The whole family enjoyed the riding path, some nice views along the way, surprisingly a quick find tftc
After having said "See you soon" to 3ferrets we took one last walk to find the three remining Walking/Cycling caches. This was a quick grab and sign.
Another fun find the the geofamily and new geodog. Kids soon had this CIH. TFTC.
We took a little walk along the beautiful "Lake Munmorah" and found some caches. The weather was good, so we stayed dry.

Find #1186
It was a great day to be out caching today, we managed 17 finds in a few series' in the Lake Munmorah/Summerland Point areas, only 1 DNF today.
After a walk looking for the Quack Family, we were on the Walking/Cycling path.
This one was quite tricky, took a little while to finally find the right spot. TFTC ALL7

Found with TOMBI! and son doing caches around Gwandalan, TOMBI! is trying to keep his 30 Km radius clear. He went off to some Quacking Caches while I did the Walk/Cycle caches. TFTC
All7 take me drive around to Central coast... Oh boy heaps her own caches.. Thank you for help me.... Thanks All7
Quick find although not sure I would class it a micro. Lovely views across the lake. thanks ALL7. Cache OK
I came up to Lake Munmorah to pick up a kayak I bought on Gumtree. I arrived home to find that the CO for almost all the caches we found was down my way finding mine! Amazing! These were the first of many today...riding the lake shoreline with my kids. I haven't got the heart to tell them they are all premium. They were there for the ride and the pokemon though...thanx ALL7
Out and about again today for a little more cache finding.
Today there is a few showers about but nothing too daunting.
A quick find here. Now back to the car.
Thanks for the cache.

Approached GZ and noticed two old fellows taking a break from mowing the lawn around GZ. Not wanting a fail, started looking in a few spots and got the expected "lost something?" Question, and replied that we were searching for treasure with our gps. Happy with our response we set about finding cache, which ended up being meters away from the muggles. They enjoyed patting the hounds and were glad we found the treasure. Had a nice chat and then headed back to one of the caches we missed beforehand.
A few in this series along the shores of the lake have departed this earth over time so I figured it was time to get up here and knock over what's left. This one was a pretty straightforward find though I had to rely on my geo-senses because my phone's GPS wanted me right on the water's edge where there were no hiding spots. Thanks for the cache ALL7 and for the smiley.
Phone GPS kept sending me towards the water. After a quick search and scaring a few insects away, i made my way back to the path and looked elsewhere. Cache was in the first place i looked. TFTC
Out and about with the newly addicted extended geo fam.. Lovely pathway for a great walk with the kids tftc
Got this one yesterday but thanks to the imperial yanks will not need to adjust dates!
Enjoying the morning with an errand in the area giving me good excuse for a cache-walk, I headed to this series after the nearby multi.... At first run through I poked a stick down a number of animal holes but all I revealed was a little lizard that was disturbed from his slumber... After a stroll further afield and back again, I spotted a new hole I hadn't seen earlier... And I didn't even need my stick! Figures! Thanks for the cache ALL7 - log book is a little damp and ratty, but still fine
Out for a Sunday morning drive with my wife and son. We stopped at the near by playground and while junior played I went for a short walk to finish off this series. Along the way the path had been undermined and fallen down (and fenced off). At GZ the cache was located quickly between the few pedestrians using the path. I saw a nice bird and chased it (or tried to get close to take a photo) before going back for a seesaw.
Thanks for the cache and the nice walking series!
Thanks for the cache and the nice walking series!
Thanks for this series! Great little walk along the water
Didn't get/attempt them all but managed to claim the majority! Was a beautiful day nonetheless and a great excuse to return.
I used to work at the club nearby so it was quite nostalgic to return to the area.
Cheers

We took to the trusty treadlies for this great little waterside ride, starting at #4 and riding through to #10, logging our finds on the way then making a u-turn for a quick home run to avoid having our truck locked in the car park.
Our thanks to ALL7 for bringing us here.

