A bit of a damp day to be outdoors. However it was still enjoyable to be out of the office working through this cache. Answers sent to the CO.Thanks @SpatialRiq for establishing this Earth-cache for the GC community to enjoy !!
TaurusSix and I have had a lovely weekend in Perth seeing a couple of theatre shows and to complete the metro experience our aim today was to head to IKEA. Given it does not open until eleven we had a little bit of time to kill this morning so set about collecting Adventure Labs between the city and Innaloo where IKEA is situated. We loved Reabold Hill and Bold Park in general , what a great area. We had not been here before so it is good to know for future reference , we enjoyed the walk to the lookout , however not such good views today with the intermittent rain and overcast skies. As well as collecting Adventure Lab elements we collected the information for this Earth Cache . We will send answers to CO shortly. Thanks for the Earth Cache SpacialRiq .
Another great Earth Cache by SpatialRiq! Amazing spot and well worth the visit for the views!Headed up to Bold Park to grab some smilies and to add another LGA to our tally....managed to get 3 more LGAs in total today and loads of smilies! Great wander around Perry Lakes admiring all the massive Sheoaks! Thank you SpatialRiq for placing Bold Park for us and others to find and enjoy! Answers sent to CO.
We came here after visiting a friend my partner had not seen for 20 years. We thought some of the tracks might have been bike friendly but it was not the case. Even the scenic track which is a shared use you were not allowed to ride down the hill, which we thought was a bit strange. An interesting place missed the artworks until we looked for the ants. Great spot. The walking tracks would be good on a cooler day. Thanks for putting this earth cache together
Doing the AdLab here so why not. Answers will be sent tonight. Picture attached. Cheers

# 9021 iPlod65 and I are here in Perth over the Xmas New Year period. Far from the very average conditions being experienced back on the east coast. It's truly summer here. This isn't a geo-trip so only grabbing a few here and there as time and conditions permit.A very pleasant spot on a cooler day.Answers sent to CO.Thanks SpatialRiq for placing this Earthcache

#7445Day 9 in WA saw us heading to the beaches on this blue sky day even though it was quite breezy. We were lured to this park by the multi which fitted in nicely with our travel plans. But when I spotted this EC nearby I had to take a look. Another one that I felt comfortable answering so we collected the info and sent off to the CO. Two ECs in the one day is a record for me. TFTC SpatialRiq
Still on New Zealand time, so up here as the day was breaking. Managed the lovely walk between showers. Answers sent in, funny trivia, thanks SpatialRiq!
Limestone , to the limekilns at Perry house for lime production , highest natural point in Perth metro area , from 1843 to 1906
After staying with friends in Nanson for a few weeks the time had come to start heading home again but not without stopping and grabbing a few caches along the way.
As the weather was looking pretty good we decided to stay in the Perth area concentrating on Adventure Labs. earth caches and virtual's to avoid the abundance of school holiday muggles.
We were in the area doing an adventure lab wpt and of course we weren't going to let this one go by.
It took a little while to collect the answers at wpt1 as we misread one of the questions and it wasn't making a lot of sense. Once we sorted that out the rest was easy and we had another good look around before heading off to the next wpt which we went straight passed and ended up at the car park and had to go back again. Once at the co-ords the information was gained quickly.
Our answers have been sent off to the CO, if they aren't good enough we will happily delete our log.
Many thanks SpatialRiq for bringing us to this very interesting area.

A nice simple earthcache. Just how I like em.

Long overdue for a day out so SVKR_WA and I hatched a plan, and ChixkenHawk07 tagged along. We were mainly targeting labs that had come out since last up this way but also grabbed a few other caches on the way. This was one.
Many thanks to SpatialRiq for placing and maintaining Bold Park. I was here at 9:17 am on Monday and this is my find 9854.

Wandering around grabbing info for labs, multis and earthcaches. Haven’t been up here for ages. Really enjoyed the experience.

A plan was hatched for an assault on a number of the labs in and around Perth. Granett, Kyzabra, AlliedOz and I were all planned and set to go.
A couple of days ago, half the gang were knocked out by exposure to the dreaded Covid. This left Kyzabra and I standing.
Headed off early, picked up Kyzabra and Chickenhawk07 on the way and off we went. There was a list of labs and caches in mind and a fun day was had.
SpatialRiq SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Bold Park today at 09:18:43 18 Apr 2022. This brings my find count to 5241
SpatialRiq - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. I love travelling and visiting some places that I would only visit due to this game.

