1 September 2024 10:04amContinuing on our little adventure here we made our way to this spot. We kind wished we had brought our own picnic to sit and chill as the title of this one made is a tad hungry. We also spotted where a long ago creek may have been and dropped off a travel bug to sit and rest before it goes out fishing again.TFTC
Regarding our O'Dwyers Gully walk, baby Cottontail and I set out departing from Parkside Drive just after 09:45 hr. We walked along Woogaroo Highway (interestingly named for a bushland track), and then proceeded anti-clockwise via Nic's cross over, Opossum Creek Run, before walking through the scrub to join Bee Run and returning north to then follow Woogaroo Highway back to the car. We ended up walking a total distance of 9.6 km across an elevation of 161 m, with a moving time of 2:20 hr, and elapsed time of 3:15 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11258349271). A forgotten bushland area, and a few of the trails still seem to be used by 4WDs. Midway through our walk, baby Cottontail enjoyed a backpack nap, which gave me motivation to continue a longer route than planned. This geocache was on my priority/bucket list due to its high Favourite Point (FP) count, with 33 FPs as of the time of my visit.I was interested in seeing this favourited geocache in the middle of this area, and it was a little different to the "modern fish" that we all know these days with the requirement of TOTT. Despite its age (pre-TOTT), I couldn't help but check upwards (maybe the hint suggested that too). A short search, and the cache was found. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and nicely themed. Thanks [TrickyT](https://coord.info/PR1GWZW) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today on the Anzac Day public holiday, baby Cottontail and I travelled to Springfield and walked in O'Dwyers Gully. We stopped at a few geocaches en route in Camira, which provided an opportunity for playground play. Following our walk, it was time for a bakery lunch and a few geocaches in Springfield, Camira, and Gailes, before returning home in the early afternoon.
Maintenance run, replaced the log and repaired the cache. A fresh fish has been caught and all good to go.
Felt like I was missing something obvious here. Searched around for 10min but no luck
I was sitting at home when I get a call from Triple Turmoil, I’m free of kids for the afternoon, let’s go cache. WOW within half an hour she was on the doorstep, bikes loaded and we were on our way. There is a group of 5 or 6 caches that we were going to hit for the afternoon ride. This was her first time on her new bike.
We did manage to sneak in a few extra caches in our travels. Thanks to all CO’s for the afternoons adventures and hides.
All were fun little adventures and easy finds, we signed the logs and replaced all as found.

I had a spare few hours in the afternoon and the two turmoils were off on various adventures. I decided it was time to do some of the caches that the children would whinge about. I called Chamad and within half an hour we were on our way and off to this area to get some smilies.
The ride in this area is not recommended. The rocks on the track are relentless. It may possibly have been quicker to walk.
This was a clever cache but quickly spotted thanks to the stand out piece. Still not sure what the hint meant. One day it may become apparent.

Headed out on the geo-bike for a few caches after parting way with my granddaughter.
Decided to hit a few around Brookwater. This one lured me here.

Found the container in the open. Not sure if it's fallen from somewhere. Tried to conceal as best as possible.
I was here in 2018 with elina_maree and all our kids. I forgot to log this cache after that outing. Back today by myself and picking up caches in the area. I couldn’t even remember what this one looked like and was checking all the wrong objects. Finally I stopped to read the logs again, glanced up and saw it just sitting in front of me. That’s right, I remember it now. But now it’s just the chips. Still a fun cache. Thanks TrickyT!
I found this cache years ago. Found again today with geograndkids, Olly and Flynn. Harder today. TFTC.
I popped out for a spot of caching today & was pleased to pick up 5 out of 5.
This was very sneaky & I guess it was sheer luck rather than skill that I found this cache. Log signed & cache returned with some camo. TFTC

After reading the CO's maintenance note, I scratched around in the leaf litter and found it immediately. Thanks for the cache
Took me a while but the little fella and some noisy friar birds in the trees above kept me company.
GPS was throwing me off a bit but after searching around a more obvious area, I found a clue and immediately understood why everyone was referencing fish and chips haha. Tftc, very tricky indeed.

With a few DNFs I headed out and I'm not surprised it wasn't found. I also thought it was gone but with as bit of scratching turned up the attachment and so the cache was there but buried under a heap of litter,. must have been a big wash through here. Sadly the fish seems to have been eaten so I go fishing and try to get a replacement for future hungry seekers. The cache itself it there and waiting to be found. My apologies to the folk who couldn't't find it.
No luck today. I had another look on the way back past after a hint from a previous finder but it started raining and I had no more luck
Super cool camo! I think the fish has been eaten already. More of just a fish head left. Reminds me of the song, now I’m singing “I took a fish head out to geocache, had to use some fishing line to log him now!”
Number three on my walk today on a beautiful winter’s day. I looked at the camo not realising it was hiding the cache. After a bit more looking around, I returned to the original spot and saw something suspicious. Very clever camo. Tftc
I went straight in for this one not knowing what to expect. I picked something up and was like whoa what is this magic, had me stumped for a second. This is probably my first and last time I've ever been fishing. Bush fishing is my new favourite thing. Love it. Fav point from me! X.
Essential Saturday exercise in this deserted bushland.
Not a living soul in sight today.
Not the typical kind of wreck in this forest

