Logs
As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
We wandered down here at night, one of the last caches we found before heading home again. Caching by torchlight often has advantages, containers will often shine in the light and this one was no exception. The log is sodden though and pretty much impossible to sign. We did try to make a squiggle.
Thank you Juicy Fruits.
Thank you Juicy Fruits.
On our way home after a long day caching. After we worked out how to make the approach the torch made short thrift of finding the cache. With the cache full of water we tried to make a mark on the log. Thank you Juicy Fruits
Full of water and just sitting out in the open. The area is fairly dry since the deluge last week. Needs a little TLC.
Another one that I had some trouble locating, my cache senses weren't very sharp this morning. TFTC
After a very good family Kajak tour and before going to totaranui not easy but got it.
Thanks
Thanks

Took the Afternoon to bike to rawhiti cave and rock labyrinth while loging the cache on the way from Takaka!

It took us quite a while to find this cache, despite the coordinates being pretty accurate, and the hint didn't really help us. TFTC
NZDi and I have been planning a long weekend in Golden Bay for a month or so and today these plans came into fruition. Of course a long weekend out of town would not be complete without the odd cache thrown in and so a few caches were planned along the way. The weather back in Blenheim had been crap all week and the forecast for the weekend was not that flash either, however as soon as we got across the Whangamoa's we could see this part of the country was bathed in sunshine.
Today is the final day of our long weekend and the caches we get are essentially going to be Park n Grabs on the road trip home. This has been my best geocaching weekend ever and Golden Bay has some awesome caches to find. We have only scratched the surface and are looking forward to coming back in the not to distant future.
The highligh of the trip would have to be the Rawhiti Caves Earthcache, but there are too many other awesome caches as well. Thanks to all the CO's (especially the prolific bumandworker) for all your caches.
I noticed this cache come up as we were heading back to Takaka so i got NZDi to pull over and we went for a short walk. NZDi saw the cache straight away from some distance away, so after the paperwork was completed, we made sure it was hidden a little bit better.

#1272 A little confusing in the semi dark - but spotted the hint object. No TB to leave or take. TFTC
We had one day left before starting the Abel Tasman walk, so we were looking for some caches.
A long trip later from Frankfurt via Dubai, Bangkok and Sydney to Christchurch we finally started our three and a half weeks vacation. We tried to see as much as possible from New Zealands nature and also look for some caches. During the whole trip we could even find more than 100 caches .
We finalized the round trip on our very first day by booking some great walk huts and decided to travel clockwise around the Southern Island. It's hard to say which were the highlights, so I would say the whole vacation is our highlight .
Many thanks to all cache owners for showing us a lot of great places! T4TC!

My GPS wasn't helping me much at GZ, so a couple of trips around in circles - and it was only after making the find that the hint made sense, that seems to happen a lot for me... hmmm TFTC (1371)
#8472. Lucky the roads were quiet as there was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing before we settled on parking spot. Enjoyed the area around GZ. TFTC.
Day #2 of our Labour weekend trip to Golden Bay, our first visit for many years. We had another great day exploring the area, letting geocaches be our tour guide. Many thanks to all the COs for their hides and for taking us to some fabulous spots.
Didn't take long to track down the cache - and a good sized one too. All quiet here on a Sunday afternoon. TFTC.

Goal accomplished. Found trackable while on the Coast Radio station prize win holiday of campervan from Christchurch to Auckland
We went round and about - looking for a suitable place to park. That took us longer than the cache find. Then Mrs Sobad had a return visit to the car - as this cache was the right size for a trackable. Which she would have known if she had read the listing first!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Cache a bit watery after the rain. Tipped it out. Took a 'keep NZ beautiful' wristband, left nothing. The trackable was gone already! Bother
Since we arrived in Takaka 4 days ago we only had liquid sunshine. But of that we had heaps. So today we decided to go for a nice caching tour. That's how we came along here. Tftc
Never knew that track was there. Took TB left TB TFTC

Greetings from Belgium.
Left a TB behind in the beautiful Golden Bay.

Due to the late arrival this cache had to be a night cache, but this did not help a lot. In the end happy.

Called by here a few weeks again the rain and couldn't see anything so gave up. Today no problems, we found it quickly. Also collected a bag of the lovely plums growing wild nearby. Goo a make something when we get home. Thanks for the cache and the fruit harvest.
I seem to remember finding another cache here a little while ago.
I got to GZ and to use the catch phrase of another Wellington cacher agcnz "the cache was an instant find in the first place I looked".

Had to start hunting Juicyfruit caches since he/she helped me out. Bingo! TFTC
I must be going blind. I searched around and about and up and down. In fact I went over the second up and down with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately the cache was back where I started and once I went there again I spotted the embarrassingly big cache that I had missed the first time.
Thanks Juicy Fruits for the cache.

Last found it for today and a good Cache to drop down a coin get starting his Mission. TFTC.
Enjoyed the smell of freshly cut grass and jasmine while dropping off some more TB/GC's this morning
Leaving the Bay this evening. Time for a couple more caches on the way out. We disturbed several Pukes and two Wekas who were probably settling down for the night when we turned up. Great to see another cache here. This wee walkway deserves one.
