1 September 2024 9:52amOut with a friend showing her the ropes of caching. This was a nice little find which took a bit of time to find as we searched in some wrong locations. In the end it was our friend who spotted the spot.Kids played on the jumps as we made our way back out again
Regarding our O'Dwyers Gully walk, baby Cottontail and I set out departing from Parkside Drive just after 09:45 hr. We walked along Woogaroo Highway (interestingly named for a bushland track), and then proceeded anti-clockwise via Nic's cross over, Opossum Creek Run, before walking through the scrub to join Bee Run and returning north to then follow Woogaroo Highway back to the car. We ended up walking a total distance of 9.6 km across an elevation of 161 m, with a moving time of 2:20 hr, and elapsed time of 3:15 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11258349271). A forgotten bushland area, and a few of the trails still seem to be used by 4WDs. Midway through our walk, baby Cottontail enjoyed a backpack nap, which gave me motivation to continue a longer route than planned.Upon walking the main track, I found a few wrecks nearby the turnoff to this cache interesting. It took a few minutes of looking around GZ and not finding anything, before I read a few logs, and noted recommendations for reading the logs from [Beardman75](https://coord.info/PRG2ADN) and [kolour](https://coord.info/PRDR6H9) for helpful clues and alternative coordinates. These appeared to be good, so I would also recommend S 27 38.471' E 152 54.538'. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, with six months since its last visitor. Thanks [TrickyT](https://coord.info/PR1GWZW) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today on the Anzac Day public holiday, baby Cottontail and I travelled to Springfield and walked in O'Dwyers Gully. We stopped at a few geocaches en route in Camira, which provided an opportunity for playground play. Following our walk, it was time for a bakery lunch and a few geocaches in Springfield, Camira, and Gailes, before returning home in the early afternoon.
I was sitting at home when I get a call from Triple Turmoil, I’m free of kids for the afternoon, let’s go cache. WOW within half an hour she was on the doorstep, bikes loaded and we were on our way. There is a group of 5 or 6 caches that we were going to hit for the afternoon ride. This was her first time on her new bike.
We did manage to sneak in a few extra caches in our travels. Thanks to all CO’s for the afternoons adventures and hides.
All were fun little adventures and easy finds, we signed the logs and replaced all as found.

I had a spare few hours in the afternoon and the two turmoils were off on various adventures. I decided it was time to do some of the caches that the children would whinge about. I called Chamad and within half an hour we were on our way and off to this area to get some smilies.
The ride in this area is not recommended. The rocks on the track are relentless. It may possibly have been quicker to walk.

Headed out on the geo-bike for a few caches after parting way with my granddaughter.
Decided to hit a few around Brookwater.
Used Kolour and beardman75’s posts to guide me. Then it was a quick find.

I was here 5 years ago with elina_maree and all our kids. But it appears I didn’t log my find back then. Pretty funny considering the hint for this cache. Anyway, I was coming past again today so I thought I would find it again. Took a bit of searching before I remembered where it was. Signed the log again and this time I won’t forget to log my find. TFTC!
I found this cache years ago. Found again today with geograndkids, Olly and Flynn. TFTC.
I popped out for a spot of caching today & was pleased to pick up 5 out of 5.
Attempting this first up I entered following a geotrail I spotted when approaching but with hindsight it is much easier to stay on the main track & come in from above. My phone had me going in circles & nothing obvious was jumping out at me. I was considering giving up until I read through the previous activity logs & with the help of kolour’s coordinates & Beardman75’s comment I found my target. Log signed TFTC

A reasonably quick find. Those mountain bike jumps look quite scary. Glad I read the whole description as geohubby wanted to scramble up the hill. TFTC
Great to see some MTB action out this way! We looked for a while and then I spotted something a little odd. Nice spot TFTC
I spent a few hours walking in the Springfield bush today on a beautiful winter’s day. Didn’t see anyone else. I parked in Parkside Dr and did a big circuit. This was the first and took the longest to find. There were plenty of possible hiding places but I couldn’t find the cache at gz. I saw that a previous finder had suggested slightly different coordinates, so I headed in that direction. After a bit of looking around I found it. First find of this cache this year. The coordinates I had were S27 38.471 E152 54.538. Tftc
Took a bit but found eventually. Cool jump. Unfortunately Camo is coming off cache. This one hasn't been found in a bit.. tftc
Essential Saturday exercise in this deserted bushland.
Not a living soul in sight today.
Walked in from the South, College Drive, this was out turn-around point for today.
My coords were 9 or so meters out, S 27 38.470 E152 54.539
Thank you for this cache TrickyT

Coordinates changed from:
S 27° 38.480 E 152° 54.540
Coordinates changed to:
S 27° 38.475 E 152° 54.539
Distance from original: 30.8 feet or 9.4 meters.
Seems the change to the coordinates I did 2 years ago didn't filter through to the cache page you all see even though it was correct on mine. This will explain why so many had difficulty. Hopefully this time it takes.

