Unfortunately this one is going. Originally it was a Thomas the Tankengine carry case for kids where I glued Australian Animals fro Yowie toys inside. The few who saw it before it disappeared loved it (including Tankengine who did not get FTF)

Recently it has been washed away with floods so it is time tofree thespace up for someone who might like to place one above ground level.

I had another successful, well for me, and exhausting day. I had intended to start early as I knew the temperature was forecast to be high - 35? I drove down to Kambah Pool where a very good friendly muggle picked me up and drove me over to Pine Island Reserve. Unfortunately I was 2 hours later than I was hoping for, so I ended up hitting the hottest part of the day. But I was pleased with the results - 22 !

LRRH (Little Red Riding Hood aka my GPSr),lead me around in circles for a while, but I eventually found and signed the cache. What a tremendous spot on such a hot day. I signed log, returned cache to its hidey hole and headed off once again. Thanks for the cache joeylovestreasure

A delightful morning for a walk along the Murrumbidgee River and again geocaching is a powerful motivator for a walk.
This cache was an easy find. Thank you joeylovestreasure for this cache.

Sunday 17 January 2017 - a warm summer's afternoon in the mid twenties with a few whispy clouds in the sky that were hardy able to protect my delicate skin from the heat and sun. Found 12 caches over some 7.5km over some 3.5 hours. Thx p2p. TFTC.

A lone wander down the Canberra Centenary Trail by the Murrumbidgee River from Pine Island to Kambah Pool, doing the Centenary Trail – Murrumbidgee River View series and some other caches along the way. This is a great spot here. We must remember it for those hot summer days as it is secluded but still nice river access. Today we didn't have time to stop for a swim (or appropriate clothing) so after finding the cache, we headed back to the track and further along the trail. Thanks joeylovestreasure Big Grin

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.

A nice spot on the river and good to deviate from the trail which unfortunately tends to stay away from the river. Cache found all OK, then spent some time admiring the view. I saw plenty of this river yesterday but 100+ km downstream.

Thanks

It's nice to have some extra caches along the trail TFTC. Also had a good reminder that it is spring and there are snakes about .... perhaps it was dead but I was going closer to a small brown to find out!

You can add me to the hordes of invading geocachers who have found this one while doing the Centenary Trail. I never got to see the original container but the new one is still pretty cool. Like the hiding spot, and the sound of the rushing creek. I nice place to relax, or perhaps plan my next heist with the other members of my gang of renegade street racers. Thanks for the cache joeylovestreasure

Perfect sunny weather meant assembling with the cast of thousands to make the collect on the Centenary Trail caches and several others Big Grin

I was with the Murrumbidgee Bohemian Breakfast Club (MBBC) comprising of toyhunters, StrangeTrousers, AngelG27 and Canberrachick as we all wanted to collect the Centenary trail caches as well as several others along the way.

It was a great day out-lovely sunny weather, great company, lots of laughs and lots of caches! Big GrinCool

Another diversion off the trail and it was an easy find for us here whilst listening to the river flowing Smile

Thanks for another, JLT! Smile

A great day for the walk sunny and with some good company, I can recommend this walk its a good morning or afternnoons walk , it took about 3 hours including a stop for lunch.
We started from Pine Island and worked our way down the series and grabed a few extra on the way
thanks for the series well done.

13-Sep-15
Domsky you have created a monster of a series, a epic as today me and TheSkype decided to complete it thinking we would be the only cachers around. Wrong! We decided to walk from kambah pool to pine island and we bumped into the royalty of geocachers coming the other way, like Sol de lune, kittykatch, toy hunters, stars align, sitehound, joeylovestreasure, bidgee9, specimenX, angelG27 and strange trousers to name a few. Me and TheSkype certainly felt like beginners amongst the professionals so it was definitely a great day? cheers

nice hiding place found with the Bidgee 9

#1195 7 of 31 today.

Discovered while on KK's Centenary Trail event. We split into about 3 groups and I was part of the last group who wanted to collect all the caches along the way. Our group signed with the generic 'MBBC" which stands for Murrumbidgee Bohemian B-something Club(? TH should know) that consisted of me, Toy Hunters, SpecimenX, AngelG27, and CanberraChick.

