Came back to avenge a DNF and found it almost immediately looked like cash had been removed from wherever it was supposed to be. Theres a hole in the top so Im worried about water damage. I placed it back how I found it but definitely needs to be checked on.
A quick find in amongst the trees. A couple of days on the other side of metropolis in the company of TeamAstro. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Stay on track please. A great trail. No horses seen - just evidence Thanks BorisB&Natasha and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! | | I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
Having a few days on the peninsula, I headed out on the bike from Merricks to cache this trail. My device had me a little too far west, but with the hint, I soon made the find. The lid is broken, and the adhesive remnants suggest something has been removed. Tucked away as it is, the contents are in good order and the log is dry which is more than can be said for this section of sloppy trail. TFTC BorisB&Natasha
I was on the Mornington Peninsula for an afternoon's caching... with a priority to complete the *Mornington Railway* series. With that task completed, I decided to continue with a railway theme for the remainder of the afternoon... and make a start on this **Red Hill Express** series. Setting out from Red Hill, I enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the rail trail... stopping off for caches when there were no muggles about. The caches were all easy enough to find and in good condition. Thanks **BorisB&Natasha** for the cache... and the series.
Our last find for today. The kids were starting to get restless, and rain was getting a bit heavier. A quick one, and in good condition.
Found quickly. There was a bit of a crack in the cache container, but we loved the clever camouflage. TFTC!
The cache is in pretty good condition, but you must be careful as there is a bird nest right above it!
After reading the logs and thankfully someone was missing the was quickly to hand present TFTC
Unfortunately no luck I think I found the hollow, but I did have a Birdsnest in.definitely will be coming back for this one to see if I missed anything.
While searching for this one we found a little cluster of birds eggs! This was obviously very exciting for the geokids (and for us), but it did give us pause as to whether we should be scrambling around inside the tree. There was no sign of a mumma bird, but we didn't want to disturb the area too much just in case. Unfortunately this meant that we also didn't find thee cache. We have a sneaky suspicion - we'll just have to come back in a few months time.
Think we found the right spot but not so keen to check the hollow with a mumma bird on guard. Will have to come back to this one.
Dropped wife and friends for a lunch at nearby Montalto, so had a few hours to kill. Wandering down the trail searching for a few caches seemed like a good idea! Found this one fairly quickly.
This end of the trail is like chalk and cheese with the other end. If you walked it all in one go you might not notice the difference, but if you did half from each end the difference is obvious.
Where did the comparison between chalk and cheese come from? One of those items was used on blackboards, if you are old enough, or more importantly used by Mrs Marsh to show how liquid can stain your teeth or some sh&t. The other is glorious fun that goes with wine.
How are wine and toothpaste on the same spectrum like chalk and cheese? Sometimes I think I need to stop drinking wine when I write logs because I create too much head noise thinking about irrelevant stuff. Also Mrs Marsh in the old Colgate commercial I just watched on YouTube was a MILF. tftc

Walking parts of the Red Hill rail trail today, were some great caches found along the way. This one was nicely, almost misses it. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for placing and maintaining the the cache.
Finally, a day organised just for caching with day1976, originally had been planning Narbethong unloved but the constant rain would have been awful for bush bashing and for my little 4wd.
So picked a different direction, which the weather forecast said no rain, and the rain tapered off as we arrived.
A great series of caches, the longest walk I've done in some time-4hrs, 15km and about 24 caches, all excellent hides.

For the first time in ages, Ilukaperi and I caught up for a days caching. Originally we had planned on going out east to Warburton way, but siginificant rain on the 4WD tracks made us reconsider. As we had never really cached much on the peninsula, we decided to head down here and the Red Hill Express caches became a high priority.
We found everyone in this series, with only one not being able to be signed (I have sent a message to the CO regarding that one).
Found easily given the hint, TFTC!

Today ManfredWolfgang, Earthbound Chief, the Shouty Spoodle and myself went on a mini hike to find some caches along the Red Hill trail. Manfred was very appreciative of all the new spots to sniff. He was not so appreciative having to constantly pose for his Instagram pics .
Thanks for the awesome caches, BorisB&Natasha, I’m just adding a favourite point for all.

Did some caching along this great trail during our australia holidays. Thanks for maintaining. TFTC
Our GPS was bouncing us all over the place. The cache was on the high side of track but phone was taking us to the low side. The container has a crack in the lid but everything inside was dry. TFTC!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

I finally found one before geo dad!!! Sent me in and success. Loving this trail. Great day out. TFTC
Took a bit longer not looking at all levels, got bitten by something on my knee that had me momentarily distracted and panicked was glad to have the gloves handy for this cache retrieval.

A quick find! Thanks for the interesting caches along the walk this afternoon!
Thanks for yet another cache this morning, which I found without too much trouble tftc
Perfect weather to be out on the bikes along this scenic trail made this a very enjoyable day, and the quality of hides from the CO’s are as usual, outstanding.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache and this series.

With so many caches in this series, I don’t remember each of them individually, so please accept this generic log.
Juzzmagic, Knight_shift and I met up at Engine House, before travelling downhill, to make pedalling easier. We only encountered one hill that needed to be climbed as we progressed, enjoying some lovely views of the properties we were passing.
A couple of fresh log sheets were left, where the existing ones were full.
We were lucky with the weather, as showers had been forecast, but it was ideal for our ride.
Thanks for this series, BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Loving the ride. Light is starting to fade but we will persist. Quick find here. TFTC
Another one down fun little find, the container does have a hole in the lid exposing the log book but log book was dry
Out for a walk this morning enjoying the nice weather, little chilly but perfect for walking. Out to complete the whole trail, thanks for placing all these caches!
Brother started searching around the wrong spot, and I quickly found it. Thanks for the cache from M + S
