Can I say did not attempt! - With lots of recent DNF I looked for from ground level but did not climb.
I was hoping to get a smilie on this one since it's the only one now in the area without one. I've put looking for it off until I could try in daylight. So now at 4:30pm no cache to be seen anywhere in the tree or nearby on ground. Lots of plastic bags though and other rubbish. Definitely needs maintenance or archival.
Water, weevils but no log in cache, counting it though Guess I misread fixing as fixed.
Found a small snap lock bag at site with paper and ink in to, could have been the cache, too damaged to tell
Climb was within my declining limitations these days. Log not signed due problems raised in previous logs. TFTC Crazy Chicken Man!
Weevil infestation indeed. Geo kids freaked, as the log was nothing more than a weevil nest. Personally, I found the weevil babies and eggs adorable. Def needs maintenance. Great idea though, kids enjoyed the climb, but refused the return journey.
#498. 114 days in a row.
I'm counting this as a find, although I didn't sign the log sheet since it was absolutely soaked. Cache container was also full of weevils (or similar) so should probably be replaced.

Found @ 2:29pm
Thanks for the nice little climb Crazy Chicken Man!, the cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced.

2nd tree club cache of the afternoon. No chickens here! But cache was full of water. Replaced cache upside down as the lid has a slot on it - perfect for letting in rain water! Found with HH3k and geo daughter! TFTC
Decided to attempt this today and noticed the previous logs against it saying that the log was saturated so we took a fresh piece of paper with us to replace the log. Quick find and log replaced.

Keeping the streak alive I decided to knock this one down. Found the tree no worries, looked around for muggles before climbing up, spotted one up near where I came in, figured I would have enough time to get up there and come down with the cache - which I successfully did, looked back to where the muggle was and no sign of them...mmm oh well back up the tree I go.
The log is pretty much ruined/soaked so although I did sign the log, it's pretty much nonexistent.

Found on a nice morning around Belconnen. Tree climbs aren't my forte, however this was perfect for us - thank you! Parked nearby and after a lovely walk to GZ, it only took a minute or two to find the cache. A simple climb up the tree, luckily the branches were there. I managed to spot the cache at a suitable height. A great cache to do. TFTC CCM!
The dog was clean and I had some time for a change so I was looking for a nice easy walk in the suburbs so a lap of Scullin fitted the bill. Elvis didn't think much about climbing the tree so instead he just waited at the base dutifully wagging his tail whilst this Bat made the climb. Bats, it turns out, CAN climb trees, even if chickens and dogs cannot.
Was sure we had got this one before but no smiley. Quick find after a school pick up. Tftc
7654 + 961 = 8615. Found during a quick run around in the area.
Not being a real fan of 'tree' caches I was hoping that this one was as easy as it said. I am happy to report that it is an easy climb even for me. The funny part was sitting up there signing the log when a muggle walking two dogs walked past and stopped virtually under THAT tree. Luckily none of them looked up ! They moved on and very quickly after that so did I.
Thanks Crazy Chicken Man !!
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

Found this a while back while walking the dog but didn't have a pen handy to sign the log. Finally got a chance to make it back today. TFTC
517 Found with Plofessor. I'm in need of some practice, so I made the climb. Not too challenging but I still bumped my head at one point. Tks again Crazy Chicken Man!
One of several caches found today. A quick scramble and the cache was in hand. TFTC.
#1340 - 15:30; The second Crazy Chicken Man! cache of the afternoon. Unfortunately, this time I had to do the climbing rather than having it made easy for me. Made my way to GZ and identified a target and after a short climb, soon had cache in hand. It was an interesting roost from which to sign the log and return the cache to its hide. TFTC Crazy Chicken Man!
Beware some branches may snap easily. I discovered that the hard way
I went to go check on it and a large branch snapped so it may be harder to get too
Please be careful!

