Easy find coz it was all out on the ground. Put log back and back where we think the original place wudv been
I wasn’t sure if we would find this one as Miss P(2) and Mr H(5) were getting scratchy but as we reached the coordinates I just went straight to the likely spot and there it was in a ziplock and Eclipse tin. The second find of the day with Grammy and dog, Sam.
By the time we'd picked up the "golf rocks" cache near by, and headed back past our car in this direction, there were a number of other cars parked up. I suspect there was a golfing thing happening soon, so we made a bee-line for GZ as we didn't want to get clonked on the head by a golf ball.
No problems making the find thanks Frewilys.
We left a pet rock - a frog

I wasn't sure how to access this one but hopped the fence and walked across golf course. Obviously the correct way. Thanks for the cache Freewilys
Found it good co ords made for a nice fast find...all quiet here today golfers must be in the 19th hole lol thanks freewilies for a great placement
out for the day after dropping school group in Whakatane and before picking up again later. No one around
This is my second full day in Kawerau and I thought I would do a smaller walk than yesterday's.
I had to wait for a quartet of muggles to move on before locationg this cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Labour Weekend and a lovely sunny day for a great river walk. Not many people on the golf course either, even better. Easy find, cache in good condition, though a bit sparce. Added a pencil and hand wipe. TFTC
Mr S decided he could hop the fence. Mrs S said no way, her legs aren't long enough for that so he went off on his own to make the find. The muggles in the nearby house talked to him over the fence and said "hehe you taking photos of our golf course' and "its a nice day eh". They had no idea what he was really up to. lol.
Thanks Frewilys. One more smilie in Kawerau.

Out for a walk on Good Friday with MaizoJ and Jeffcrazy's who had been here before. TFTC
On a day trip to Kawerau to visit friends and do some caching; another find on a very hot afternoon. Quick find when we 'got' the title, with Jess88 supervising. TFTC Frewilys! No one around on the golf course today.
Spent countless days on this golf course decades ago, thanks for the memories

After what had been a full week and the disappointment of not heading to White Island on Saturday and then it being once again cancelled late last night Alpenmilch80 and I decieded to head over this way and see what we could find before possibly making it back to the event in Rotorua later in the day.
After the disappointment of not going away this could not have been a nicer day to spend caching with a very good friend. This was our first cache of the day here in Kawerau and as previously had had trouble with muggled caches so was unsure how our luck would hold out but were just happy to grab what we could.
After the park and grabs we were looking forwar to collecting these caches and the short walk that this involved. Soon had the cache in hand retruned to its spot and we were on our way once again. Today we signed most of the caches as "ACDC".
Thanks for the cache and the fun contained therein

Plans were made to head to White Island this weekend with Cats&Dragons but weather forecasted some gale warnings and the operator cancelled on us twice. Being already down in Hamilton we decided for Sunday to make a full day out to collect 50 smiles. And that’s what we indeed did. .
Beside the weather warning it turned out to be a great day with a lot of laughter and awesome company. Signed the logs as "ACDC" \m/. Quickly found with no muggles around. TFTC

There was a party of young golfers on the green not far from No 2 Tee but they were having too much fun to take any notice of us as we "sat and waited" for them. We "just happened" to sit at GZ and completed the paperwork before crossing the golf course back to our car. Thanks for showing us around this area.
I had the day off today and just thought I'd wander this way and see how many caches I can collect.
This was my sixth find today and fortunately I was wearing my golf clothes today because this cache felt a little weird getting to. I got a couple of looks on the way but I love golf and managed to fit right in and I was also fairly confident Kawerau's Golf Club didn't have a course marshal driving around on the Wednesday afternoons!
The cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a great name.
Cheers Frewilys

Came down a little further to check out this golf course. Walk across the course to get greeted by a cow at GZ. Found the log book soggy and wet. Still managed to just sign it though. The cache container will probably need some maintenance. TFTC.
4.05pm - No golfers here today, quick find with hint and log sheet needs replacing as it is very wet. SLTFTC

Had to wait for the golfer muggles to get out of sight before going for this one, no worries with the find, thanks!!

Having recently returned from sunny, Southern California; I've been keen to get out and clean up some newer cache placements. It's so awesome to have daylight saving again, but I've been too exhausted to enjoy it... Our next door neighbours are celebrating a birthday... loudly. Mum and I decided to go for a drive and leave Dad to it. Hopefully they will be done and dusted before we get home.
Was feeling a little self-conscious on this one. Saw the sign regarding visiting... but chose to ignore. Quickly picked up the cache and then got out of there. Thankfully, no one was playing at this end of the day. TFTC.

Popped into Kawerau to get two new caches since I was here last. Followed directions - the course was very quiet this late in the afternoon, no one about so no trouble with muggles today. TFTC
Headed around to do the new caches after Murray finished work as no logs in yet. Well, it had been a busy spot. Nice quick find with the ood clue. Sorry we didn't read well and legged it over fence and walked across....but all the olfers had gone home by then (5pm). We didn't realise this part of the course existed...not very observant. Thanks for the cache here.
Yay FTF at 12:25pm I finished work early today and when I got home I saw a couple of new hides and thought I would go for a drive to see if I could beat the locals.
Thanks Frewilys .
Thanks Frewilys .
Thanks F'w's for a pleasant walk in the sun after a busy morning indoors -- and we found it in style as instructed !! The muggles were busy down the other end of the Hole.
And a warm welcome to Kawerau to the Davidson Clan --- we only missed you by about 1/2 hour -- would have been fun to meet you. Maybe next time
