No luck today,
I'm fairly sure I found the hiding spot, but no cache.
(Maybe another case of cache blindness...)

Found the site and there seemed one obvious place for the cache (with no other real alternatives) but no luck

Unfortunately we could not find this today. Thought we had it but nothing there. May have gone??
Beautiful place to find, but unfortunately no cache - found what I assume was the right tree but nothing hanging at the obvious spot.
Hello Ron.haha, it's been awhile since I've done one of yours so I ventured out on a day where I was worried about slithery sticks. I spent a bit of time here to no avail. I 'll be back though a great area.

I was part of a group on a grasslands tour today. We had to use the Barry Road entrance as the bridge across the freeway was shut.
On the way back out we decided to stop here for lunch and I had plenty of time to find the hide.
Did you know that there is a lot of wild celery growing here?
Cheers Ron.haha, thanks for the fun.

The art of geocaching is the hardest way in and the easiest way out. Nice hide and a good walk so close to So much industry. TFTC.
Back in *the day* (c.1984) we would load our motorbikes onto a tilt tray and come out here from Port Melbourne, on weekends for a ride.
I can't believe we never found this wonderful glade.
I parked the truck in Barry Rd and enjoyed the walk down, although it was in the mid 30s.
Tempted to take a dip near GZ.
A thorough search finally turned up a nicely camouflaged, yet hidden in plain sight, treasure.
Thank you for placing this cache and highlighting a delightful feature of our great city, Ron.haha

Took the direct down hill slide to this one wondering how I was going to get back. Located the cache and found an easier way back up the hill. SL TFTC
Found after finding the right tree at the spot. A really nice spot near suburbia. TFTC.
Gosh this is a pretty place. You could be almost anywhere except in the city here. Thank you for showing me this place.
A tad windy today..kept all the muggles away. A nice & peaceful spot..amongst an industrial wasteland
On the way to work this morning, I decided to grab a geocache to get a good start to the month. I picked this one, as it is very close to work, and I have been meaning to go get it for a while.
Having done a few others a little north up the creek, I knew that the creek had some nice suprises - hidden areas of nature that you would never expect to find in Campbellfield, however on approach to GZ i was utterly blown away. Down at the creek, no factories or highway can be seen, or even heard thanks to the trickling water. I can understand why this would have been a special place to the traditional owners of the land - it is indeed still a very special place, if not made a little more special by it's rare nature in this area.
The cache was found after a 5 minute search around GZ. I didn't really trust the GPS due to tree cover, and so began searching all of the obvious places, however the coords were dead-on when i finally made the find.
Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful place Ron.haha, and TFTC! A definite favourite for me!

My son works in the area and told me about some caches that are around this area
Parked at the end of Barry Road so I could do the 3 in the area
A nice walk along the path and a detour down to GZ
The creek is a nice spot in this area and a quick find even with the camo
All good at GZ TFTC

Finished up the week at work so I went for a few caches on the way home, bit hot though...
We grew up in Reservoir and used to ride our motorbikes up through here, oh, about 40 years ago. Don't remember it being this pretty. Quick find today.
**Thanks for placing this cache Ron.haha**

So, Ron ... in between the rusty bridge and here I dnf'd another cache, so I was feeling a bit deflated. I cycled past an old man who was resting on a bench, and found where the track goes down. As I went I could see two shapes in the grass, but only just... like watching a couple of brown dolphins *just* breach the waves and back down again. Then they emerged: two mahoosive brown kangaroos bounded right across my path and down the bank. I tentatively followed, concerned my bike would skid or slip on the loose gravel, and I'd fall. When I got there the two Roos went right past me again, following the creek upstream, and there, nestled in the flattened grass was a couple of piles of gently steaming poop. So you brought me to a Roo Loo ...a Roo poo loo... thanks for that
I went down to the edge of the creek - that's really nice! I had no idea! I wandered around for a bit, determined to not dnf again and was relieved to find the cache (Especially in this uber snake type environment)
I decided to push Zenobia the bike up the gravely Hill. I decided with all this mediocre sportsing I had better be a size 8 by the time I got home. Or at the very least, burnt enough calories for a sandwich.
See you anon, Ron