This cache has I think been muggled. I found the log on the ground in the open. I signed the log and looked for the container (high and low) but could see none. I stuck the log in a crack in the tree. Visible, but not so clearly as it was on the ground.
Found it muggled as stated below. Replaced container with a black tubular one which is much harder to find and slightly higher in tree. Also updated description. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A cool cache in an awesome area. Had fun climbing around GZ even though it may hve been to windy TFTC
2707. After one dog walking muggle went that way and another went the other way, it was a quick climb, sign and then back on terra firma. Thanks Ccm for an easy climb and the cache.
No, they can't.......but I'm getting better at it, so the cache was soon in hand. Didn't drop anything on this climb either.......which helped.
Thanks for the cache.....
Thanks for the cache.....
I found this on 16/10 ...
A few days earlier I had been looking something up (or just getting lost on the website - lol) and I noticed that this cache had appeared in a place I often ride my bike past, so I added it to my "list" (put the coordinates in the compass/GPS app on my phone
A few days later, I rode my bike to work (actually it was ride to work day, but I think I would have ridden my bike to work that day anyway - lol) ... and I decided to come home the quick way (I used to ride to and from work that way, until I discovered another way that seemed like an easier ride, and had the added bonus of taking me along part of the lake shore ... But the problem with riding home that way is that I can get distracted for hours, riding the long way around the lake and/or taking photos of clouds/Sunset/birds/etc
Anyway ... I was whizzing along the path when I remembered that this cache was nearby ... did a short back track (I had only gone about 100m past it when I thought of it - lol) and had some fun climbing the tree. I knew it was the right one before I climbed - the cache was visible from the ground (but probably not really noticeable - Muggles don't seem to walk under trees and look up
TFTC - climbing trees is fun (not sure what any Muggles might have thought about a 50 year old woman climbing up the tree though - so I kind of dashed up and down in between the passing dog walkers - lol)
Couldn't decide which thingy to swap (there are only a few types of things I will collect, but this cache had 3 such things! ... so I took a dinosaur and a bear and the marble and left Lucy and ... Er ... can't remember if it was Charlie Brown or Linus, and a plastic "diamond ring" ... would have put more stuff in but it didn't fit! (If there are no Muggles next time I ride past I might just have to go for another climb and see if there is room to add something else - I have managed to gather up a good collection of odd things to put in caches

No, but I can, although some muggle women gave me the hairy eyeball, I guess men in their 60s are not supposed to climb trees.
7325. [green]Well I have been known to climb a tree or three in my time so the statement is not 100% correct I guess. Little trouble spotting this cache and less retrieving it. [/green]

Found with Akito10 & Commando04. C04 did his duty by climbing the tree.
Really liked this one it is not so high that it is scary but high enough that it is fun.

Ok, so we are close to our 500th cache and also trying to "clean up" the West Belconnen ones close to home on the map. L had put this one off as it involved climbing. But R's friend Geckohugger was visiting and offered to assist. So L drove, spotted and sent the geoteens up the tree. They are so much more agile. Log signed by both of us. TFTC.
After reading recent logs I went to check on it and also found it on the ground, put it back in original position where it shouldn't fall out to easily. Might replace container later. Sorry for the inconvinience
Unfortunately didn't get to test my tree climbing skills as Red_V note below. TFTC anyway.
I can climb though! Found with my sister and dad.

Looks like the wind dislodged the cache from its hiding spot as it was found on the ground. We signed the log and placed it back up in the tree, hopefully in the correct spot. TFTC.
My brother did the tree climbing for this one but easily spotted from the ground.
After climbing the wrong tree I had a closer look at the live logs. Thanks to the SCs there were some new numbers so off I go. Much clearer here and the cache was soon in hand and signed. Thanks.

I rode the bike to gz and thought ok where is it? I had to use the previous log to get to the right tree. Once there I couldnt see the cache so just went up and then spotted it. A nice easy climb. Kangaroos cant climb trees either. Well this one doesnt TFTC
It was easy to find and a good spot. I hope that it isn't found by muggles seeing as the tree is popular to climb. A great hiding spot.

*FTF*@22:44 after a bit of a search coordinates were approx 45 meters out. Added coords to our log ...will add more later....
We were just sitting at home when this one popped and we decided it was worth a visit and we always love a good tree climb, though Mr Stormcatcher would have to sit this one out due to recent knee malfunction . We made the short walk\hobble to GZ in the dark and there were trees just not the right tree ...still we hunted around and hopefully we just sounded like a couple of crazy possums. After a good search we "branched" out and went for a walk to scout out other potential trees and with a bit of luck Miss Stormcatcher spotted a likely candidate and sure enough there was the cache ! . A blank log greeted Miss Stormcatcher up the tree . Thanks Crazy chicken man for the llittle night adventure and of course the cache.