The air was a bit nicer here, but it was super windy and started to rain. The hole in the tree made noises and I did not know where else to look.
Night caching with TOMBI . after successfully finding others on this powertrail we were feeling pretty confident. Then it started raining horizontally as the wind was pretty strong coming off Lake Munmorah. I fortunately wore my rain coat not so lucky for TOMBI who had left his in the car. As with Gonenuttz we searched high and low and also the tree hole. However the tree hole made a weird hissing sound every time we shone our lights in it, must be home to some creature. We were definitely not game to stick our hand in it. So we gave up for the night and walked back to the car where it proceeded to stop raining but by that time we had already decided to go home.
No luck for us unfortunately. Searched all the obvious cache places and not so obvious, all expect a hole in the tree that didn't seam to stop but geohubby and I weren't game to put a hand in there.
Gave it a break while we went and finished the series before heading back and looking again. Still no luck. Geohubby did spot a broken cable tie but no luck with cache.
Kids were getting restless so decided to be defeated maybe next time we will have more luck.

We have had trouble in understanding why we couldn't find this cache. We searched high and low and even looked back at other logs and the hint, but we were the unlucky ones who went home without completing the series. We will come back!!! TFTC ALL7.

Not many places that a cache could be, so a short search only was needed before the cache was uncovered. TNLNSL TFTC
We joined up with teamtonka and djant today for some caching down south.
We were lucky to have such a nice day for some caching, a Nice quick find TFTC.

Found by Mary & David at 0830. The water was like a mirror. Mary was delighted to see her favourite bird - the pelican. Another short successful search. Our thanks to ALL7.
A beautiful day to be out caching and we loved the location where this cache was hidden. Out with DiMorgan again today. A big thanks to ALL7
Our last day in Newcastle & once again we spent the day caching with Liz and Bruce.
We headed south today past beautiful beaches & wonder scenery.
Its quiet smelly at the moment, must be all the weed by the lake.
Thanks All7

Came walking along here with my lovely wife This was the first one in the series that we found, which was good as it gave us an idea on what the other caches may look like. I'm glad we found one as the waterside is quite smelly here (sulphurous smell). TFTC ALL7!
TFTC found with madivad - he spotted this one as I clumsily looked over it. Nice little hide. Cheers
I too didn't get the clue reference, but it's quite fitting if you stand way back and look.
This is a really nice walkway along the lakes edge. However, today the smell of rotting seaweed was overpowering, bringing back un-fond memories of migraine headaches from similar smells in my younger years. Totally Ghastly

#5 on the 5th. Low tide. A crew workers about today. Stealth mode and I did it. Tftc.
Don't know about 'weird' but I'm surprised some curious chid hasn't chanced upon this one. Too easy! TFTC.

I was up at Gwandalan to pick something up and, needing a cache find for the calendar, I decided to grab one or two of this series. I went to my caching bag and found I had left my GPSr at home, in Sydney. I went to the backup system in the form of my C:GEO phone app. I arrived at GZ and the cache container was easily discovered. Thanks ALL7 for helping me complete my calendar today.

We drove around to here as there was not really any parking near #8 to leave the car and complete the series. This time Mrs Shifter did not allow Mr Shifter to stay in the car, he had to get out and complete the entire walk.
This one was located very quickly, extracted, signed and returned before walking muggles passed us.
Thanks ALL7.

Left the other two at the exercise thingy and branched out on my own to find this and the next two.

Thought I might have a go at this new series of caches. Why start with No.1 when you can with No.5. A pleasent walk along the shore of the lake to GZ, a short search & the cache was in hand. With the log signed & cache restored to it hiding place, I was off to the next one. Just keep a lookout for muggles walking on the nearby pathway. LS TFTC

We were in town for a wedding, and with a bit of time up our sleeves we grabbed a few caches while out and about.
A nice series on a nice bike track we use to ride on when we lived in this neck of the woods.
Thanks ALL7 for the caches in the area.

This end of the track is quite good, the smell of the lake is also not as bad here. Not far from GZ a small boy and his dog were having great fun splashing about, but it looked very cold. The cache was soon in my hand and was not well covered, thanks for a good hide.
Another morning run of a series of caches and this is a great little series along the lake, all caches were located quickly, the only real issue we found that the stench in the lake is very ordinary in places but that being said we enjoyed the lot thanks all7 for your work.
Found straight away as cache was very exposed. Put back with a bit of cover. Thanks
Great cache well done girls, Will have to be the last for the morning, Soaked to the bone and the thunder and lightning is getting closer and the Kamakiazi rabbits trying to commit Hari Kari by throwing themselves under the wheels of my Mountain bike is all too much, I'll be back to finish another day, TFTC
Saw this series published this morning and being late starters we weren't expecting any FTF. Went for the weirder of the two but then followed the GPSrs back to where it was found, the lesser of the weird ones. That was fun. Thanks ALL7.