Found on a wet and windy day. Great rock features along the creek. Kangaroos, wallabies and Fairy Wrens. I can see how this would have been a special place for the Traditional owners of this great land of ours. TFTC.
Another day, another cache, on the current run of 29 days getting a cache. We decided to take the geokid and geodog for a walk and what a great walk it was. The parking spot was a bit poor with rubbish but once we were beyond that, it was great to see the Merri Creek flowing well. The geodog even decided to go for a swim in the water that was moving a bit fast.
Lovely bit of history and it was great to show one of the geokids the creek I use to play around as a kid. Thanks for bring us here.
Found by Team Justice #1155.

This was a longer walk from the rusty bridge than I expected. Should have bought the bike. Stumbled over the rocks and edged past the camp fire (?) for a neat find at 15:35. The creek was flowing well but the cache is well out of the way if it floods. TFTC
Found another Cache nearby that I'd been wanting to find for years, so decided to get this one too while I had my son with me. He rode his bike here about a month ago and knew the area so brought me back here. There were 3 guys on the other side of the creek when we got there, which made it difficult. But then my son noticed one of them had a Sistema Container so I yelled out to them to see if they were Geocaching. They said yes, come over. So we jumped over the creek (which I wouldn't advise as it was running pretty hard and I nearly fell in). Once we got over I asked where the Geocache was and they looked at me with blank faces. I pointed out their container and they said they were smoking weed!!!! Oh no!!! Before I could retreat they asked me about Geocaching. They were very excited as I explained it to them, then they wanted to help find the Cache. They came back over the creek (my son got wet this time) and helped me find it. They were suitably impressed. Then they left and I signed the log. Great camo by the way. Might have a few converts to the game too. TFTC Ron.haha. This one gets a favourite point from me. Great spot (when there's no one smoking around).
We had decided to tackle both caches in the area from this side of the creek and after a pleasant though chilly walk to the gz we were greeted with a great little area to check out and explore. The cache was soon located thanks to spot on co-ord's, thanks Ron.haha for the cache and for showing us this area. Also spotted a massive mob of kangaroos on the move out in the open grass lands, it was quite a sight.

Out and about on this cold winters Sunday with Happy Pants smashing some caches.
Couldn't believe how hard it was to find a parking spot in the nearby street on a Sunday arvo.
After a short walk down a steep hill we soon had the log signed.
Cheers for the cache

Loads of water in the creek after the recent rain. Never been to this park before. Tftc
Walked past it, but then wondered about what has been used previously for hiding caches.
A great day to be out here. Heaps of clean water flowing in the creek.
Similar to a spot out the back of Sunbury: a part of Holden Rederve, Jacksons Creek.
Great spot. TFTC

3:03:00 PM. Waiting to pick up our caravan nearby we made the short walk to GZ. At least it had stopped raining. Better half made the find and the log was signed. The creek was running well from all the rain. Thanks Ron.haha for placing this cache.
After a morning of caching by bicycle in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, I came past here on my way home.
Couldn't have imagined how beautiful this place is, tucked behind houses and industry... It's like you've stepped into the middle of lerdy.
Haven't given out a favourite point in a long time, but this place couldn't go without one.

Heading south after a most enjoyable morning, completing the current Mt Disappointment series in the good company of Suscoe we made a detour off the Hume to collect a few joint unfound caches. This one was the perfect end to the day - a delightful hidden location and very sneaky hide. It is not often we meet other cachers in the field, as we approached GZ we thought we may have been muggled out. But no - other people were on the same mission as us. Images attached.
Our thanks to Ron.haha.