Took a day off uni today and headed out to find uncovered delights. As we wound our way through these local neighbourhoods I noted the nearby lookout so directed the muggle man driver to make haste. What a spot! Not sure how many times we've passed by here without realising what it was, but very glad to have now discovered it, and pleasingly this EC encouraged us to read all the signs which added to the appreciation value. Thanks much SpatialRiq!

I'm finally allowed to visit family in WA I already had a trip planned to SA to attend the Mega and when it was announced that state was allowed easy entry to WA, I quickly made the decision to extend my trip in SA to enable easy crossing of that border to WA
Bold Park is just up the road from where my daughter lives, so it was the obvious choice to visit for Earth Cache day. I took the puppy with me for a walk, not realising he would not be keen on the walk up to the lookout. I had to carry him all the way up and back but luckily, he is only a little dog and doesn't weigh much It was a nice, clear day and the views were amazing.
Thank you SpatialRiq for creating the earth cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Our family over the years were basically part of the furniture at the old Perry Lakes basketball stadium but never knew about this hill here and the history surrounding it. Funny the places geocaching has taken us. Lovely day and a lovely walk with Thro60clan and the geokids. Answers gathered quickly and then we admired the view. Thanks for the earthcache and Happy Earthcache Day 2021!
Another SpatialRiq Ec, we have nejoyed them, speedy reply to our answers too which is appreciated. TFTC
Just over 7 months since we left home and stated our lap, just over half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country… 25,000 ish km done, gosh we have seen a lot, but there is so much more to see.
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks, trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… or the time we have spent prospecting, enriching our lives but not finding anything of material value, it’s all about the journey not the possessions. What ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
The last few weeks have been a bit blah with some bad news from the east, apologies for the late and generic log, catch up time a lot harder than I thought, I really need to make a concerted effort (even in difficult times) to stay on top of logs answers and photos.
Thanks for being one of the caches we found in the past few weeks.

Had to travel to Claremont to receive my second dose of AstraZenneca vaccine today. Afterwards I meandered my way through the suburbs, ending the day in City Beach, grabbing caches along the way. Got very wet at times, with heavy showers constant throughout the day.
Stopped in at Bold Park to knock off the Earthcache, as well as my second ever Adventure Lab cache. Send the answers to the CO and have received the green light to log. Cheers SpatialRiq!

Thanks for this earth GC. The parking space isn't very big is it? We parked at the council offices and walked up. Nice sunny day.

Seeing it is Earthcache weekend and a souvenir was up for grabs we Jumped in the car and headed north for this Earthcache. Thank you for bringing us here we probably not of visited the area if not for this cache. Thanks. Email with answers have been sent.
Being international earth cache day I had to get an earth cache unfortunately there are not many left for me in the metro area.
This one had the bonus of being near a parkrun course. So we headed up here this morning and did our freedom run on the Perry Lakes course, had a bit of breakfast then headed up to to the carpark at the top of the hill. Unfortunately it was full. so we had to head back down to the lower car park and walk up but it was a nice walk with some of the wildflowers still out.
Found GZ and grabbed the required info. I think this is the first time we have been here.

Out and about adventuring with the family to grab some photos for school news this week and I took the opportunity to grab some caches for myself.
After completing the Adventure Lab on the way up to the top, I grabbed the GCA Trig Point before heading down and grabbing the required info for this cache on the descent.
Reabold Hill was my hill in my mind when I was younger and a trip home from Nan’s had to have a trip up here or the world would end.
Thanks for putting this cache together, teaching me some history that I hadn’t known previously and bringing me back to a favourite place of my youth.
Thanks SpatialRiq for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2447 for me.

The first cache of a Monday morning. Everyone was primed and ready to roll. As we hit the parking area we found we were too late. Every spot was full. The egg stayed with the car in the long vehicle spot in case she could move and come and meet us.
The kids and I would up the pathway vaguely remembering we had been here before. We enjoyed the information and artwork as we walked as well as the views if course.
Answers obtained and send, permission to log received.
As we arrived back down at the car park the egg had found a spot and was about to come up and meet us!