We decided to walk up the small hill and pick up the caches on the way back. The start of the trail was flat, mowed and looked more welcoming than an in-law with a smile on their face the first time you meet them. I started to think about skipping along and braiding some unicorn hair to the Disney tune the pixies were playing.
After about 30 metres the beautiful trail turned into a rock nightmare and I’m not talking about an out of key Metallica concert. There were so many rocks that you needed to be on high alert lest you roll an ankle by stepping on a rock.
I’ve become accustomed to looking at my phone instead of paying attention where I’m walking. It’s more important to check Facebook updates than look ahead especially when I’m crossing a road or performing open heart surgery.
At GZ Mrs Woodyrothwell came up with the goods and told me I had something smeared on my face. She came close to try and rub it off but I said if Mel Gibson kept that blue junk on his ugly mug for all of Braveheart then I should wear my filth as a badge of honour as well. tftc

Found with Mum elina_maree, my friend Ben, brother eliton159 and Brissy Cat but unsure if wrote my name in log book or not.
Found - thanks for the cache TrickyT. This is one of four of your local caches that we actually had success with today. Lured here by the delicious-sounding cache title but we figured there wasn't going to be a fish & chip shop in the middle of this bushland.
Last one for this area and ir certainly didnt disappoint. Found quickly SL then admired its beauty. Replaced as found.
A favourite point from me.
Now time for lunch... fish and chips sounds nice!
Found at 12.50pm on 3 August 2018. TFTC, TrickyT.

Don't know how I missed this one last visit. I must have had a haddock. A quick find today after a careful; examination of the area. Added my name to the log, and replaced the cache. TFTC. TrickyT.
TrickyT, you certainly earned your cacher name with this tricky cache. TFTC.
Found with boonimajneB.

Found a founder and some rather straggly chips, but a fairly extensive search failed to satisfy unfortunately. Did admire the piscatorial effort! Shall have to come again perhaps for another look with an extra pair of eyes. TFTC, anyway, TT.
This was the second cache muggle son and I visited on our morning caching trip around the park. The GPS wasn't being especially helpful, but we eventually ended up in the approximate location, but were thrown a red herring when we found a lot of wood chips. It turned out to be the wrong chips with the herring though, and I actually happened upon the right Fish and Chips by accident. I was bending over saying to my son, "This is sort of odd ...", when I noticed that it was geo-odd. Funny. Thanks for the cache.
This one made me laugh...well hidden in plain sight...nice one...a fav point from me. Thanks TrickyT.
Down from Toowoomba with Eskies5 to grab a few caches. Where to look while avoiding the feathers. Luckily Eskies5 made this clever little find before having to widen the search. Great hide here, TFTC TrickyT
I can see why this cache had so many favourites. Very creative Tricky T. Well worth the walk. Thanks for the cache!
This creative cache was so badly damaged i couldnt find the micro and had to come back a second time on the way out of the bush. Surely i had missed something. There it was. Finally found it and logbook signed!
It wasn't as easy as I thought. TFTC!
Note: This was found by Neversaydi on the above date. NeverSayDi & E(: are combining accounts and are now TeamDIEL just consolidating. Thanks.

Great morning walk, getting back into caching! Quick find, but great hide and location. Thanks for the cache
On a spur of the moment desicion geofriend muggle and i headed out for a night cache but moved on and found others in the area. 2 out of 2 my friend fines the cache before i finish reading the description. We thought we found something interesting then realised it was the cache. awesome design and thought. Love it TFTC
Teamdfl and I are in area today for a few caches.
I had found this one a year ago but it looks like I did not log it. So my name is in the log book twice.
Thanks for the cache.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:25pm. Parked outside and made the walk in to GZ. What an interesting cache. TFTC
TFTC. #14. Found with the family. A cool cache and it took a couple of looks in the right location to find it.
I thought... This looks odd! And sure enough it was something odd. But it took a minute for so for the name of the cache to click. Nice little container. I also liked I didn't need to venture too far off the track for this one.

Spent the day in the area with Genyo doing some caching. After a quick walk we found an appropriate area to head towards GZ. When there it wasn't long before Genyo pulled up something a little odd. Quite a creative cache. TFTC!
The aim of the game today is to clear the Springfield side of this bushland, and so here we are
An easy find and, I must say, the CO has been busy in his workshop whipping up some creative cache containers. This one didn't disappoint! I looked for the fish but found only the chips and, boy, there sure are a lot of 'em.
Better keep on moving on over the hill...