Suscoe headed north this morning in the very good company of Phetlern on a day out to the Mt Disappointment Drive and then later on we headed back towards the south picking up a few caches.
It was a magnificent day with clear skies and delightful late mid Autumn sunshine.
Well the sun was getting lower in the sky as we arrived here.
A delightful walk to GZ and a surprise meet with a young geocacher who hew about this cache but hadn't found it yet.
So we spread out and soon a familiar call went out "found it".
So the log was signed and we then enjoyed the location a good bit more.
What a great spot hidden down in this valley.
Thanks to Ron.haha for this selection of a location.

Everything seems ok with the cache.
Lovely place but would be better after some much needed rain.
Hoped and it looked like rain today but NOT AS YET.

Kids loved the area and tried very hard and long to catch the lizards, but the little creatures were too fast. Thanks for taking us to an area I would have otherwise not known existed. Great find too.
very secluded area, but did find the cache lovely hide, and on way back to Barry's road, did also spy the Platypus feeding along the edge of creek, nice to know they are still enjoying these peaceful waterways
Thanks for placing this cache, and bringing me to this place

What a great spot, absolutely mesmerising with the water, bush etc. clever hide in plain view. Thanks 4 Bringing me here. Easy fav.
Today we explored Campbellfield and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Cool little cache. Sat by the creek for a good half hour and saw a few lizards and a lot of tadpoles. It's a really nice place, TFTC
I was here a few nights ago but gave up due to lack of a torch, a magical spot and even though I've found it, I'll be visiting here again to do some exploring. Took me a while but it's quite obvious after the fact...the clues are there. TFTC!
Time for a few caches after work meetings. Nice one! Definitely a spot that I never would have visited if it wasn't for geocaching. And what a special spot it is. Took a little while to spot the little cache. Didn't spot any wild life up close but there was a tiny bird which had a big voice nearby. No finds here since June and interesting to see that the last logger was a cacher from NZ too. TFTC, Biggles.
Thanks for placing a cache here and telling me some of the history. An amazing area that you wouldn't normally get to see. Didn't see any wildlife today tho....it must have been too cold!!
Another Monday and what a cold one it was, we clocked up a few KM's tonight finishing some Mulits and a couple of puzzles that have been in the solved pile for some time. Thanks Ron.haha for the cache.
Another cold Monday night see's Rebel Acts and I on the trail looking for plastic. A small haul was made due to the number of multi's , muggles and tricky hides. Finally got here to collect. Thanks.

I met up with Day1976 for an afternoon and evening of caching. We decided to start north east of the city and work our way west towards an event we were going to attend later that night at Point Cook. The weather had looked a bit ominous earlier on but held off for us and it was actually pretty mild all evening.
As we made our way west we spotted two caches in the Galada Parklands and thought why not go for a walk. Parking at the end of Barry Rd we made our way to 'The Rusty Bridge' first before making our way back and then onto this cache. It was a bit tricky to work out the way to GZ as it was dark but a bit of bush bashing at the end and we had the cache. Cool location and thanks.

Took the afternoon off work to catch up with Quasar3671 for a bit fo a caching run through the northern suburbs. After a moderate bush bash in the dark to the cache, we found the path that we were probably supposed to be on. Found the cache quickly, signed the log and then moved on. Used the proper path to return to the car though.

Came back today with a friend, determined to find this one. Stopped going around in circles and looked just outside where I had been looking. This makes find #100 and what a beautiful spot to mark the occasion.
Absolutely gorgeous location. Had the geokid with me and after 30 minutes searching he wanted to go home. We WILL be back!
Brief search before I stumbled into the cache, parked nearby , short walk to a location I never knew existed TFTC
Wow what a spot love the place almost gave up but finaly got it after 30 minutes
Loved the location especially the parkour action over the creek when we wern't sure where it was. Spotted some Kangaroos and weird looking goats 100 from the location.
Found this cache and amazing place today. This was the first of my run targeting specific terrain and size caches around Broadmeadows and Epping. I had initially come here a couple of weeks ago and then decided very stupidly on that occasion not to get out from the geocar. Today I walked to this cache from the car and marvelled at the views. As I got to the cache location, I was absolutely blown away by the beauty around here. The actual cache took me ages to find and I found myself walking in circles for a while before finally almost giving up and then I looked in a slightly different direction and there was the cache waiting to be found and the log signed. Signed log today.
This cache gets a favourite point for the incredible location. Thanks for bringing me here and the cache Ron.haha.