We had a day in Perth before heading towards the WA south coast. We focused our attention to earthcaches as always, our favourite type of geocaching for the learning process and beautiful places it takes us to.

I am currently visiting WA from SA and staying at a friend’s house in Shenton Park for a few days. Today I again headed out, up as far as Yanchep, to find some caches of interest to me.
This earthcache was on my target list today. I took the pleasant walk up the hill and was rewarded with an interesting bit of local history and a nice view.

Mrs Riddell arrived in Perth early in the morning, from Melbourne with intent to walk from Kalamunda to Pemberton on the Bibbulmun Track starting next week.
This was a nice spot to view Perth from and were suitably impressed with the views and especially with the flora and fauna abounding in this parkland.
TFTC which we really enjoyed.

Fantastic day for a walk around bold park. Snuck up here afterwards quickly to get this cache. Views were amazing on this beautiful morning!
Love this location! Here to obtain information for this and nearby multi. Additional Trig Point here too for those contemplating joining Geocaching Australia.
Decided to come here for a walk on New Years’ Day - my first time here but will definitely be back to explore some more. Lovely area with some great views, and dog-friendly too! Although he wasn’t keen on the metal grids leading up to this EC, lol, it took quite a bit of coaxing to get him across them! But we got there eventually and the required information was soon gathered. Answers sent to the CO and my thanks for a swift confirmation they were ok Sample pic attached, although I took loads, lol. Made a quick find here today on a 37+ degree Perth day after having an enjoyable morning at the beach. We have been looking to find this cache for awhile. There was some beautiful flora and fauna on show today. One of the geosons enjoyed taking some photos. Thanks to SpatialRiq for taking us to Bold Park on this warm Perth day. Thanks for all the work you put into creating this Earth Cache.
The kids & I visited Bold Park on an adventure finding a few less loved cache types . Sadly the area was inhabited by a few undesirables, but we were able to get enough info to log our find here
Thanks SpatialRiq [^] We hope to return another day & check out the great view!

We made the short hike up Reabold Hill today. The views were wonderful! I also appreciated the signs with information about local history and the local flora and fauna. I added a picture of the CBD with a fire in the background. Thanks for the effort to maintain this earthcache.
We had a lovely drive out NOR today & a particularly nice walk up here to enjoy the panoramic views. Thanks for bringing us up here SpatialRig answers sent. TFTC
What a fitting cache to submit for EarthCache Day. Although we were both music students at a nearby High School (and were in fact childhood sweethearts) in the dark ages we haven't spent much time at Bold Park. It was great to learn about the history and the views were stunning. Thanks for bringing us here.

Visited this Earthcache today while enjoying the views and walks around Bold Park. It was a beautiful day. Had a little trouble locating the rusty ants but found them eventually! Thanks for an interesting Eartcache.
Great day to be out and about although it seems everyone else thought so too. No-one in our family has been here before (been meaning to for years). Thank you for the inspiration!
Out with the geo daughter TH/CS for a caching day.
Edit: Very abrupt earlier log. Emailed the answers to the CO (I understand we got 1 wrong) but he has graciously allowed us to keep the find. The weather was closing in as we arrived but we still managed a half decent view at the top. TFTC

An unexpected but welcome surprise late this afternoon when my muggle Mum and I came up to check out the lookout views at the end of a 100+km road trip around Perth. Somehow I'd missed seeing this one and so came without notes for it. Luckily it was an easy one to do in the field using only the cache description on the GPS.
After gathering the required information we headed back down and then out west to the other lookout that I'd noticed on the GPS map. Brilliant views of the ocean and Rottnest Island from there (which I wasn't sure was visible from the mainland until that point!)

Today we visited Reabold Hill. Unfortunately there was very heavy rain but that did give us the opportunity to check our phone and learn that this earthcache was here. When the rain abated, we went looking for the trig point at the lookout and along the way collected information of this earthcache. The hill certainly has interesting history and the quarrying of the limestone has made a significant contribution to the development of Perth. The answers to the questions have been forwarded to the CO. When we were at the top the heavy rain returned. We would like to return at some time in the future to appreciate the views from the lookout. Thanks SpatialRiq for the cache.
Was passing by the area so dropped by here to walk to the top of the boardwalk. Been here before heaps of times but in days before I was into geocaching. Gorgeous day. Thanks for the cache SpatialRiq. Answers on the way.