Short detour into the bush on the way to the first waypoint for the night cache by the same CO. If this cache is indicative of this CO, then the Thousand Eyes is sure to be enjoyable. Clever interpretation of the cache title. Found at 6.40 pm on 19th April 2015. TFTC.
Smilie #2083
The call went out, on Facebook, for able bodies to do a little night caching, with the main goal being 'The Night has a Thousand Eyes' night cache. I was quick to jump on board as this sounded like it promised to be another great caching jaunt.
Of course, rounding up a few extra smilies, in the great company of (Mr & Mrs) Roddy C, along the way is also a must!
Aha! Another Traditional on the scope as we headed for our target night cache. Well, we can't just bypass it, can we? Especially as neither of us had claimed a find here as yet.
A short detour off-trail & it wasn't long before we got GZ sorted & the cache was quickly retrieved. Love the idea & the name now makes sense. Not just a random choice but a very appropriate reference to the cache itself.
Log signed & all replaced as found. Great effort with this cache TrickyT!
A favourite point for the cache & the overall concept.

After finding two of the previous caches by this CO nice and easy, I somehow knew we would become unstuck sometime soon. Indeed we did, sooner rather than later. To be fair to all cachers out on this little mission it didn't take us too long to find the cache, just a little longer than at the previous pair.
Upon arriving at GZ, as the CO looked on with a slight smirk, the three of us spent a minute or so hunting around all the obvious spots before I cheekily asked him if we were "hot or cold". He chuckled but said nothing... we knew we were close. In fact two seconds later I touched something that all of a sudden made sense with the cache name (which, before-hand, had not).
I'll say no more other than this is one of the caches that makes more than one of the group want to take a photo of the container. It certainly is nothing like I have seen caching before. For this alone, you earn a FP. The company on the evening's walk was a nice bonus. I'm beginning to see why the CO chose his caching name! TFTC. SL. And on to the next one...

I was out with Hot Wheels Duo and 35 To 1 to do the night cache The night has a thousand eyes. We had the pleasure of the company of the CO who was checking his caches. This cache was on our path to do the night cache. Found by 35 To 1. Great cache!
Geo wife and I were out here on the night of New Years Eve to do the night cache in these parts & picked up these traditionals on the way back to the car. It was about 12.10am when we found this one. We had just signed the log on the night cache and watched the fireworks from the top of the hill for a bit. Time to get back to it & Wow I love the creativity with this cache, I understand the name now I have found it. Crafty!!! Tftc
Continuing on our merry way and this one is next on our list. We could feel the CO laughing on the inside at us trying to find it. Before too long 35 to 1 had it in his had - great container - definitely one you will one see once. Thanks for the work that has gone into this hide!
I am heading in for an attack on the nearby night cache, and am hoping I have timed it well to be there right on dark. Starting to get a fair bit darker now. Torch needed to find the cache, though an interesting camo was easy enough to find! A lot of work has gone into this one. Very creative!
All good with the log. Thanks.
All good with the log. Thanks.
on a mission to collect the nearby night cache, but before we even got there we needed to make a few detours. Glad we found this one, very cool. TFTC
One of two caches which were found on the way out while the batteries were still good after completing "the night has a thousand eyes". Thanks TrickyT for the cache.
I just had a funny thought of you walking in here to hide that and someone sees you. Umm why do you have that out here? He he. I didn't see it at first and came back and the slapped my head. Tftc
A quick run up to this one and indeed the cache had been dislodged and was on the ground under the camo-hide. Being small and dark it would have been difficult to spot after dark. I can see that 'chasethetreasure' was here and I'm more than happy for it to be logged as a find. Now back in place. Please ensure it is tucked securely back where you found it as it will only set tight in one spot. Thanks
Found the fish and chips but no sign of a cache inside any of the chips and the fish doesn't look like it had an opening. Dark was setting in so I didn't search much further bug did have a little search around the area without finding anything obvious. Mustn't have been looking for the right thing?
Tricky T must've got 'A's at kindergarden for creative craft!!!! Great fun cache. Thanks for bringing us here. This was as far as we got because I noticed up the road that my wallet was missing so it was back the way we come.
Out for a bit of night caching with the newly arrived back in Australia The Hunting Rabbits and a few other caching teams, when thoughts turned to food and the idea of Fish & Chips sounded like a good idea. We made our way toward ground zero and while the GPS had some searching elsewhere, we suggested a likely spot to Mrs Hunting Rabbit to look a little closer. A fun little cache to find and with our names on the log we were off to search for some more. Thank you for having placed the cache TrickyT.
We just arrived back in Australia and to celebrate we decided to organise a group attack on The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (GC4QQAG). The cache container was very interesting and unique, but not too difficult for Mrs THR. TFTC TrickyT. Keep up the creativity.
TFTC. Out for a Night of Cacheing with other new friends and a Team Zener Hunt. Thanks to a Team effort cache quickly found and logged. We had a great night out and really enjoyed the experience you helped provide. Nice peace of cache art. Appreciated your effort.

Found with Bedmaker, Membsec and their muggle son and grandkids.
We called in to grab this one on the way back from the night cache. I really enjoyed this one, it was very clever and I loved the cache container. Very cool!
