First cache for the day. It took a while to spot and once we had found an environmental TOTT nearby it was retrieved signed and returned.A day out in the suburbs and surrounds of Armidale as we searched for caches, and completed the two Ad Labs. Met a few lovely people on the way on a cool day but with only light winds. The caching was at times time consuming but we enjoyed the variety of walking we did in between sections in the car.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache geono..**SKI Pair****
Almost ditched this one when we saw something a bit out of place a little way away from coords. Tftc.
Sure helps to be tall – or be able to climb. Spotted it and the brave one ventured skywards. TFTC
Generational differences made the hint useless. A recent log was useful and the signal on the device helped narrow the search area. I had to use a TOTT to remove and replace the cache from its resting place.

Staying in Armidale to cache for a few days.
Parked at the nearby church and after a small climb had cache in hand
Thanks for the cache

Day 2 of 3 of our Caboolture South to Armidale trip.
Now that’s we’ve had some decent sleep from our long, exhausting drive we decided to stay local-ish and head down to Uralla first thing to grab some of those high favourite point caches then made our way back to Armidale and explored the town while grabbing a bunch of caches along the way.
I must say we absolutely love Armidale and it has everything one would need to live here. We may have joked around about moving here and ditching the kids, I guess we can all dream.
A big thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining their caches.
Thanks for bringing us here.

After a solid half an hour of searching, finally found it. But I only had a pencil, so my names faint. Might come back and mark it properly, but still a great cache. TFTC.
Crookedpete and I were given leave passes from our respective families for the Easter long weekend for a geocaching road trip. I suspect that this was our families' Easter present to themselves to have a weekend alone without our company .
As members of The Bromance geocaching collective, we are a rather contrarian bunch, so while the main geocaching action was apparently up north over Easter we decided to instead head south from Brisbane. Our main focus was on caches with lots of favourites, good DT combinations, high elevation or sitting sad and neglected with no visitors for an extended period.
After heading out to Invergowrie and looping west down to Bendemeer and then up to Uralla this morning, we headed back into Armidale late this afternoon to work on our to-do list in town.
It was well after dark by the time we reached this one so the search was conducted with the aid of our head torches. Boy oh boy did we spend some time searching for this one. Maybe daylight would have helped rather than hunting in the pitch dark. I think we managed to check every tree in a square mile radius at least half a dozen times. I was well and truly ready to call it quits on this one when Crookedpete became the star of the show and called out the find, a little way off where we had been focusing our attention earlier. TFTC

Instead of heading mega north to Townsville for Easter, Seffnjarah and I planned a long weekend road trip south to Armidale and surrounds doing some bushwalks whilst targeting puzzles, EC's, unloved caches, high favourite points and some higher elevation caches.
After a full day caching in the region, we returned to Armidale late afternoon, with the plan to clean up some local caches in town, grab a snitty at the RSL, perhaps a few more late night caches and then hit the swag.
Last one before dinner and it sure put up a fight in the dark. After a very long methodical search, I was getting a bit hangry - you know - micros in the bush and query the CO's heritage and all that. Eventually I spotted it - a little higher than I had been expecting and maybe 6 or 7 metres (and about 1000 trees) from where the GPS wanted us to search tonight. Snitty and schooner time!
Many thanks geono
Pete

On a maintenance check today found the cache was missing. Replaced.. same cache, same hide.
We thought we would travel to Armidale for some morning Caching.
This is a great walking track and a fun little hide amongst the trees. A very relaxing stroll too and around GZ.
Many thanks for bringing us here.

Wandered into this lovely little grove of gum trees and spent a bit of time searching, then the AHA! moment. Gunna need a TOTT, lucky we had one hand. Great hide, thanks geono
Luckily I had just what we needed in the car, have used it a bit this trip. Nice container. TFTC
Apologies to the previous searcher... the cache was missing. Replaced in a slightly different hide but at the same co-ordinates. The D/T has changed to reflect this move.
Unsure where it could be checked every tree, found some broken wire on one of them?

We had a great day caching along the bike track. GeoPa (jasmr) with the geograndkids DandCEWR and DandCTPR rode our bikes with FurstyFerret. Geono did a great job setting up all these caches - thanks!

A little bit of busy bashing before we had a small startle and realised we’d got it. Another great one geono!
Decided to go for a bike ride to work off Christmas lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the cycle along the waterway and we found most of the caches. There was a great variety of hides and we had stay focus to find some of them.

Creepy little cache that’s pretty invisible unless you’re specifically looking for it. Found at 6m off.
Approached this one while avoiding all those scratchy, low, dead branches. A novel hide. Thanks geono
Oooh clever! Quick find. We walk past here all the time so thought we would check it out this afternoon . TFTC Geono!
Doing a bit of a round trip from Lake Macquarie to Tamworth and Armidale and surrounds, Walcha, Gloucester. and back home. Made me look twice, nice camo. TFTC geono.

A quiet walk along the bike path to GZ where cache found safe and dry. Thanks geono..
We had to search around a bit with jumpy GPSrs but spotted the obvious camo after a while. I wasn't touching THAT so The Marble did the honours. Walking back to the car the long way, because our car gps thought the bike way was a road, we at least got to check out the impressive ivy creeping up the grove of trees to our left. TFTC, geono.. =^.^=
New England Roadtrip day 1: Brisbane to Armidale via Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield and Glen Innes. After arriving in Armidale and finding the target I came for late in the afternoon, it was time to check in to my accommodation. After a nice hot shower, I headed out into the freezing night for a bite to eat and to find a few more hides.
Even with a good hint, it took a while to find by torchlight. Nice guardian, as it turns out my next find gave me a live encounter with the same creature [^].
Thanks **geono.** for bringing us here, this find makes #3783. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

On my way to Brisbane from Canberra to do some work on a house. A quick find, TFTC.
Ha Ha great one TFTC Geono, A nice walk along the track and a small detour and soon had this one in hand
Nice walk along the track with a brief stop at the blackberry bush, I love blackberries. Now into the trees. found cache easy enough. Great camo. I'm looking for one of those for a cache myself. Hoping to get the same reaction that i performed on seeing yours. Thanks for that. fav from me.
Revisited with geogransons Hamish

Did not find this one during an early morning solo bike ride from the Showground to UNE. I wasn't too keen to trample around under the trees and some early morning muggles on the path started to give me some funny looks. I will be back!
closest cache near us. We took the dog for a walk after today's rainstorm, he loved it. Tftc!
