-Jan-14
Had fun climbing the tree and almost got stuck at the top

Out with Mistraluna and the Better Half for a day of caching.

After the last cache I wasn't going to climb this one but lucky we had somebody willing so the log was signed.

Thanks Hiddo for the cache.

Back from three weeks holiday on the Gold Coast and I was amazed at the number of caches that have sprung up in the area during this time. So I felt it was worth making another trip on the bike out to City Beach to drop off some TBs and earn some more smileys. This was find number 10. I rode to the end of Tanderra Place to discover a very steep path at the end that was blocked off to bikes. So I left the bike at the top, and walked the steep path down to GZ, hoping that no-one would nick off with the bike. I generally knew what to expect with this cache, but I was a little surprised at how challenging the climb would actually be. I climbed up about halfway before I actually made visual contact with the cache and at that point I wasnt completely sure if I could make it up there. I gave it a go anyway and it wasnt so bad after all. When I was up there, it was actually quite comfortable. What a great hide. When I got back to my bike, there was an elderly couple eyeing it over pretty closely. I don't think they were going to steal it, but I was glad I was back up the hill before they had any bright ideas. TFTC Hiddo

Scary climb.

[:(!] Seeing I had nothing better to do today than to a caching run to fill in my idle time, so I left at 8.30am on my geobike and arrived home about 5.30pm and this was one of them, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Back up in the city today with geobuddy Mark, heading north of the river to tackle some more caches west of the freeway. Another one that was missing last weekend but was back in place ready to be found today. Enjoyed the climb a second time though. Thanks Hiddo

Yes it was gone - have put another in place and attached a pic of below view....

Will check on this tonight

No luck here.

Headed north again today, this time to team up with AmstradKid (I had hoped that Jazl would be along for the adventure, but she had to stay at home due to the likelihood of snakes in the area we were targeting). Couldn't leave the area without trying for a few of the other nearby caches. Never one to pass up the opportunity to climb a tree, I relished the chance to grab a smiley at this one. But it wasn't to be. Despite climbing up every conceivable limb, with my companion guiding me from below to every possible hiding spot, no cache was found. Will be watching to see when it is found next. Enjoyed the climb though. Thanks Hiddo

No luck
I had a good climb though so cherrs

Found it. Smile
I was interested in this one after reading the logs and was in the area for work so after I went looking for this one.
Arrived at GZ and tried to spot from ground for no result, so up the tree I go bringing back memories of my youth spent up many a tree.
Spotted cache and had to climb down for a pen. Back up tree signed log took a photo and scrambled back down.
Great cache, happy to have got this one.

After doing a couple of circuits of the tree, I glimpsed something high up which I hoped was the container. Mr iluvtrekking provided the boost up and support as geo-hubby's hiking boots were lacking in traction. Guided geo-hubby to the spot and fortunately we were rewarded with a smiley. Thanks Hiddo.

27-Oct-13
Mrs richlink spied the container from below and provided the men folk with verbal instructions on the art of tree climbing, cache recovery techniques and various safety issues from ground level while the men grappled with climbing the tree and tactfully telling Mrs richlink that everything was under control. I did all the hard work, like holding the dog leads and laughing. Thanks Hiddo, great fun.

Found it ! Watch out for the magpies - swooping season

30-Sep-13
Lucky my husband had his climbing shoes on!

23-Sep-13
Loved the adventure here! Had to wait a couple of minutes for and old yoga-man to disappear, climbed up like a monkey and grabbed the cache. TFTH

19-Sep-13
Took us a while but required our monkey skills Smile great hiding place

19-Sep-13
Glad I have a Tarzan with me... He climbed for me... Signed the log. Thanks Hiddo.

18-Sep-13
Too old to climb a tree!

15-Sep-13
Decided to head out to Bunnings on the bike this morning and stopped to grab this one. Bike shoes are not the best for this activity, but with my best Me Tarzan yodelling I set off up the wet and slippery bark.

Quickly found and attempted to follow the CO's suggestion of signing in situ, but dropped the lid of the cache and had to repeat the Tarzan stuff to close the cache.

Out Caching with Geofriends, clearing up a lot of recently published caches.

Out of the four us we sent the oldest and most mature member up the tree to grab the cache.!!

Mrs Felix spotted the lost lid, so all is now secure.

I am certainly no Jane and the proof is in the very shaky K.B. scrawled randomly on the part of the log I could access while hugging the tree. I will put a call out on fb this afternoon in the hope to fix a situation that arose and in the mean time I apologise for this problem and will replace the log if required. I was balanced as best as I could when I began to shake with fear. It was inevitable that either the cache or I would hit the deck. I am pleased to report that it wasn't me who splatted but the lid of the cache did drop. I have placed the cache bottom up (btw the cache was visible when I arrived and I wonder whether a decent wind wouldn't blow it down).

Edit: Thanks to the FelixII duo, the cache lid has been returned. If only Mr Felix had visited half an hour earlier!!!

Thanks for the cache.

Impromptu caching trip with FelixII and The Machman.
Beaten up the tree by Mr Felix, and made the grab after some directions from the ground.
This was a welcomed faster find than the previous dnf's!
Thanks for the challenge Hiddo!

13-Sep-13
Late night plans made for a catch up this morning with Amryall and The Machman saw us join together for a few hours caching today. Big Grin

Had a list of caches to tackle and this was next on the list.

We hadn't read the cache page before arriving but one of us read the logs, and saw KB's dilemma prior to reaching GZ. That gave us some forewarning of what was to come.

Well Mr Felix (the youngest of the group.... not [:o)] ) was in a show off mood and up the first tree he could find he went. Well the cache wasn't going to come out instantly and he was a bit miffed and thought he might have to come down. The rest of us checked the surrounding trees and didn't spot anything obvious so back to 'Tarzan' and sure enough Mrs Felix finally spotted the cache, took some directions to get him in the right spot but soon enough we got there.

Then we started looking for the lost lid once we knew what it looked like. Well talk about dumb luck to find that. We looked everywhere on the ground and no luck. Then Mrs Felix walked up to the tree and put her hand in a spot where a cache might hide and was in the middle of saying oh well no luck and stopped mid sentence realising that she already had the lid in hand [B)] [:o)]

Log signed for everybody cache placed back securely with its lid on and time to move along.

I still can't believe KB went up there, this is not a cache for people with a fear of heights! [8)]

Ducked out early to grab this one, I was especially keen to get this one due to the difficulty rating and had plenty of fun in the process.

On our way home and saw this one published so thought we'd try for a FTF and we got it, yay! Wearing a dress, I thought it more appropriate to send 6yo geoson up. After a lot if hoisting and directing, we soon had the cache in hand. Co-rods were spot on! Now replacing it was more difficult. 6yo remained in the tree at GZ whilst I hoisted 4yo up with the cache. Wasn't long until it was safely hidden away. SL, TFTC Hiddo!
