Although I have been in the area a few times before this cache is not one that had caught my attention before. Well initially I thought that it was one that I had visited but well no it wasn't. I worked it out as I was driving around the estate it did not look familiar.
I am not quite sure what inspired me to park where I did but by chance it was the best spot and a short wander from the car across to the cache. It was while I was looking in one spot that I noticed it out of the corner of my eye. A similar container to another find a little while ago, but still quite apt for this hide.

Another late log ,after a little bit of looking around had a bit of a look UP and down and soon had cache in hand
Geoson2 found this one despite lack of GPS, TFTC. Forgot our pencil so will have to log it on another visit.
Should we go left or right? Needless to say we spotted the cache.... From the wrong side of the pond... Doh. As we wandered around looking for this one a huge water dragon raced down from further up the bank, right across Sal's feet and dove into the water... Her shriek sent the ducks flying... Lol. Thanks Pigwig2, for placing the 469th cache we've found so far!
thanks for checking Pigwig - I didn;t mean to send you out there
I needed to log the DNF because I think that is best (so other cachers don't feel too stupid when they don;t find it either)

Hmm. This was apparently not my day for PigWig caches. Nevertheless the big spread of green grass and the peaceful water gave me a breath of fresh country air. So I will be back to try for this one another day.
Found with Bedmaker while on the Gold Coast today.
We'd arrived at another beautiful spot in this area. The GPS had us on the wrong side of the pond. We looked across the pond and spied something a little odd and realised our mistake. Back around we went and scared a flock of ducks on approach. Very cool container Pigwig2!

Found with Tassiegirl13 while down the Gold Coast for some fun and caching.
What a beautiful little spot, of course the GPS led us to the wrong side which we soon discovered when we could see the cache over on the other side.
Around we walked and once at GZ we quickly had the cache in hand and log book duties done.
TFTC.

I parked the car on Ginger Rodgers Road and walked to towards the cache..... Ginger Rodgers once said "I try to feed my hunger rather than my appetite" but I am not sure if she was talking about ducks, oranges or Duck a l'Orange when she said that.
After a bit of cache blindness I looked the right way and spotted the cache.
Thanks for the cache and nice work on the camo Pig wig.
Cheers!!
While signing the log, one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

We looked around at GZ for a few minutes, Mr. Herbz standing atop the little termite nest to get a better view. However, Mrs. Herbz spied it first and said, "Orange you going to grab that cache then?" Mr. Herbz just didn't see it. TFTC Pigwig2.
I have never been able to eat duck as we rescued one once. It used to sit under my desk and nestle in at my feet as I worked. Even my husband grew fond of it. It survived until one day the german shepherds of the house decided that enough duck loving had been going on and they decided Duck sans l'Orange would be on their menu one night. They only managed one chomp but that was enough for a full duck burying ceremony to ensue. Thanks Pigwig2 for the duck, children, marriage and shepherd memories.
Went for a run down to Mt Barney. Thought a nice country drive was just the thing to show a prospective new cacher. I had with me my oldest Daughter's boyfriend, who wanted to come out for the day and see what it was all about. He enjoyed a day of driving around, some walks, an Earth Cache at a fanstastic spot, and an improvised BBQ lunch at a Cemetery ( I forgot the frying pan ). A couple of the kids tagged along, as per normal for me. In all a top day. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Had an idea of what I was looking for here, one of two things... It was the second thing..... Nice hide. TFTC.

Next we went to here the boy stayed with the car, us girls made our way to the cache. I commented on the ibis that were in the area ratdog found the cache and left it for me to retrieve. Yes we saw some ducks and i think Bliss Baby was going to count the ibis for the national ibis counting day we thought was also today.

Not many ducks today, a few cockatoos though, good cache pig wig, much quicker find than the previous. Tftc.
AH L'Orange!!! Nice simple one thanks Ms Wig.
We had spent way too much time searching for Under & Over with Ms Wig & others so we needed a sweetener to take away the sour.
So we bid Ms Wig and the others fair well and headed off to grab this one of hers.
Well after going to the wrong side of the lake and Miss Youngest Geo Girl spotting the cache from the wrong side the girls headed off at a pace for true GZ.
Geo Wife & I headed after them in a more leasurely manner and rescued them because they had gone without a writing impliment.
Thanks Ms Wig But I don't we'll be having duck for tea tonight (maybe the Chicken)

I was heading over here tonight to grab a FTF so I thought I'd kill two caches with one visit. As I was heading along Maudsland Rd I could see the bush fires on the hills of Clagiraba. It was lighting up the night sky with a cool orange glow. Not so cool over there though. Knowing theres a Clagiraba Rural Fire Brigade the brain started jumping from one thought to another and I eventually remembered a cache called Lenny.
Those guys are worth their weight in gold.
I Founder my way around to the other side and parked up. Walked over in the near pitch black as I needed to save my torch battery but nearly tripped over as the ground started going upwards without notice. Nearly at GZ and the phone rings, its my Mum. "What are you up to?" Ahh nothing. After a short conversation about the family tree it was back to business. I soon Founder the cache hiding in its cool camo. Added my name in second place then got out before the mozzies carried me back to their cave.
Thanks again Pigwig2 for the four new ones in the area

Sitting down to a cup of tea and a piece of freshly cooked banana bead I noticed I had a few emails. Two new caches had been published.
This one was a lot closer and since it will soon be school pick up time thiis seemed the better option.
I have been out here before but never stopped at the lake. It is lovely and quiet here not a muggle insight or sound today.
I can't say I've ever had duck a l'orange before but I found this one quite enjoyable.
A FTF for me today at 2.08pm

Out checking out Ms Wigs latest caches in the area. Quite a warm day, but enjoyed the views here on the approach.
At GZ I spotted something that seemed very appropriate to the name!
Thanks Ms Wig.