As the last cache on our Northern segment of this bush we didn’t want to leave with a sour taste in our mouths like a tequila where the barman has given you lemonade instead of lemon. We kept at it and searched far and wide.
I could see that Mrs Woodyrothwell didn’t seem to be helping me search and was bush doing her own thing. Being a prep teacher, the Very Hungry Caterpillar is a part of the unofficial syllabus and when she found a cool one she stopped to pose for some photos with it.
In the end I resorted to some old logs and I found some updated coordinates which I applied and within a couple of minutes of having moved, was onto the hide. I recommend pasting in the updated coords in the logs or you could be wasting a lot of time looking in the wrong spot. I also recommend donating a bit of food to any hungry caterpillar you meet. tftc

Checked up on this one today due to a few DNFs. It's still sitting in it's nook. You need to look a little 'deeper'.
Found. Thanks for the cache TrickyT. Searched to no avail initially. It wasn't until we read through some previous comments that we noted TrickyT had provided slightly amended coordinates: S27 38.475 E152 54.539. Once we entered these as a waypoint, it narrowed our search for us and then I spotted a tell-tale sign of a cache hiding spot.
Out today to get a few caches for my date placed grid. Arrived at GZ and started searching all possible hides until I located it about 10m from the jumping coords. SL then returned as found. It jumps no more for sure.
Found on 3 August 2018. TFTC, TrickyT.

Found this one today in the same area I spent quite a time searching on my last visit - some 10 metres or so from where my GPS thought was GZ. I did search the final location last time, but a bit further along. Anyway, all done and dusted now, with my name in the near-new log book.

Found with boonimajneB. That was a hard one! The coordinates were jumping all over the place, probably due to the thick trees. Eventually I understood the instructions and stayed on the path up to the right (or left?) access point. Then it still took some hunting before at last I saw something that looked like a “geocacher’s clue.” But even then, the search was not quite over and I had one final thing to do to discover the well-hidden cache.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Just as we were walking away from this one, boonimajneB stumbled across the previous cache that had gone missing. We have put it in with the new cache, for the CO to collect.
Did a maintenance run here today. Cache is still there though had been disturbed by a foraging animal I assume. Co-ordinance are a bit jumpy here but the above numbers worked best for me. Added a clue to assist.
searched around GZ and found the excavators OK, still all safely locked up to prevent theft. Then shifted my search area a dit further away looking at a few possible locations but to no avail sadly. (Tricky T, Why didn't you update the coordinates rather than just write a note about them - Must have just been a senior moment?) Spent a fair time searching but came up empty, and a few more to find this morning further along the track. TFTC, anyway, TT.
Checked out this one today and sadly it is gone. Apparently the abandoned track is being used again with evidence of recent activity. Tools still on site. So I have replaced cache and moved it a dit further away from the track. New co-ordinated are S27 38.475 E152 54.539. Happy hunting.
This was the first cache muggle son and I visited on our morning caching trip. When we got there we were both having phone problems. I discovered that my credit was all used up and I couldn't access any cache information, and my GPS had decided today was one of the days it wasn't going to work. My son's newly-installed C:Geo needed to be set up and logged in, so we spent some time messing around getting started, and in the end, after lots of walking to and fro, we still couldn't work out where it might be. As there were quite a few caches I still wanted to find, we decided to move on.
out doing some caching didnt find this one after about 45 minutes of looking come up emtpy handed
owner may need to go check this one make sure it still there as the place is in a bit of a mess

3.25pm. A short while to spot this one, then we saw something a little out of place.
Thank you. David.

So many places it could have possibly been hiding. Nice camo! Thanks for the cache TrickyT!
Really enjoy your hides tricky t. Legs need loosening up after last nights workout. Tftc
Nice easy one. TFTC!
Note: This was found by Neversaydi on the above date. NeverSayDi & E(: are combining accounts and are now TeamDIEL just consolidating. Thanks.

Spur of the moment decision geofriend muggle and i head out looking for nearby night cache but moved onto others. 5th cache for the night down to one torch which i didnt have at the time and muggle friend had one spot i had another we thought it might be. She was the right one and found some snails for her lizard too. TFTC and a great night
TFTC. #4. Found with my family. This would be a fun place on my scooter, but even just running was cool.
TFTC. #453. A good container and quick find. Happy to not have climbed up the hill but come in on the flat.
TFTC. #16. Found with the family. It looks like this would be fun to have a bike on,if it was allowed that is.
We finally set out on our adventure and before long we were at the first cache. It was well hidden but big enough it didn't take too long to find. It was in a nice shady spot and I enjoyed the brief respite from the sun.

Spent the day in the area with Genyo doing some caching. After some walking we found ourselves at an appropriate area to head to GZ. After a quick search we had the cache in hand. TFTC!
Hmmm... who put those ski jumps here?
I'm banned from mountain biking for obvious reasons, but can see these humps with a generous covering of powder snow. Nothing like a bit of air under the skis!
An easy find after picking my way over to GZ. The aim is to clear this side of the cache trails today, so best we get on with it.

