After a fruitless morning was good to get a cache after searching wrong tree first!!!
All the works in the area is now completeI checked cache this morning and all is good to goCheers
Work is still in progress along the channel it should be finished in 4 weeksSorry for the inconvenience
Due to work on the Chanel here this cache has to be disabledThe area is all fenced off this may take a few weeksThe area is all fenced offSorry for any inconvenience. But I will keep you posted
An absolutely pearla of a day to do some caching while here to celebrates friends birthdays. Just stunning! Thanks for bringing me here Aussie Fun SeakersRegardskbuckyPS trust coords and I have new respect for these types of containers as log is surprisingly dry
Took a while to find the cache at GZ, but got it in the end.Today we left Echuca and traveled the short distance to Cohuna with short diversions into Gunbower and Leitchville with a number of other stops for caches as well.We have a fantastic camp right in the middle of town in Cohuna with a grassy sight on the lake. Couldn't ask for more!We spent the afternoon catching up with family after a bike ride round the area.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Aussie Fun Seakers.**SKI Pair****
We finally got the chance to come up and camp at Gunbower Island for a few days. While there was lots of relaxing and fishing going on, there was also some geocaching to be done. During the local Cohuna Parkrun this morning, Chook was well aware that she was walking/jogging past the first waypoint for this cache but wasn't going to stop to look for it at that time. Fuelled up by breakfast afterwards, she returned with Chunk and we made short work of this neat little multi. All good at GZ. TFTC Aussie Fun Seakers.
Earmarking the multis in town, I came here.
Calcs done easily, or so I thought, as the cache took ages to find... so many tall soursobs here. Eventually found in plain sight 7m away!

Today was our day to hit up Cohuna, reasoanbly happy with our haul and thoroughly enjoyed the explore. Spent a bit in the local butchers, some yummy offerings to be had. Love the walks around this area and can imagine the guides have a lot of fun. Multi worked out easily enough and cache found without difficulty. Tftc
This took us longer than it should have!!!
Eventually found it!
TFTC and information regarding the history of the replacing of the old scout hall which was open and active this evening.
We made good use of their facilities too.

This cache took a bit of finding. We were distracted by the more obvious hiding locations. In the end it was sitting there at GZ.
e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Found as I made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Wangaratta with Freddo.
We meandered our way across northern Victoria, camping along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks. We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other caches opportunistically as we were passing.
Stopped by quickly to collect the required information, then it was a short wander over to GZ. We overthought the hide a bit here and it was finally spotted not where we expected.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for the cache.

Had a great day out with LittleBoss2 where she clocked over her 800th find. Not a great day weather wise, but a great day cache wise in and around this cache rich town. Our thanks to all the CO's for their part in our tour, and for very accurate coords despite the clouds above.
Away for a couple of days with Bogonghazy. Enjoying the walks around Cohuna. Thanks for placing the Geocache
In and around Cohuna for a few days and able to find a few caches while in the area This one has been an epic fail over several visits to Cohuna in the past. It seems that each time my phone has wandered about the wrong area. This time in desperation I looked outside my previous search area and there it was. How did I not find it first attempt? TFTC Aussie Fun Seekers
Nice walk around. Sorted out the coordinates & headed off. Short search & soon had cache in hand. TFTC
Heading to Cohuna for some cache maintenance and clearing "stray" caches on the way.
This one has eluded us on at least 2 previous occasions, but with a little point in the right direction from CO today, the cache was quickly in hand.

With our next destination being Echuca for 2 nights we targeted some older caches, multis and just whatever other trads we passed along our way.
After doing another multi in town we headed to this one. Once at the sign we gathered the necessary info and did the simple maths. Must have been too simple as silly me made one error which had us looking a little bit away from the real GZ. After not having any luck I recalculated to find my mistake and then the male Triton was able to make the easy find Doh!
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for highlighting this area.

Alas no scouts found, but did find a cache container

Again another that eludes us, or is it that we don't have our eye in after a long dought in geocaching.
Muggled at about the same time we were about to give up - by someone I went to school with. She was out walking with her grandies.
We will be back.

With the promise of much warmer weather we set out early for a day's caching around Leitchville and Cohuna. As on previous days we found a variety of caches in historic and interesting locations. A background in Scouting gave us an extra interest in this cache.
Our thanks to 'Aussie Fun Seakers' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Day #11 of the adventure although it’s day 2 of adventures on my own as the others had to go home. Today I’m working my way to Echuca.
After being recommended by Aussie fun seekers last time I was here I set out to find this one as the last Cohuna cache on my list (except the yak ones which I’m not currently equipped for). A nice simple stroll and find.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing the hide!

Despite it being a bit hot and humid today we're enjoying taking in the town and it's surrounds and this cache was a nice easy find.

Great place for a scout hall with plenty of room for the little monsters to play without terrorizing the local residents. I wonder what they use the old shipping container for? Perhaps it's the "Naughty Container" where recidivist scouts are placed!

The Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants managed to get a weekday of caching organised so we could get up to Cohuna for the event. We cached via Pyramid Hill and collected a few along the way.
We gathered the information without difficulty but boy it took some finding - eventually we spotted it in the undergrowth and retrieved it.
Thanks for contributing to a fun day Aussie Fun Seakers

Our timing wasn't great with this one. School pick-up time. We had the required numbers solved in no time. It took longer to find the container.

The Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants were out on the road again today, destination an event in Cohuna. Took a few goes to find the right track into this one, right on school pickup time! Took longer to find the cache than solve the answers. TFTC
8772 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1355. Having been involved in scouting back in the 80's and 90.s and a scout at 1st Wakool in the late 50's early 60's this was a must. Information gained ,it was time for a short stroll to gz we hoped. The container with the rain of the last few days was difficult to see. As we backed off there was the lid quite visible.SL Tnx Aussie Fun Seakers.
Happy Mothers day to all.
Day 2 Cohuna camping in the RV park
Today we travelled up to Kerang & return caching around Cahuna late in the afternoon.
While hubby rested I walked to collect the information for this cache, took a while to find at GZ.

Found by Mary and David at 1300. Oh giggle! Mary noted the required information, but David keyed in a wrong number, which pointed to an unlikely place. Corrected the error and had a much better result. Relocated to the new GZ and found the cache after a short search. Our thanks to Aussie Fun Seakers.
With no local knowledge it took a while to work out how to get to this one. The GPS wanted us to drive across the canal but that was never an option.
Found the needed information, did the maths and walked to GZ. Poked around for quite a while but couldn't find a cache.
Went back and checked my answers and calculations but they took me back to the same spot!!!!
Tried a bit harder and before long found the cache container. The coordinates were quite accurate too so it should have been found the first time.
Persevered here because we didn't want 2 DNF's in a row.
Thanks.

Rex and I headed out for a day's caching with the intention of finding a cache in Leitchville that I had previously DNFd at least twice and we had a pretty good day with just the two of us making 15 finds and only 2 DNFs at the last 2 cache hunts for the day.
Although the trip did involve a policeman and it was ONLY 8.30pm when he stopped to take my details in Cohuna as I searched for a cache near the CFA He didn't even mention the spider web of duct tape that covered the cardboard over Harry's still shattered rear canopy window!
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
I love the bush sights in Victoria [^] and the history and stories of the determination of the pioneers. [^]

Suscoe had a big day out to the north west of Echuca today.
Clear skies, beaut weather, a warm sun and caching, what could be better!!!
We enjoyed wandering the roads and little towns as we went.
Thanks to the Aussie Fun Seekers for this hide.
We enjoyed finding out a bit more here.
A nice spot for the scouts too.

We rarely do multis but did this one geocaching friends becsin4. TFTC. Found with my Westie Besties Maggie and Mollie and help from our Carer Lis Brown on our trip from Shepparton to Mildura.
Blends in very well. Found with our new geofriends angus88 & bells08. Coords got us pretty close and was spotted after we saw a bottle under the tree. Nope that's not it, but wait, what is this? Ah. SL. TNLN. TFTC!
Walked along the path from Gilrule Walk No. 1 quickly worked out the final GZ and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Off on the track again enjoying the beautiful day and the area, come across WP1 worked out the next bit and headed off, this one was a very quick find, signed log and replaced back where it was hiding , thanks for another-find
GZ was an excellent hide in what I thought would be an unlikely place . It was a bit difficult to get to for me but thankfully had a lithe ex-scouter with me on my journey - otherwise I may have still been looking! TFTC.
Find No. 910. Found at 1.50pm with FUF009 and strange quark1
After attending the 'Meet and Greet' event at Cohuna today, off we went to find a few caches.
After doing Gilrule Walk 1 we all walked down to do this multi. With the final co-ords off we went to locate the cache. With the few bushes in the area we guessed it had to be in one of them but which one was the question. After searching for a bit we managed to locate it.
Took spaceship spinner. Left pirate eraser.

What a perfect day for caching. The sun shone brightly, the ute hummed melodically and Cohuna had turned out in all its glorious colours.
After attending the Cohuna Meet and Greet the overwhelming desire to get out there and grab a few caches soon kicked in so I was off.
Teamed up with one half of the Tyred N Cranky team and FUF009 we went for a wander to grab this little multi. Soon enough we were at the indicated GZ and the search was on. I must have gone right past it, but it was FUF009 that saw the cache.
We soon signed and then split up for the remainder of the afternoon. TFTC

Having been a Scout Leader for 17 years, this was a definite on my list of caches to find whilst we were here for the event. A nice easy multi too after crossing over the bridge, and a very pleasant stroll in the sunshine. It was good to have another good scouting pair of eyes with me as well, as I overlooked it, and would have had difficulty in retrieving it. All was good though, we were happy to sign the log and continue on to the other Gilrule Park Walk.
Roving onto the grounds, guided by our GPS', we ventured to scout out this clever multi. When in range, this little joey scored the brownie points by diving in to retrieve the cache from its well concealed hide.

TFTC. Scounted around the river bank for a while, missed it the first time found it on the way back. Cheers.
Found the necessary information, worked out GZ, but then could not discover the cache. Frustration, as I was on a time line and couldn't spend too much time looking. Another day thanks.
Found by Roma and Max.
We continued our stroll along this well maintained walk to find the info needed for our calculation then on to a quick find at GZ.
Thank you again Lorna and John it was nice to at last have the opportunity to turn your local hides into smileys!

A beautiful morning for a walk and the calculations were quickly made. But the find was not so quick. Well done. TFTC
We continued walking from #1 and soon had co-ordinates that looked good....or did they?!! A scout around GZ produced nothing so we did it again. Now how did we miss that! TFTC Aussie Fun Seakers.
Found today after we went for another walk along the river in the cooler part of the day. Very interesting history of the Scout Hall. Thanks to Aussie Funseekers.

I soon reached yet another reminder that Cohuna has a "Men's Shed"
Taking a well crafted seat I pondered the clues and where I might find the answers.
Answers found and I was dib dib dibbing, dob, dob, dobbing off to GZ
A quick twist of me woggle and 'voila' a cache
