8918 and 16th of 18 found today.[font=Verdana] [Green] I see I was the first of a long string of DNFers before the cache was replaced. Thankfully I wasn't the only one - that is just nasty when that happens.[/Green]

Found by Mary & David at 1525. Such a big name in Melbourne, but since travelling north he seems to have calmed down. The social columns and women's magazines have had a lean time since, though. Our thanks to Awesome Princess.
Trip from Bowral to Canberra for The Amity Affliction concert stop.
Thought I'd do some caches to get up to #500.
Nearly there

@ about 5:40.
Rain picked up out of nowhere!!!
I must look stupid tying my shoelaces.... when I'm wearing thongs

Dropping off Christmas wrapping and boxes on Boxing Day and doing a quick run of the area to try to get to 900 finds before the end of the year! TFTC
Stopped past on the way out to dinner and could see where the cache was however too many muggles driving by. Came back past after dinner and the area was a bit quieter. Quick sign and return and it was off home for the night.

Didn't even need the GPS, knew exactly where it was from 50 m away as I was approaching
Looks like the Hawks are near the top of the ladder this year. Is that because Buddy left them? But the Swans are at the top. Is that because Buddy joined them? Who knows?

Found on the way home. No muggles around. Thanks for the hunt and the cache.
A very late log sorry, we completely forgot this one. We were a little bored so took our geo-neighbour Caitlin for an 'adventure' to Mitchell. She had never heard of geocaching before so on the way home we thought this one would be easy for her introduction. Even though we were giving very obvious hints we still needed to almost put her hand on it before she realised what was going on. Hilarious Not sure we have a geo-convert unfortunately! TNLNSL TFTC
So after a big day in the lab, I decided to take advantage of the mild evening and swing by this one on the way home from work during a mini mission
This one was the last one for the evening so as it was dark and no muggles about it was a quick find, sign, stash and dash
Thanks for the hide, Awesome Princess

Found @ 1:36pm with Shadow! after footy on a windy afternoon
Spied this on approach so it was an easy grab - took longer to remove and replace the log which is quite a tight fit.
Thanks Awesome Princess

After yesterday's bitter wind and occasional showers, the wind has increased and got colder, but the rain has decreased to the occasional light shower. Today, I'm taking the dogs. I'm still going to do at least some parks and grabs.
No 3 of 14. Park, walk and grab. TFTC!!.

2 of 6 found on an impromptu afternoon of caching with the geokid...the geokid found this one, she made a beeline and knew exactly where to look! It was very amusing to see her try and act inconspicuously! TFTC!
I kind of knew where this cache was from about 100 meters away. The Banker & I signed the log and replaced. Thanks.
The cache container has been replaced in the original position. There is no construction affecting this location today. Go caching.
This needs to be checked by the CO to confirm if it's still active.
i had a solid look at Gz and no luck with this one.
There have been far more experienced cachers than me who have drawn a blank recently

unless there is some funky camo i haven't seen before, this must be gone.

With The Rats trying to find #10,000 before July, steeba and I were easy to convince to come on a trip to Canberra to have a big day of raiding numbers. Despite the temperature hitting 37°C we still managed to find a lot of caches. Although it sure was testing in that heat.
Another stop, another find.
Cheers

676. Not that many spots that it could be but was obviously in the one I didn't look closely enough at/in.

Found late at night with not another soul in sight. As with some other finders, it wasn't where I assume it should be, so I logged my visit and returned to the most logical hiding place

Not where I expected to find this so we searched grass underneath. Geobuddy detected it under their shoe. Returned to where expected to be (based on certain properties of the cache container). It may have been dislodged by strong winds overnight.
Found by the trodden and true method. It was in the grass and I stepped on it. The cache has been returned to the place it likely should be. TFTC.
Needing a cache for the day, we decided to collect this on our way home from work. TFTC
Found during the cold November Rain. So after all the Buddy caches, it lead up to this moment. As said before, not a Hawks fan but congrats to Buddy and his gang for taking the premiership. Though it's probably his last with the Hawks, maybe another few with Sydney now... Parked nearby and had a short walk over the crossings to GZ in the rain. The cache was on the ground when we found it, so we magnetised it when we left. TFTC AP!
2587. With a caching trip to Wagga Wagga looming, I decided to hone some skills while waiting for some fellow cachers. This was one on the list and a nice easy find.
I have no affinity for Buddy or the hawks, sorry, not.
TFTC.

Found it - magnet seems week - I just touched it and it fell off. Noticed that another post mentioned finding it on the ground. May need some fixing. Thanks Awesome Princess
Lots of earth moving going on around here, it will soon be covered in buildings. Attractive never the less. Thanks
Found it! It took a while, as it had fallen down, and was in the long grass! I have replaced it where I figured it should be. Thanks AP.
A nice easy find whilst out for a stroll with the geohounds, didn't have a pen so couldn't write in the log but will go back and do that afterdark as there were a few muggles around. Took the geocoin, but couldn't see the TB in the cache.
After watching the Grand final yesterday I was out and about today on the bike. Found this one on the ground. Put it back where I thought TFTC
7318 + 872 = 8190. Three quick finds on the way home from work this evening.
With next to no muggles around this was virtually a drive-by find - always happy about that !
Thanks Awesome Princess ! !

#943 - 19:15; A nice quick grab on the way home to keep the streak alive at 70. AP, you might need to change the description after the likely Swan dive!!! What is it with the Swans and their full forward fetish. Capper, Plugger, Tippett and now Buddy? Go figure $$$ TFTC and the post finals entertainment
[Quick find, ]not sure if it is meant to be on the ground[, but left it where I found it (probably more hidden there)
Thanks.]
Thanks.]
On the journey back home, I decided to swing past and grab this one.
Found the cache very quickly, however it wasnt exactly what I had in mind (glad it wasnt a super hard hide)
Signed the log and returned the cache.
Dropped a pirate TB within to continue its journey.
Thanks for the cache Awesome Princess

Fairly quiet this weekend so managed a quick drive by find here. TFTC Awesome Princess.
It was Friday afternoon, but there did not seem to be that much traffic, so after leaving the car in a car park up the road a bit I walked down to the cache. Plenty of grass at the moment to provide cover. Thanks.

Sitting at home after a long day and was just trying to work out which cache we would grab for the day. This cache conveniently appeared on the radar so we headed off and with a quick find at 20:10 on a blank logbook for a *FTF*. Thanks Awesome princess.
2013-09-24 0288 A bit slow to get out of the house for this one. Nice easy find in the second place I looked. Nice evening to be out and about. Tks Awesome Princess. I sense a certain affinity between yourself and a certain sporting team in Victoria.
