Merging my accounts. Found this as "Ambers007" on 11/10/2022. Now tracking together with "Hoterini" and merging the old finds.
TARV2014 had planned a weekend away to Cape Foulwind to enjoy the stunning scenery, and bag a few caches as weather allowed. Most caches were found reasonably quickly, and all were well maintained. Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches, and the beautiful spots that they took us to during our time in the area.
Day2 of our jolly to the West Coast and this was very close to where we were staying so a wee stroll prior to checking out. A quick find and all in good order. Found with SJT_NZ.
A nice short walk down to here this morning before heading off. Great place for a cache, awesome views, cheers
Would never have come to this spot if it wasnt for this cache, so thank you!!
On a Week road trip to Nelson,Buller and Greymouth. lots of driving and walking, plus biking, lots of great caches many thank to all the CO"s - Bitsprayer
Found with Piwaka54. Initially had wrong rock; wrong post and wrong agapanthus Awesome beach!

Last find for the day. Found with Cympull. An amazing loopwalk from Llighthouse to Tauranga Bay then back along Kawatiri Trail. TFCs
Due to the the COVID-19 pandemic it has been four years since we last made the long trip from California to New Zealand to visit our kiwi kin. In addition to enjoying our time together we are enjoying finding some geocaches, too.
While on the way to the lighthouse with Luckysteaks we made a stop to refill our depleted water bottles with portable water. While searching we encountered this cache and Luckysteaks made the quick find.

Walked down to grab this one after doing the walkway to the seal colony. A nice quick find. TFTC
It wouldn’t seem right not retrieving this cache, given that we have been camped100 meters away for three days. Great coordinates and great views of the beach from the cliff top. Sadly the track to the beach has become unstable and signage erected to say NO ENTRY. Not that this seems to deter some people. Tempted myself for the photo opportunities. The sun is now shining, and we move along to Denniston for a look. TFTC
Found during a great camping weekend at a friend's place, they just bought a piece of land here, beautiful!
Such a great weekend. We went down from here to the beach, did some rock hopping, even had a swim and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
This cache was less than 100m from their place, stunning!

Today my plan is to cache around the Westport area. Weather not that great but I've got my raincoat so it OK - not too cold anyway. After completing the Cape Foulwind walkway, I found a few more caches. No problems here. Cache found safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
Off today from Greymouth back to Christchurch via Westport and the Lewis Pass. A quick and easy find. Cache in good condition. TFTC.
We cant believe it s 7 years since we DNF it. We parked right beside the cache this time and could see it from the car. A sunny day might make a difference. TFTC
Heading back to accomodation from Cape Foulwind Walk and still had energy for the last few caches on the road!
A quick find.

Enjoying the sunset as we go along. There were 4 campervans all parked just along the way as well, watching carefully to see what we were up to, but luckily they decided we were harmless and lost interest, so we could carry on. What a spot! Easy find thanks to good clue. Cache is all good, Added some SWAG. Fav point from us to thank you for your well maintained caches.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I are on a bit of a Christmas Roadtrip from Auckland to Ingill & back ... we'll be doing a few geocaches on our travels ... this being the 126th cache of hopefully many ... we had been spent Christmas in Invercargill & were now heading back to Auckland, taking the scenic route ... we were now heading North, doing caches as we go ... good to add another 'smiley face' to the tally ... TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #1,860 for us.
Found with NZDi. Today is the fourth day of our Wet Coast adventure and as the weather was supposed to be abysmal we decided to do a road trip to Inangahua Junction to pick up the roadside caches that would be impossible to stop for when towing a caravan. That was the plan... we got as far as our first find of the day and then as we got closer to the next the heavens open up and I got drenched. It would appear that as the warm air mass coming across the Tasman gained altitude it dropped all its moisture. The weather looked better nearer the coast so we changed our plans and headed back.
This was our second find of the day and one we DNF'd on an earlier visit back in 2017. Just as we pulled up within 2m of indicated GZ a campervan pulled in within sight. After a few minutes faffing about the occupants moved to the rear and we took the opportunity to make a QEF PnG.
I don't know why we had so much trouble last time.

*Thanks weenz for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!*
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather was quite bad again with several heavy showers of rain
Good meal at the pub then nice stop here.

Day 5 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Today was going to be one of my favourite drives, up the West Coast taking in all that wonderfully rugged coastal scenery between Greymouth and Westport. I've been lucky enough to do this route a few times, and it never fails to stir my sense of joy and wonderment.
The weather had really turned it on for me today, but by now it was beginning to get darker as I headed towards my stop for the night at Westport. Parking up near to GZ, I was hoping for a quick find but this one wasn't an immediate find. There were quite a few Agapanthus, and plenty of rocks to search too. In fact I had almost given up when I took a look at one last location and found the cache. There were no issues with anything here so the log was signed and everything placed back exactly as found before heading off to park up for the night.
Thanks for placing this cache.

No luck with this one today but out of cell phone range so I couldn't see the hint, but looked in likely places. Aggies can be good hiders.
Out today clearing off a few caches we missed last time.
Nice easy find here.
