Well another dot day to fill and when I finally found the spot I realised it was totally exposed to all of the surrounding houses. There is a new building going up near the GZ.
Someone came out of the houses and asked me what I lost, explained what doing and they were fine about it.... but after coming home saw the news about increase number of burglaries.
There have been bushes cut down and work done to area so cache is gone and too exposed...

A nice walk down to this one and never released this place existed. Fairly easy to find then we were off to the next. TFTC

What awesome location. I have said it once and i will say it again, Geocaching has taken me to some great hidden location in this city. TFTC BH
Although there were not too many hiding places it took more than a moment to find.
Probably our third or fourth try, and I think we started to convince ourselves it was trickier than it was! TFTC
Took a while GPS threw me off, had to think outside of the box! Bag is broken but the casing seems waterproof! Maybe a bit of maintenance needed! Cool location!
Hevic and I looked for ages around the area for this one, but with no success. We suspect it's disappeared... might be worth a quick check? Love the small, out-of-the-way park though!
Well hidden found with martyman12 great place to put it and great looking cache
Had a good look but couldn't find this one today. We'll come back soon to try again.
Without light battery power and a dog that wouldn't stop barking at min no luck DNF
Yay! Visited again with the kids for an excuse to have a second look and sure enough.. there it was! Sneaky little cache!
I'm not sure if this is a cheap log or a fitting one to (probably) finish my streak of 55 days. 55 days makes me eligible for the challenge cache in Chch (if I get up that way again). TFTC supercat, though I had some inside knowledge it was a bit harder due the darkness and a tiny bit of ache creep.
Found at 10:53:00 a.m. on 18/01/2014.
I felt really exposed with this one and should really have dropped in with the geoboys.

Tricky to be inconspicuous with one of the local dogs going ape behind a fence, but hopefully we managed it. Cute little playground with nobody else in it. Thanks!
A very interesting place for a playground! I enjoyed this cache as there is no way i would have ever gone to such a place otherwise.. I must credit Mrs Spyda with this find! I searched the GZ to no avail but Mrs S searched again and she immediately found it!

Great hide making for a fun find this morning with tunfisk - lovely playground I never knew existed, thanks for showing us!!
Found with Hinemoana, the GPS kept showing some weird directions but managed to find it eventually.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit that this one had me completely stumped... Although I'm laying the blame on Kiwichris' log which I took for gospel. Sometimes it's hard to see the wood when you're focused on the bench. Two visits yesterday saw me none the wiser, but two PAFs gave me the info for a quick find this morning. It seems this kind of hide is my kryptonite , having had issues with a similar cache in a lane near Wakari many years ago.
Lovely little hidden playground which must be a wonderful spot for the locals to utilise.
TFTC Supercat135!

Knew about this lane, but not the playground at the end of it. Looked around and decided that my Garmin was either confused or lying (or possibly both) but there was no way the cache was where it was pointing -- it had to be there; except that it wasn't. No, it definitely wasn't there, nut there was nowhere else. (Decode the hint, read the logs.) Ah, look one more time, yes there it is, well what did you expect from 'a tricky hide'.
Although small, this definitely yet another nano slapped under a park bench, but a well hidden micro in a playground I suspect very few people know about.

This took me longer to find than I care to admit. Cool wee spot, lovely sunny day. Tftc
Well hidden little cache. Decided it couldn't possibly be where our GPS was pointing (silly little machine) and widened the search, oh look there it is, I'm sure it wasn't there when we looked before. Found with Lollipopcat and SpyDude13. Kia ora for the cache Supercat135.
Late out of work and then it started raining, so a change of plans needed. Already knew the playground and it turned out to be perfect weather for finding this cache. Nice camouflage and even a pencil in the cache- well done supercat135! Which playground will you take us to next?
We quickly found the pencil on the ground, but it took a wee while to locate the cache itself, which is well hidden, as indeed is the playground. TFTC
Amazingly on a nice sunny day such as today the playgroud was deserted.
Thanks

Tidying up a few of the closer to home caches around. Certainly well hidden - the playground at the very least!
Only five finds in the week since this came up and it's so accessible? Hmmmmm.....either lots of the locals are out of Dunedin for the school holidays or there are a few unlogged DNFs methinks. Reasonably quick find although you do feel a bit like there are many eyes on you! GPS was showing 18m for me but there are limited hiding places so not too difficult. TFTC.
The usually faithful Box of Tricks led me astray at first but soon narrowed it down. Mid afternoon on a lovely day and I had this secluded wee park all to myself.
Nice 1st hide Supercat.

Would never have known this playground was here! We were surprised to find some older children already here when we arrived so had a bit of a play and waited and waited until they finally moved on and we could eventually make the find. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Had our 5 year old cousin with us and he wanted to play hide and seek - hmmm there aren't a lot of places to hide but the one place I chose to hide happened to be where I found the cache! Found with debsnz
Great first hide! I remembered the park from years ago. I had a look there while I was waiting for the GPS to load satellites, and then another look when it confirmed that I was in the right spot. Excellent.
I scoped out this location about 6 months ago as a possible cache site, so I was familiar with its layout and possibilities. I didn't have a suitable cache container that would fit in, so I left the location blank. Now, that's good, because I was able to fill in a gap today with a nice handy cache! Quick find just before a couple of young children burst in to play! Empty log book, too, at 2.36pm. Thanks supercat135.