I was with Ron.haha yesterday at the Watsonia Library meet and greet, he was a little worried about this cache after the fire so I told him I'll go and check it out for him, as he is recovering for foot surgery. So today I took along "Lost Lochie" for walkies, parked near Rusty Bridge and followed the path to the GZ. The fire stopped just the other side of the creek at the GZ. Safe from that fire but there is still a lot of dry grass on the cache side of the creek. Found the cache after the GPS settled and signed the log. and returned to the car.
Thanks Ron.haha for bringing me to a area unknown to me.

Didn't find this time. Lost my gps a while back and haven't really cached since, but got the bug over the weekend. I-phone is not yet set up for caching, so will try again once it is, but it had us in the rough area.
Lovely spot for a late afternoon walk with geo-pup, before picking hubbie up from work nearby.
Bonus was spotting of an adorable little echidna, and I think they had some others nearby judging by the similar rustling.
Will attempt this again soon. In the mean time, thank you for pointing out a lovely spot that I assumed wasteland

Really nice spot, the creek was burbling busily beside the search area. Approached the hide from the wrong direction and found a very nicely camoed container. Well done! Followed a (surprisingly) very distinct geotrail out. Enjoyed the run today very much. Thanks.
I had to make a trip to Melbourne for some personal and family business, and was lucky enough to be able to make aroun 35 finds during my 4 days of travelling around both in and around the Melbourne area and up towards Tocumwal. Plenty to get and turn into smiley faces. Good to be able to return to the old stomping ground and get some finds. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Great walk to this one, but my appologies, although I did find it and have a pic to proove so, I lost my pen on the walk in. I hope if you require it, that a photo log is sufficent. Awesomly found spot i have to say, and a fav given for the obscure location. TFTC.

I'd been out until late last night, and enjoyed a fairly lazy late lunch with the family, not intending to go anywhere today... but who can resist when a new hide pops up only a few klicks from home?
Parking at one of the recommended spots, I took the short walk to this surprising, picturesque location, and had sussed out what I was looking for. Could I find it, though? Not before I had company, with the arrival of two-thirds of the bananas.
Joint **FTF** with Archie and B1... I should have seen the blasted thing before then, but sometimes it takes a couple of sets of eyes soon. Thanks, B1, for the gift of my 20th. And Ron.haha for highlighting such a pretty little gem of a site, and for the clever camo job.
Oh, and happy birthday, Archie.

Turned the wrong way and missed the track at first before spying the way in from above and coming back for an easy walk down to GZ. Finding a micro in this environment was a bit challenging, but eventually got on the right angle and spotted it. My iPad was telling me that the cache was 10m from the listed coordinates, increasing the difficulty again, so I was glad to have it in hand at 11:20am. It is certainly a nice spot along the creek.
thanks Ron.haha

Archie, it is your birthday today and as a 56 year old you were running around like an 8 year old. Oh that is right you are an eight year old. Well with the temptation of rabbits and babling brooks to distract an attempt was made at this first to find.
To late ......for the prince of the parks ... Mark was already there and conversation was struck up about everything in the world that matters. This lasted for the next few hours as reluctantly the find was made as an embarrassed joint Find. Never done this sort of thing with company before.
Ron.haha has done the right thing here to not only provide a beautifully safe venue but also a treasure so well hiden that a visit here needs to be made to show how well somethings can be hiden.
The bananas have been doing this sport for a little bit now and still are facinated by the simple things to disguise.
Put down a favourite even if just for the memories of finding this one in good company. Mark down another First to Find.
Anyway Archie didn't catch a rabbit nor have a swim but did have as much fun as this banana.
