Located with Ricardinho Cool sculpture at this location RNZ was finding this a bit tricky to locate, I provided my 2 cents worth & we nabbed it. Day 3 of our Goldenbay Getaway & today we are off to explore the Aorere Goldfields, hike to Druggans Dam & the Cathedral Cave & finish up in Collingwood. We did have Wharariki on the agenda for today but we just ran out of time. Another fabulous day in paradise TFTC
On our way back to Nelson we stopped here and there to walk and cache, long time sitting in the car is nothing for me, so great to see so many caches out here Found wellTftc
(# 8128) Day 1 of a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. A day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. Signed the log with NMTY.
Thanks bumandworker for bringing me here.

Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day one of this trip took us all the way out to Cape Farewell and then back to Tākaka. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
I am never a fan of caches placed near letterboxes, but fortunatly this one is at least not on the letterbox construction itself.
Most of our find here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.
---
Thanks to bumandworker for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Back in June, four Wellingtonians (NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ and YetiNZ) came down to visit the Nelson region. We had such a blast that we decided to do it again, and here we are!
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.
Day 1, and we were driving from Nelson up to the most northerly cache on the Mainland, before then making our way back to Takaka for the night.
We were now heading south, and stopping along the way at many interesting caches. I already had quite a few of them thanks to a campervan roadtrip I did back in 2020 but this was one I hadn't stopped at on that trip, so it was good to get it this time around.
Thank you for setting this one up.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mussel Inn then stopped for this cache on our way to our next stop. An interesting sculpture. Thanks for bringing us here bumandworker

Today's plan is to finish off the Milnthorpe Park caches and try to locate a few towards Takaka.
very interesting.
Cheers for the cache.
very interesting.
Cheers for the cache.
On my way back to Nelson after a quick sortie to the lovely Golden Bay.
I stopped for this cache particularly because it has an unusual size & will bump me up a category in project-GC for odd-sized caches - crazy the things we chase when caching!
Thanks for this one, b&w.

A nice quick find thanks. An interesting piece of artwork.
Found as we explored more of Golden Bay. A great day for it, fairly quiet on the roads and on the walks.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After kiwitien looked like she was thieving from the letterboxes, the name put us in the right direction... TFTC
Went to Fossil Point this morning and heading home for a swim and stopped by for a quick cache.
Thanks for the cache bumandworker.

A family trip over the hill to Wharariki beach and a chance to grab a few caches on the trip. Homeward bound and time to step up the caching...looked in a few likely spots before finally locating the right one. TFTC
Thanks.always good to have a quick find. Busy road so didn't take the dog to help me this time.
After two frustrating DNFs, I was pleased to get another find here to keep my daily numbers ticked over.
I *thought* this would be the feature at the GZ and I was right.
A quick in and out and off to the next cache.
Thanks

I found this cache together with my partner Pityulino during our holiday in New Zealand. Today we visited some nearby beaches to swim and also to find a couple of caches on the way. This was one of them. We found the cache in good condition. TFTC!
Up from CHCH visiting family in Richmond...and now a couple days in Golden Bay for some exploring. Settled in at the nearby Golden Bay camp ground and whilst Mrs TG and the boys went for a well earned swim I ducked out to try and find a cache or two! Nice artwork!
Last of the trip - we had been going down all the side roads just to be nosey so grabbed this one as we came back up the road and before heading home from a lovely weekend away log signed - thanks for the cache
Final cache for us for the day before we head home. Stopped for this one after cruising down the side road haveing a peak at what's about TFTC
Interesting. I don't think I'd want one in my garden though. Then I saw another example down Wasbourn Road.

Quick find on the way past, just after stopping with the family at the Mussel Inn for some lunch. TFTC (3036)
We had just stopped here when a couple of chaps came in to view so we left this one until after we had been down to the reserve by which time they were down that end of the road too.
Thank you bumandworker.
Thank you bumandworker.
While we were trying to look innocent at GZ two locals wandered towards us smiling. We decided to head off for the next cache and return. If they knew about the cache we'll never know but it was where it should be. Thank you bumandworker
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 20 - on a cloudy and windy day we went to the Pupu Springs, a group of large and crystal clear springs, sacred to the Maori people before going to Farewell Spit.
At this narrow sand spit we had a pleasant walk over hills to the beach - miles of sand as far the eye can see!
We finished off with a coffee and a delicious muffin at the café.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
On the way back form Farewell-Spit we passed this place. Not so easy to find.
Greetings from Germany.

Just home after our Golden Bay camping trip from the Marlborough Sounds. It was not a caching expedition but we did manage one or two . We were travelling with our camping group who, although not cachers, joined in the fun. Our travels brought us to your cache – many thanks, bumandworker, for bringing us to this spot. We’ve had great fun all the way.
Found while Team Walker NZ were on a Summer tour across Tasman to Golden Bay - enjoy sun, sea and sights. Happy New Year and all the best for 2016.
Another 'sleep drive' for the little ones. Art work here not our cup of tea but thanks for the cache none the less.

Quick find on our way back from farewell spit. Interesting sculpture. Thanks for the cache.
NZDi and I have been planning a long weekend in Golden Bay for a month or so and today these plans came into fruition. Of course a long weekend out of town would not be complete without the odd cache thrown in and so a few caches were planned along the way. The weather back in Blenheim had been crap all week and the forecast for the weekend was not that flash either, however as soon as we got across the Whangamoa's we could see this part of the country was bathed in sunshine.
This is day two of our Golden Bay geocaching weekend, and todays efforts are concentrated on the caches around Wharariki, Cape Farewell and Farewell Spit. After getting Wharariki Walk we looked for other nearby caches that I had seen when planning this trip. It looks like I didn't set my radius far enough when creating my pocket query and the search missed four caches at Wharariki, Cape Farewell and Pillar Point (although I didn't know this until I got back into cell phone reception). We decided to head back to Puponga where we last had reception so we could save the missing caches on my mobile app.
After getting the four missing caches, it was time to head back to our accommodation at Tata Beach. On the trip back we picked up a few QEF PnGs, this was the sixth. We over-ran this cache slightly, so I had to walk back a bit to get it, but it was easily found where the hint indicated it would be.

Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our trip from Takaka to Collingwood. We had a lovely day!

Cool sculpture. Found several more from the same family down the nearby road. TFTC
Found on a day's exploration around the region, letting the geocaches lead me to all the interesting places. Stopped here in the morning on the way north but there was a Chorus crew working at the telecommunications box across the road so I didn't stop. Came again in the evening on my return to Takaka and this time a quick find with nobody about. Signed log, TFTC
A really striking sculpture and a nice easy drive by find.

A friendly passer-by spotted our interest and told us where the sister sculpture was. We ended up finding one cache and 2 sculptures... but didn't leave sister cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Meet the artist while placing this cache. Amazing Onekaka stone head lady caved by hand. Thanks
Parked across the road, wandered over to GZ and grabbed. Interesting features here. TFTC, Biggles.
