No find for us today. Think we might have found where it was supposed to be. CO might need to check
Looked all around and found what we believe would’ve one been hiding spot but suspect the cache is long gone.
Beautiful spot though!

A short holiday travelling from Melbourne. Picking up a few selected caches along the way.
Unfortunately a DNF for us. We were certain we found some likely spots but no luck for us.
Thanks Team Wangi for creating and placing for all to enjoy. We did really like this spot.

We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, staying for a couple of nights in a park cabin at the Lake Macquarie Big4 Tourist Park in Mannering Park, to continue with our caching adventures on the Western shores of Lake Macquarie. Our previous visit to the area was in March/April 2018 for the OZ GeoMuster 2018 Lake Mac Mega Event, where our family’s chief puzzle solver had managed to solve (unassisted) a good portion of the Mega GeoArt puzzle caches that were on offer. And this new visit will hopefully see us complete most of the missing pieces of that Mega GeoArt, thanks once again to our family’s chief puzzle solver’s (unassisted) puzzle solving efforts. This was the 11th of 28 finds for the day, and 33rd of 73 finds for the weekend.
After a few finds at the start of the Wangi peninsula we next drove out to the end of the peninsula, parking the geomobile in the parking area and then walking out to this one. Walked along the bush track, and then down to the water's edge, where the hide was soon uncovered and we had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Team Wangi.

East find on a beautiful day down on the point. Only one fisherman nearby but no oroblems getting the treasure. TFTC
A walk with the mini-vivids to the end of the peninsula and back, had us arriving back at the car park earlier than planned, so we took another brief walk down to the lake shore, and with a mind to the clue, I was keeping my eye out for anything unusual. Just as mini vivid the eldest claimed to find a crab I spied something I was interested in, and pulled out a small container with a log. Nice hide in a nice location. Found some abandoned underpants which I’ll be adding to the Facebook group for finds of that nature. Picture attached. Noice.
Hopefully it is still around though notice it hasn't been found since last year.
As with previous log entry, cache container missing , just log inside zip lock bag. I had a container in my bag ready for another cache, so placed log into new container and replaced exactly where I found it. Cache was found about 15-20 metres from where my phone was telling me it should be.
Incomplete cache. Log book and clip lock bag found on ground. No sign of container. Messaged owner
Parked the car at the carpark just up from the campground to do the full circuit walk through the area. Searched all of the possible locations but didn't find anything. I also feel the last find log is a late log or fake.
While still staying at Morisset we travelled around the area with whitewebbs collecting a few caches and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers after attending the OzGeoMuster over Easter in Morisset and this was one we found.. There are some beautiful places around the Lake, thanks for showcasing them.. TFTC
some days collecting my cache of the day can actually be a chore , Not so today . I enjoyed the short walk to the cache and the view was wonderful. There was a muggle fisherman nearby who was pre occupied fishing. My gps had me looking the wrong area at first and because of me taking so long the fisherman noticed me and said I should be careful of snakes. I asked if he had heard of pokemon go and he laughed and said " I am too old school for those sort of games " then he went back to his fishing and I found the cache which he was oblivious too. Made me laugh . Thanks for the cache Team Wangi tnln replaced as found sl

Today was sign in day. After doing a wherigo and registering it was time to explore the lake and various geocaches.

Thanks. Team Wangi for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5608 for me.
Mrs Shifter was dropped off at the parking location with the plan to walk around the headland and meet Mr Shifter at Stinky Bay. This is a great area where Mrs Shifter really enjoyed her walk.
Cache was spotted very quickly.
Thanks for the hide Team Wangi.

Another interesting walk, but when we arrived the find was made pretty quickly. Now to find the way back to the car which was at the parking spot for Stinky Bay. We'd walked a couple of kilometers around the point to get to here.

