Visiting Tasmania for a few days for a conference and to catch up with family, and of course to get a good dose of a caching fix, too.
I may not be that good at finding nanos in the bush, but fifth dnf in a row?? I think something fishy is going on here... It may just be me, but karma may catch up with anyone not playing fair... Enjoyed the walk and the views, but not the frustrating geocaching experience, so decided to turn around at this point. Hope to revisit another time!!

Found this one easily as well. Might be far enough for the kids today. Better turn around and try the rest another day.

After dropping Kaisho53 off at the airport, Gunnie69 and I decided to knock off a few more caches, while we waited for our flight a few hours later. We decided to start at GC4NRGG The Only Way Is Up, and head along the Lauderdale to Seven Mile Beach Track, collecting what caches we could before we needed to head to the airport.
The track was almost deserted, and the weather was great, we actually saw the sun here for the first time. As a result we made good time along the track, and we made great progress, so instead of making just a few finds, we ended up doing the whole trail and a few more! Most were straight forward, though we did make a bigger task than was needed on a couple!
A very enjoyable walk, and well worth doing!
Found on Day 5 and the last day of our Hobart caching trip. Today we decided to clean up a couple of puzzle caches we solved around Howrah and Bellerive, before dropping Kaisho53 off at the airport for his flight, and then cleaning up a few traditionals as Gunnie69 and I awaited our flight.
Thanks JABs for the cache!

The cache name had Ghostgums and I concerned as we approached and we thought this one might take a little chasing... Of course we hadn't read the cache page and we were surprised to find the container we did at GZ...
Pleasantly surprised at the size and the speed of the find, we did what we needed to to and moved on. Thanks for not sticking to the cache name... [^]
Cheers JABs.

3.45pm number 9 for the day - found by the geoteen - yet another gorgeous view TNLNSL TFTC
Was looking for something a lot smaller than what we found, geoteen spotted the likely place and soon had cache in hand. Thanks for another one JABs
I was happy to be out and about finding a few caches with Dav81, omaster and aeriel tennille today. The weather was perfect for such an adventure! Thank the faeries this one was not a nano in the bush!!!! They always make me cry Once at GZ it took only a small hunt until the beast was in hand. We signed the log and then replaced the cache as we had found it.
Thanks for the cache JABS

Great series. Left badge. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown en route from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania.
Nice weather for walking. Started with rain and finished later on with bright sunshine. Tx
A beautiful day for a walk. The track has certainly been upgraded and makes for a pleasant walk between Lauderdale and Seven Mile Beach. As we had done half of the series, we returned today to complete the rest from the Seven Mile Beach end. Spot on coordinates, the good hint and also the Geo trails led us to GZ. TFTC.
I am so glad it wasn't what the name implied. That would have been mean! TFTC
After starting this series way back on 29 Sept 2013, today gave a us chance to complete it without the geokids.
Happy the cache and name did not concur. TFTC

This cache was an easy find, and who doesn't enjoy a nano in the bush! Beautiful location for a nature trail. TFTC.
A day caching with ainstar, scottymyth, immymoo and xman02. Weather overcast but the trail was excellent with great views and an invigorating walk.
Surprised at the size of this one.

A grey day, but the views were still good.

Thanks.
Samboychips and I had a great trot around the grassy knoll. Ran out of time so didn't quite finish.
We had found some caches in this area in the past but today was our first opportunity to walk the completed length of the trail from the Lauderdale Yacht Club to Seven Mile Beach. Despite the very strong winds, it was a very enjoyable walk with magnificent views along the way. We were impressed with the track upgrade work being undertaken. When finished, the track will be even better.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find with the cache and it's contents in good condition. We like nanos of this size. TFTC JABs.

Some track work was on the go near the cache, so we hope the rock sheltering the cache is not fancied by the track workers. TFTC JABs
With predictions of afternoon showers we decided to tackle the walking track between Lauderdale and Seven Mile Beach during the morning while things looked OK. But by the time we had gone about two thirds of the way it started to rain and after sheltering from two shower spells we thought it best to head back to the car and do the rest on another day.

Thank goodness this is nano in name only, that just wouldn't be right in this series !
Another easy find - thanks for the cache, JABs !

I have walked this path numerous times before, and stopped for picnics on the small beach part-way around. Never before have I stopped so often! I started at the Seven Mile Beach end, but seeing that gooseandegg had already visited and claimed FTF I decided to head around and try my luck from the Roches Beach End. Here both gooseandegg and cinmi16 had visited before me. I headed along to the end of Kirra Rd and down the hill to find that only cinmi16 was ahead. I made a brisk pace along the path and overtook her whilst she was either looking for a cache or logging a find. She didn't notice me pass, so I managed to log four FTFs ahead of her before she called upon seeing my log. We had a quick chat before she continued north and I headed south to log the rest of the caches. I couldn't find GC4NRJE "Seven Mile Beach Paddle ?", and hear that neither gooseandegg nor cinmi16 were able to find this one either.
Couldn't believe how "small" this nano was!
