Heading home after a weekend caching up with kjr in dunnas, time for a few on my way .

Returning from Big Smoke's funeral in Palmerston, though a detour to this long-ignored cache was a good idea... well, the PQ was outdated and the visit was a bit late to find the cache, as it turned out. Back home, saw the list of DNFs!
Been past here before many months ago but couldn’t stop to due to a muggle parked nearby. Had a fairly good search but the ground is very wet at the moment so I’ll be back for a more thorough look when things dry out a bit.
Found on the way to the Oamaru Geofest. A wee detour to get this one which I had previously looked for (unsuccessfully) a couple of months ago. Found straight away this time. TFTC
GPS took me straight to it and I had a bovine audience while I signed the log.

A quick park and grab. Last one for the day. It took me ages to find this one and had to get some help to find it. Oh well TFTC
Out clearing up some caches west of the main drag. It was nice and sunny when I left Dunedin but drizzly here.
Nice quick find for us here on the way from cache to cache heading slowly towards Christchurch.
Lots of wind and heavy rain today. SL TFTC

Heading North on the final part of the trip with tmann421.
Wet and windy, but a quick find for us here. TFTC

This was an easy one that I just couldn't seem to find at first ! Signed log as PEGS - a group from Southland going to the Mega.
Well this is really a poor cousin to some of the flash boundary markers on the main road! Quite a curious glance from some locals as they drove past. TFTC #7220
This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

Always wondered where this road led. Now I know and the GPS wasn't too far out either!
I parked up the road a bit and then walked to gz without my gps since I was sure I knew where it would be. Five minutes later and it turned out I was wrong...so I had to go back to the car and get the gps which then showed me I had been looking in the wrong spot all along. Grrr I hate that!! TFTC
It was dakotacats turn to find the cache, she was taking forever, so when she came back to the car to get the GPS I went and helped her find the cache. And yes I found it! TFTC
I was initialy thwarted by the local county grader realigning this intersection but retirned later and was happy to find the cache still intact.
Found after giving the DCC boundary cache on SH1 a miss as it was way to dangerous in the heavy traffic going south for the Highlanders rugby game in Dn tonight. TFTC
Stopped so that half the car was in one district and the other in the city Last one for a very long day, time for bed now!!! TFTC!!
Quick find. Always good to find the first one for the day where you think it will be. TFTC
Heading south with Bitsprayer this morning, it was good to make the find as we crossed over for what I hoped would be a good day, quite fitting that the first of the day was on the boundary of where we were headed but on a road not usually traveled.
Thanks

Quick find. These boundary signs amuse me. My experience at almost every one on gravel roads between Dunedin City and the neighbouring councils of Waitaki, Clutha and Central Otago districts is that the road surface improves markedly once you leave Dunedin City. I guess these other councils don't have huge stadium-driven debt that the roading budget is being diverted into. TFTC.
Carried on North to get this one. Still no sign of other Geocachers and I am in luck for the 5th time tonight. FTF 2315 #612