Smilie #2082
The call went out, on Facebook, for able bodies to do a little night caching, with the main goal being 'The Night has a Thousand Eyes' night cache. I was quick to jump on board as this sounded like it promised to be another great caching jaunt.
Of course, rounding up a few extra smilies, in the great company of (Mr & Mrs) Roddy C, along the way is also a must!
We headed off to find our target night cache when Mr RoddyC just happened to mention there was a Traditional nearby if I was interested. Interested? Can a kangaroo hop? LOL ...
As the RoddyC's had already claimed a find here it was a quick foray into the undergrowth to add a smilie to Linden/6's map.
Having a previous finder as a 'tour guide' made locating GZ super fast & the cache was soon in hand.
TFTC TrickyT I think this is going to be a good night!

Someone has put a lot of work into those jumps. Shame they are so close to housing and therefore wasted.

After spending the afternoon caching with a group of fellow cachers organised by Hot Wheels Duo, most of us had decided a quick bite to eat was in order at a nearby restaurant with golden arches. After the varied group had consumed their respective meals, and Hot Wheels Duo and I having planned to do a night cache later in the evening, we made our way over this side of town.
Goodness knows how many roundabouts there were on the 20-minute or so journey, but it seemed like every street had a roundabout on it nearing the cache parking coords! Here we met up with the CO and another cacher who had been invited along to do the night cache with us. After much shaking of hands, introductions and general caching talk, we headed in to the bush.
As dark had not yet begun to set in properly, the CO advised we would be able to complete a number of his other caches on the way to the night cache. This cache was the first one up on our list and we all made our way to GZ before I promptly found the cache container and one of my fellow cachers inscribed our names on the log. Nice and easy one to start the evening off with. Or maybe it was because we were all well fed and watered?! TFTC. SL.

I was out with Hot Wheels Duo and 35 To 1 to do the night cache The night has a thousand eyes. We had the pleasure of the company of the CO who was checking his caches. This was our first cache on our path. Found by 35 To 1. Nice hide!
Geo wife and I were out here on the night of New Years Eve to do the night cache in these parts & picked up these traditionals on the way back to the car. It was about 12.30am when we found this one. A nice quick find here and all good with the cache. Tftc
After spending the afternoon caching, 35 to 1 and I carried on for some night caching, meeting MNance101 and the CO at the parking cords for the journey. With our intention a night cache, but still an hour before dark we could clean up a few along the way.
This was the first - a quick find for those ahead of me, log signed and we continued up the hill.

Wow this place looks like fun! Scary, but fun!
I am heading in for an attack on the nearby night cache, and am hoping I have timed it well to be there right on dark. So far so good, there is enough light to just not need a torch as I hunt for this one. It took a little longer than I would have liked, but eventually the tricky hide was solved.
Nice one that TrickyT.

Muddy area as we had good rain day before good ride for motorbikes as i thought it s banned but i can see motorbikestracks still go there and good jumps for them. we looked at hint and terrian and we keep looking very high cache but nah took us while to look for it and i saw that area and i didnt think it would be there but one of my geofriend found it where i thought it will be there as i am slow lol should follow my heart and go there.TFTC
The long lost second member of Team__DNF suggested we do the night has a thousand eyes so inevitably this cache was added to the list. whoever uses these things must be a little bit mad. TFTC
A very good hide but could be vulnerable to being moved. The track looked like it had been used recently. Good container in good condition.
Wow imagine the fun that has been had here and imagine the accidents too. My wife works with acquired brain injury. She would not approve of this. But now new fun is being had here. Luckily I came at this from the right angle. Soon had signed and re hidden. Tftc
YIPPEE, the sun is out.
After yesterdays rain I went out and about in this area looking for caches.
My third long walk of the day heading out to these caches.
I knew I should of brought the MTB.
Thanks for the cache.

Ha Nelson the Magellan was boucing around and sending us in circles. We also forgot about the previous nights rain so things were muddy. Found the cache intact in a great hide. TFTC
Out for a night with The Hunting Rabbits and a few other caching teams to search for a thousand eyes, this was the first cache we found on the night and just the beginning of a very enjoyable evening with a group of friendly like minded people. The cache was quickly located and the log passed around for signing before making our way back along the track to the next cache. Thank you for having placed the cache TrickT.
We just arrived back in Australia and to celebrate we decided to organise a group attack on The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (GC4QQAG). We met at the parking co-ordinates and headed in. This was the first grab for the night, which after a little bush bash, was a nice easy find. TFTC TrickyT

Picked up this one while on the hunt for a 1000 eyes with TassieGirl13 & Membsec and Co.
Once we arrived near GZ we soon realised how and where the cache name originated.
It?s more of a trials area now than jumping we think.
