A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 16 Glentunnel to Waikari 76 caches found. Decided to do this series. I enjoyed the work that has gone into this. With every container I smiled and thought about the memories it brought back. Thank you for the placement

Arrived into the S.I today. Our 1st stop was to pick up our Juicy van & then hit the road towards the westcoast.
We chose the area of the lolly scramble to take us towards our destination. We stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
We found such a variety of containers along this route, a nice war to start our trip.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Thanks for placing this cache MandMCachers

Sorry for the late log, recently retired and have some spare time now for catching up on all the bits of paper I have lying around.
TFTC had a big day caching back on 31st August

30-Aug-17
I am amazed at how such bright containers that are so easy to find have not been ruined by people who don't get what we do. This is probably my most enjoyable day caching yet, I really really enjoyed finding such an array of containers, many of which I have never seen before. I found myself imagining what I migt find at the next stop. This is definately a trail I will bring my grandkids to if I ever get to bring them to CHCH. Thanks so much for the enjoyment I have had today

Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced.

#3611. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). This one was another quick find. Nicely done cache in theme. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.

We are from Canada and visiting relatives In Christchurch for a few weeks. Started the lolly pop trail last week and we are finishing it today. Thanks to those who set up this trail. It has allowed us to check out an interesting area.

Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Long trip, but surprisingly we arrived there very tired, almost two days and two nights without sleep, but it took just 24 hours we got used to the new day.
Having Been to Akaroa and Kaukoura, and trail AHHH FRESH, today we decide to make a part of the trail from Kaiapoi to Oxford, we will find many cache, not the other will find, before we left we had decided to devote no more than three minutes for each cache, if it was not passed over it, some need maintenance, beautiful landscape and few cars on the course.
Thank you for suggesting this trail
Greetings from Italy
TFTC
Saluti dall'Italia

Headed out for a day of caching with Mr. Kiwi, to celebrate my 30th tomorrow. We had planned originally to nail our 400th - but the effects of both recent celebrations and real life in general meant we decided to cruise through the lolly trail, fruit and vege loop and whatever else came our way. It was a great day out together, and we were grateful to the cache owners who take the time to set up and maintain their hides.
So to you all, TFTC!

We are having a few days in Chch visiting family and of course finding some caches as well. After a couple of days SW of the city today we headed NW and as well as most of the Lolly Scramble trail we found several others in and around the areas nearby.A great variety of containers and hides made it a very enjoyable day. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.Thank you to all the CO's for making these 59 finds possible today.

20-Apr-16
It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. On our way home again and trying to find as many caches as pos. In the end they made us stay another night in the area Big Grin Thank you MandMCachers

Really enjoyed this series of lolly scramble caches. Loved the different cache containers. Went out with injeanious, we had every sort of weather, sun, hail, thunder and lightening! Thanks for the cache!

13-Dec-15
What to do with a free Sunday? Go geocaching! We decided to do the Lolly Scramble trail today and we had plenty of fun doing it. We even had a couple of bags of lollies along the way. It was a lovely day to start off with but it soon turned to hail, so we did a bit of dashing around.

We quickly found the likely spot or the cache, but there was nothing there. Jess.daphne spotted something lying in the grass. Could that be it? Yup, that's the cache. We filled it out and put it back where it was meant to be. Tftc!

This was my second visit to Christchurch in as many weeks, a fortnight ago I flew down for the Mega event with my family in tow, this time I was down to attend a conference held at the school of Education. My wife generously agreed to allow me to stay an extra day (and night) to explore the city and do some Geocaching. I made the most of the opportunity and found just over a hundred caches during my visit. Having already completed the ‘cutlery’ series earlier in the day nearby I decided to soldier on and find some Geocaching sweetness by having a crack at the Lolly Scramble series (with the odd detour here and there).

Rather than finding a Geocache here I found a real bottle of cream half full, lumpy and smelling like it had been there for a week too long.

A quick find on my drive along South Eyre Road.

30-Oct-15

Cheers for the cache.

A caching expedition that has been months in the planning. Jinta29 and I headed over from Perth, and today we met up with the GreenGeckos again for a final day assault on NZ caches.
We have had a ball over here. Personally my first trip to NZ. The cache owners have been great and Ive enjoyed meeting people aling the way.
i apologise in advance for the generic log.

MandMCachers - Kyzabra found your cache Lolly Scramble: Milk Bottles (Canterbury) on 28/10/2015, 7:34 AM. This is my find #4264 and find #20 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

28-Oct-15
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. Today we were joined by The Green Geckos today and we targeted some of the larger series around this area.

We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.

We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks MandMCachers for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

This is my find #4363 and find #21 today.

[green] Out with Hanknstone, Haydn.seek and thestepahine on an awesome 200+ day. We managed to get 210 caches in 11 hours, an average of 3 minutes each. There were a few awesome caches out there, but mostly it was a blur. Thanks to all the cache owners, and my apologies about the cut and paste!
Signed log as HHSS.
One of my favourite sweets. But I prefer the original recipe.

27-Oct-15
Hanknstone, Haydn.seek, the Seagnoid and I had a challenge of doing 200 caches in a day. We started at 7:30am and finished around 8:00pm with a total of 200+. Apologies for the copy and pasting of the logs but there were so many we found that it would take so long to write them all up individually! Thank you for the find. Smile

27-Oct-15
love MILK BUBBLE LOLLIES! The next on our 210 run finding caches for the day with our team of four- HHSS. Working as a team each doing diff. roles we were able to speed up the find rate quite well and we managed to do about the first 100 with no Did Not Finds but after that the distances increased and the find rate dropped but we still managed to finish the day with 210 cache. The seagnoid has planned etc our route so it was all efficient Thank you to The Seagnoid for this pre work and thank you to the different cache Owners for these great, interesting caches. I just loved the huge chuppa chup and all the veges and fruit. . Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.

Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

25-Oct-15
Our main focus on this Mega trip has been on picking up solved puzzles, but we have heard great things about the Lolly Scramble series so decided to spend some time this afternoon following the Lolly trail. And we were not disappointed - loved the themed "containers." Our afternoon was made even more enjoyable by the Mega traffic, flags, toots and joint finds with other cachers.
These would have to rate as one of our favourite lollies, so adding a point here.

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Greetings from Finland

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Well themed caches and a great trail, quick find TFTC

Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!

parislaura, Team jacob and I flew to New Zealand for the 2015 Mega. Smile
Never having been out of Australia before, this was a very exciting trip for me Cool
Today was a busy day with caching commencing at 10:58am and ending at 1:30am the following morning with 71 finds, 1 Mega event attended and 5 DNFs Sad to keep me on my toes Twisted

A pair of stalwart North Islanders decided that they would be up to a late night cache hunt and so fire-mansam, Fuzzyfruit and I left from the Twilight Picnic event to get some lolly caches Cool
21:26 we made our first sweet find and 1:30am we made our last find before heading for home.
All up, we found 39 of this amazing series and thoroughly enjoyed all of them Cool
A great variety of ccahe hides with humour in all....a FANTASTIC cache which had to be filmed in action, some easier and some harder retrievals and lotrs and lots of laughs from us as we enjoyed the cloudy, then clear, then foggy night.
My thanks to the CO and family for their creation of this fun series [^]