It was a beautiful Spring day and we met several other cachers along the way, amongst them: Green Martian, The Skype and Starsalign. Great to meet you all. We even caught up with Mr JD sans geo-schnauzers at Wonderous Wall. There were a few more we passed but did not realise were fellow cachers.

I think I found this one & remember openeing it up. Thanks for going to the trouble.

Thanks for the cache joeylovestreasure and the other MBBC members for a great day out.

13-Sep-15
I finally caught up with the lead group, and the 'Bidgee 8 became 'Bidgee 9. I was a little surprised to find them at this cache when they were supposedly just doing the series, but apparently this was a maintenance check. Good to now have company for the rest of the walk. TFTC - a very easy find when it has already been found!

A few of the Bidgee9 group detoured with the CO to find this cache and check on it. I would certainly have loved to see it in the original container. Thanks for the cache JLT.

Today's the day!!! I'm meeting my geocaching mates at Pine Island for the walk to Kambah Pool, and the new geotrail. Well, with my recovering ankle, I'm not going all the way, and I'm NOT clambering down anything steep or rocky. The most walking I've done since I broke it is just under 4 kms in one day. Today I'm hoping for more, In the end, I reckon I've done just under 8 kms, and it's held up pretty well. I can feel it, and it's now on ice, but I reckon today has done it good.

This is the third of ten today. I thought we were meeting at Pine Island at 10:00, so I got there a bit early, in the hope of a chat with my mates before the off. No sign of anyone, and here it is getting on for 10:30. Never mind, it's a really top day, I've obviously got something wrong. I'll take my time, and walk down the river until I reckon my ankle has had a good workout.. Bloody facebook, I can't get it up on my phone to check things out. Oh well, here I go. This was another nice easy grab, after some nice views of the river and some rapids. Very pleasant. Thanks, JLT. I've been checking for new logs on both ends of the trail, no joy so far. It's a lovely day, but no sign of my mates.

After a FB EOI call, we had about 14 cachers meet to do the Centenary Trail caches from Pine Island to Kambah Pool. The Murrumbidgee Breakfast Club (MBBC) comprised Toyhunters, Canberra Chick, Specimen X, Strange Trousers and myself - we wanted to collect a few extra caches along the way. We walked around 11kms, collected around 34 caches and took around 5 hours to do the lot! Glad that Specimen X had ice cold soft drinks and Canberra Chick had muffins car at the end of the trail - we needed the hydration and carbs! It was very tiring, but great fun. All the coords were spot on, all caches found and the company fantastic. A wonderful trek.

A quick find - dropped in a TB! thanks joeylovestreasure Smile

12-Sep-15
We had an opportunity to do this trail and today and collect other caches as we went, this was one of many we have had our eyes on, We started at at the Pine Island end and finished at Kambah, We had a great day and 100% found on the once that were attempted. TFTC

12-Sep-15
Quick detour off the path as we got close to the end of today's walk from Kambah pool. Nice little bonus cache along the river today. Cache all in good condition and well protected in its home. TFTC JLT

#5220 @1235
The new trail looked like a good option for an afternoon's exercise and caching, so after orienteering at Mt Taylor, I parked at Pine Island and headed off down the Murrumbidgee River Trail to Kambah Pool by bike, getting back nearly 5 hours later after finding 31 caches. The river was very high but the cache was still high and dry. TFTC.

28-Aug-15
Lucky this one wasn't closer to the water! It gets pretty high after recent rain.
Easy find here today, thanks for another cache to add to my lovely walk along the river Smile

25-Aug-15
I nice hike along the river grabbing all the new caches and a few old ones I haven't got yet. Pity it was raining, but that didn't worry me too much, except the touch screen on my phone kept going wonky.

Great spot and the river is way up at the moment. TFTC joeylovestreasure.

A very well hidden Geocache. Walked past it 3 times before I spotted it. No naked guys in the car park this time so I was very pleased.

09-Apr-15
Went down to find this Geocache today and caught a guy in the car park naked and masterbating vigorously. Police called and attended. I spent the next 3 hours at the police station giving a statement. By the time I left it was dark and I missed out looking for the Geocache. I will have to return now.

My last visit to this cache was a DNF so it was nice to cross this one off at last. I really enjoy this area which has had quite a few caches over the years. Pity the original container went – but I was happy to find its replacement and sign the log.
