After several hunts and grovelling in the bark it was finally located! Thank goodness it's off my to do list now!
A longer search than it should have been - thought I knew what to expect but I was wrong. TFTC.
These types of hides are not on my favorite list, saying that I am not forced to do it.
A male wandering around a playground could look a little suspicious to some. Today
nobody here made quick find then moved on out of here.

We were somewhat relieved when we arrived at this location to find it deserted. Accurate coordinates and a highly likely hiding spot led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache cazza_thats_me.
Preconceptions don't help! Thought it would be a particular type of hide so when it wasnt it took a little longer to find. Lovely early evening bike ride from to nearby caravan park.
You would think when you have 2 caching families holidaying together that we would have had numerous caches under our belt on this fine afternoon. But this was, in fact, the one and only cache we found today. We got a bit caught up in Halloween festivities today and so Hera and I had to sneak out when (almost) no one was looking and fang it over here on our bikes like a pair of delinquents. Coming from the caravan park we cut up the bike path and thru the pine trees behind the equestrian centre. It makes for an interesting ride through the pine needles and then past the old pub. We looked in all the usual spots for this cache, thinking that it was magnetic. But we came up empty handed. Then a lightbulb went off in Hera's head and she found the cache. Quick sign and we rode home like the wind to get the little kids in bed before we got found out for zipping off for our caching fix. Please note that there was a responsible adult supervising the kids while we snuck off. TFTC
Wooot, 2 reasons to come to Wonthaggi... There's a couple of events and our friend who has been staying down here for 8 weeks is coming back to Melb next week so we need to squeeze another visit in!!
After finishing the wetlands caches there was time for one more before the Arvo Tea Event.
We HAD to choose this one being Hawks fans and having run out of time to do it last time we were here !!!

After finishing work in Wonthaggi, I grabbed a few of the Footy Fever caches around town on a cold winters day. what a great bbq area. sl Thanks cazza that's me for the cache
TFTC. We had spent the morning readying the Motorhome for our Sunday departure to warmer climes. I was determined to get to 500 caches before we left, so this afternoon did a loop from Inverloch through Kongwak , Dalyston and Wonthaggi before heading to Inverloch.
Just down the road from TAFE. The GPS did not wat to settle on this cold overcast afternoon. At least there were no tiny muggles playing on the equipment so had the place to myself. Found it.

No kids around so a quick find. Then amazed to see a great old pub just up the street, must have an interesting history. Go hawks. TFTC
Quick find. Thanks for the cache - I'll suffer the subject matter for a smiley. TFTH
Found while night caching with Geobears and PB. It had no log in it, so I stuck a couple on notebook pages in a plastic bag. TFTC
A great days caching with many differing experiences, some where I walked right to the cache and others where I needed to hunt around a bit. As usual I have enjoyed the various challenges set by the CO's and the fact that I get to cache with friends and am outside in the great outdoors.
Many thanks cazza_thats_me for placing this cache .

Catching up with late logs.
We were sitting at the event when a few teams decided to go look for a few caches whilst we were waiting for the all important meet to cook.
We joined Alansee,The Coffee's. The Drovers, micaparamedic, maccamob and The Swaggies for a quick trip around town.
This was the last one for us before we headed back to the lunch time event and we were soon adding all our names to the log one last time
Thanks for the cache.

Found by Mary & David, along with Crackers, Drovers, Coffees, Micaparamedic, Alansee and Swaggies, at 1240. This was a similar spot to one we'd found earlier, but a different hiding method. Found after a couple of minutes. Our thanks to cazza_thats_me.
Found with the mob (et al) Coffees, Crackers, Maccamob, Alansee, Drovers & Micaparamedic on a trip around Wonthaggi doing caches none of us had done. Due to the very hot wind today, this place was deserted and so we made a quick find.
TFTC cazza.

While sitting around at the event, we were invited on a quick drive around town to grab a few caches.

One more that I had had a DNF on before but this time the cache was there and in fact it was I that made the find! Because there were so many of us I signed Maccamob, Alansee, et. al.
I had to find this today as I'm a hawks member and the hawks playing in the grand final this Saturday. GO HAWKS SL
This is just across the road from our house so it should have been easy. However it took quite a while for us to even get out there to find it. Looked this morning, didn't find it. Then went out walking down the rail trail, found some others and the kids decided to have another look before they came inside. Success. Very good hide. Thanks cazz thats me
A DNF for me. I gave it a good look to no avail. It has been a while since the last find but no others DNF's so hopefully it is just me.
Taking a leisurely drive along the coast road from Daylston to Cape Patterson and pickung up some caches along the way with friends Liz & Bruce. We went on some good walks and saw some beautiful scenery. Had only a couple of DNF's along the way as most of the caches were good finds, the clues helped in some instances. Thanks to cazza_thats_me for hiding this cache.
We have wanted to visit the Cape Paterson/Inverloch area for some time after hearing the wonderful stories that PPRAS has told us about their annual sojourn to this part of the world. Finally our travels have bought us close by. On quite a fine day we ventured forth with LazzaL for a day of exploring and caching. Beautiful scenery and beaches and a peacefulness that probably belies how the area is in high season had us meandering from cache to cache. This was one we targeted and were able to find. Thanks to cazza_thats_me for placing the cache and enhancing our enjoyment of this wonderful area.
Arrived after dark. Started with the torch, but noticed some muggles across the road through a window, so put away the torch and started feeling around in the dark while the rest of team crib went back to the car as a distraction. Fortunately it was a quick find, meaning we could go back and investigate the old hall up the road a bit more. That did look interesting! Thanks for bringing us out to this corner of thaggi.

Melbourne parties Friday noon and returned Tuesday morning in Melbourne. I came here to make different trail of caches in the area. It was intense few days with my bike but very nice! I could find caches with superb camouflage, very good ideas from the cachers. This log will be the same for all caches that I made (sorry) But I want to congratulate in particular:
Nut bear & BorisB & Natasha for "Bay Trail" and "Red Hill Express" (Beautiful cover!)
The Three Amigos Geo for "The Pathway"
Gonefishen07 for the great "Rail Trail"
As well as other geocacher who I discovered several caches during these few days.
Thank you very much
Greetings from France

Another in this Footy Fever Series bowled over for Bogonghazy and I today. We had an early start, due to the very hot temps forecast, and this was enroute to our walk and bike ride before the Lunchtime event in town. Thanks to cazza_thats_me.
Off for an afternoon of caching with princessdiala and ColeyBaby. After having a toilet stop, we had a quick find. TFTC
Found at 12:23 PM GAFF1. Not a big fan of caches in playgrounds, but fortunately there was no one around today, so a quick grab, sign the log and out of there.

This was one of twelve caches found today during a trip to Wonthaggi for Gonefishen07's meet and greet event. I headed out with my two boys, Tyler and Cooper, and we left a lot later than I had planned but it was such a great day that we just took our time. The weather was perfect and the trip down and back was really cruisey. We had a nice BBQ lunch with some snags I'd cooked on the BBQ, and it was great to catch up with some fellow cachers, while the boys kicked the soccer ball around and played.
Some local kids decided to come out and play just as we arrived here. Luckily they only stayed a few minuted before disappearing up the road again. Found and log signed. The boys had a bit of a play before we headed to the nearby event.
Thanks for the hide.

That's the series. Thanks Cazza, glad we got out of bed this morning and checked for new postings. Now we have a couple of more clicks to walk back home.
