Having a great walk through the Sturt Gorge area with a group of 11 like minded people. We stopped for a breather here and I muttered the words 'I wonder if there is a cache here'..And there was! Kudos goes to one of the muggles who actually made the discovery.Tftc Radneys

23-Jul-22
Nice easy find! Great way to finish off a little walk in the gorge, having not visited this area before being a mountain biking family… good to get to know about the history!

23-Nov-21
Today the aim was to clear the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park of the few remaining traditionals that I had left to find. It took three and a half hours and two walks but I left the area with mission accomplished and my cardio exercise done.
This one was the second found on the second walk. The cachers signpost made for a quick find here.
Thanks to The Radneys for putting out this cache for me to find, and thanks for not putting it in the ruins and helping to preserve them for the future.

This morning g I had 2 hours to kill before work so decided to go for a nice walk around the local area where I am currently staying. What a stunning day!

I continued my walk along the rover from the previous cache, this one was a quick find but if the grass was long it may take some time. Cache is all good

Thanks for the cache

Over the past few weeks I have been caching after dropping off daughter at Flinders Uni. Kept seeing the same name in the logs. AnyMules. So gave him a call and we teamed up to do some caching together today. Cool Had a great day, doing some 'out of the way' caches. Although I only got 10 smilies I left 5 fav points on the caches. That would have to be the highest ratio ever. [^]
Down, down down we went. Then we crossed the raging torrent and up to the ruin. A very quick search and the cache was in AnyMules hands. Smile Might just have to find another one whilst we are down here. Thanks The Radneys. Great spot. Big Grin

I could win an award for most caches found but not logged online. Please forgive this very generic log. If I admired your cache you'll get a favourite point from me and I'll likely come back and edit this log once I've caught up. If this generic log makes you unhappy - delete it. Life's too short to worry over it, I had fun finding your cache either way. Smile Cheers!

17-Nov-15
An awesome location - great walk and interesting ruins.

07-Apr-14
A nice and easy walk down, not so easy on the way back. Thanks The Radneys.

24-Mar-14
Mr Tardis needed a cache for today and this one was the one to do. A nice walk down in an area I haven't explored before. A good cache placement away from the ruin to prevent it being pulled apart by geocachers.

I must come back and walk the tracks through here one day.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache The Radneys.

28-Feb-14
Found after a very steep hike down the hill while passing through the area today. Nicely placed without compromising the structure of the ruin. Thanks for the cache Radneys!

16-Feb-14
Interesting walk down steep slippery hill. Incredible that someone built here! TFTC.

14-Dec-13
TFTC!! Smile

18-Nov-13
Couldn't find! Must be pretty well hidden. Looked in all the suspect places. GZ marker must be slightly off, and it points to a flat bit of ground with no hiding places...

05-Nov-13
That would be a mean ride down the hill to creek. I hope your brakes work. Well done for not hiding in the ruin. Favourite from me.

03-Nov-13
Was looking out for snakes today as it was warm and perfect for the litle buggers to be out and about. Saw nothing, which is good and also found a cache. Took TB.

03-Nov-13
A lovely stroll in the cool of the evening about 60 mins before the sun sank low into the west. I never knew this was here. (pic)

My unit had me on the building. Players, it's not there, don't disturb any rocks please (the hint escaped me at the time).

TFTC to The Radneys from TeamAstro.

25-Oct-13
Dropped off TB.

24-Oct-13
I thought that I was fit but the walk out had me puffing because I chose a steeper walk. Where was my piggyback ride??? Wink Lol... Thanks for the walk.

Thanks The Radneys for the cache Smile

21-Oct-13
Had a very pleasant walk to this one after finding your other cache nearby. Good location! Nice to see that there has been some preservation work done. Thanks for the cache!

18-Oct-13
Didn't even realise this one was published last night, and heading home saw that it was still not logged, stopped by of course! Smile
We took the shorted DOWNHILL option, which necessitated piggybacking the lil one back up the hill.
What a great spot for a cache, if only those walls could talk.
Another spot that would not have known about if not for geocaching!
Left the swaps in the car, so only took the FTF prize.
Lovely spot.
Dropping my FTF coin through too.
Thanks

*FTF*