Great spot. Plenty of water craft as a passing parade in a 10 knot southerly. Very sheltered in shore though.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found early morning after riding around from the mother-in-laws whilst the rest of the crew slept in. A favourite from me for the camo. Many thanks Team Wangi
Up visiting family for a 60th birthday I took off for a few caches after lunch at Wangi bowlo and found this one.
Thankyou Team Wangi for the cache

Find No: 6269. Nice sunny day to get out and about, loved this one, gets a favorite, thanks for the cache Team Wangi!!
Found
After attempting this cache earlier in the day our journey was canceled because a lot of Muggles were in GZ.
We came back! And after sticking my hand in holes and spider webs we found the cache, impressive camo

Really enjoyed the walk to this cache.

Spotted a lone fisherman in the distance as we were coming up to this GZ and said,' I bet the cache is where he is!'. While Sig distracted him with some chit-chat, the girls did a quick reconnoitre. Sig came back and we directed him to the find. We were very impressed with the time taken to camouflage the cache. SL TNLN TFTC Team Wangi FP given. By the time we got back to our car, our leisurely bush walk took about 2 hours. An afternoon well spent in gorgeous surroundings!

Wow that's such a nice spot to sit and eat , pray! It's such a great camo, big effort!
Third find for the day. i though the fishing muggles in the boat would make searching for it difficult. however we found a nice spot to sit and enjoy the view which just happened to be right next to the cache, so we were able to find and retrieve without looking to suspicious. TFTC
I had been to this one before but couldnt find it, back today and was enjoying the view and made a quick find TFTC
Today I ventured to the north end of Lake Macquarie and then down the western side.
A quick here for me today with a family fishing right at GZ. They asked what I was doing, I explained and they were cool with it. Have a nice day they said as I moved on.
Thanks for the cache

Wangi was the area for the afternoon, picked out by Samuel after a quick perusal of the map - look how close it is to the Bison Trail?!
What we found was a great little bushwalk - turned out longer than we expected, just one more..... may as well complete the loop now.....
Spotted this one fairly quickly - great cache camo! FP awarded for great camo, and your attention to cache maintenance - it's great to see owner maintenance logs and new log sheets....

A nice spot - we waited for some muggles to walk by before we grabbed it... TFTC
DNF at 11:36 AM.
Well at least we enjoyed the walk down to the waters edge and saw some muggles fishing and the big boats were very close in - must be deep out there.
We looked all around GZ with a very good idea of what we were looking for, but nothing could be spotted - not even a good spot to place a cache - that was safe.

Well, wasn't this one an adventure! Unfortunately leaving empty handed, but a good effort nonetheless.
Firstly we went the long way by accident (there is a trail veering to the right leading straight down to GZ from the white gate that is there to keep cars out). We went to the left following the colour coordinated paths on the sign but found this was the long way around, not that I'm complained! Thoroughly enjoyed the slight detour the little walk along the rocky water's edge was lovely too.
Secondly, I entered the wrong coords into my new GPS and had myself looking in the wrong spot for a good 45mins! I was determined, but also stupid for not double checking lol.
Once I found the actual coords, i spent more time searching all around GZ but to no avail! Was so devastated as this area is so lovely and the hint/past comments had for what seems like an awesome hide. But after some fisherman started coming down the trail, I decided to move on.
Will be keeping an eye on this one as id really love to return
Thanks anyway!

After spending the weekend up in the Watagans I popped into Wangi Wangi to collect some caches before picking up kids from a nearby youth camp.
I do appreciate interesting camo. Thanks for the effort that's gone into this one.
Another fav point for location and camo.

After getting home from work I got my son and headed out to this cache. We enjoyed the walk around and to the cache and I especially liked the cache camouflage. Junior can not sit still, so he was busy climbing and running, while I signed the cache. Junior is getting better at bush walking and walked most of the way back to the car (and he was in thongs). We stopped at a playground on the way home, but after five minutes we could see the wall of rain on the lake coming towards us and we only just got in the car in time.
Thanks for the nice walk, views and cache (only one more cache to find out here)!

Not sure how, but inside of the cache container metal rim is damaged. This means the plug/lid is really tight - almost impossible without a significant level of force. Damage is inevitable unless repaired. Thought you should know!
Although the cache itself was a quick find, the container took an age to open. Once open it was obvious why. See maintenance log. FP from me for your efforts on the camo and the great view. TNLN TFTC
