The sun was going down as we arrived at this castle, which made for some very nice and dramatic photos. It was also very cold with rain showers passing over, so now and then we had to take shelter in the ruins. An impressive castle, and right in the middle of the town park, which is wonderful. After exploring the castle, we went in search of the cache. The cache was not easy to find as there was no 'obvious' spot and a lot of wet leaf litter, and we had to keep watch for dog-walking muggles... but eventually it was located. The outer bag was quite soggy but thankfully the logbook inside was dry. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC! Found this lovely cache after drive around the beautiful Lough Ree- had only limited hours of daylight in this part of counrty so picked just few caches to do and this was one of them! Impressive castle remains and it's great to see lovely park developed around it. Took us a while to locate the cache- it was getting dark already so ...

Took the scratch card...didn't win d'oh! Left a totem charm and a bracelet. Nice to meet Fireeater999 on our travels! TFTC!

Can't believe I was 2TF (second to find) this cache and a nice one at that. This cache was just off our route back to Dublin, convinced my muggle husband to stop. What a great stop it was. Loved the park and castle. It was fun exploring. Left a TB. Greetings from California, USA. TFTC
FIF #52. Delighted to find this hadn't been found before we arrived. Would have been a quick find but for two muggles and a dog who were the only ones in this nice park for miles around but unfortunately had parked on the deck nearby and weren't moving. Had to sneak it back and continue on our way to a wedding in Mayo. Nicely prepared cache, we took a TB and left a TB. TFTC
