Starting to see a few horses grazing in their paddocks in this section. There was a particularly chubby horse resting under a pine tree here. More Muggle dog walkers so had to be very stealthy. There was also a man working in his shed right near cache so there was lots of creeping happening. Found the cache and I was on my way.
Found quickly, beware the spider that has made itself at home next to the cache. Found with Friend23, TFTC!
A couple of days on the other side of metropolis in the company of TeamAstro. Loving the wander along these trailsThanks BorisB&Natasha for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Not taking sides here. A great trail. No horses seen - just evidence Thanks BorisB&Natasha and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! | | I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
Having a few days on the peninsula, I headed out on the bike from Merricks to cache this trail. I had located this cache and was signing the log when a bearded fellow appeared suddenly. "Geocaching?" he enquired. I confessed I was. He was searching for shrooms, but had inadvertantly found a number of caches over the years. I was definitely having a better strike rate for finding than he was today. All in good dry condition. TFTC BorisB&Natasha
I was on the Mornington Peninsula for an afternoon's caching... with a priority to complete the *Mornington Railway* series. With that task completed, I decided to continue with a railway theme for the remainder of the afternoon... and make a start on this **Red Hill Express** series. Setting out from Red Hill, I enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the rail trail... stopping off for caches when there were no muggles about. The caches were all easy enough to find and in good condition. Thanks **BorisB&Natasha** for the cache... and the series.
Very well camouflaged. Suspicious spot with a suspicious object led me right to the cache. TFTC!
This was our last cache to find in this series and after a pleasant chat with a muggle and pats with her 3 doggies we quickly found the cache, which was about 7 metres off coordinates. We send a big thanks to borisb&natasha&nut bear for this fabulous series. The themed caches are very appreciated. We live on the other side of the peninsula and this lovely track is a great escape from the summer tourists.PS. The log is wet.
Found with icw. The container was out in the open so once the log was signed we hid it nearby in a place that matched its camouflage. Tftc.
Found this one really quickly. Unfortunately the lid has not been closed properly so the contents is quite wet
After two previous DNFs we were a bit worried about out geocaching abilities. After a brief search we found this one and so we're feeling a little more back in the groove. Another terrific hide. Another favourite point from us.
With dot 558 and mitzi123456 to complete the trail
Log was soaking
Put back in double back
Thanks for the trail

Quick find by Midaho after some time searching the wrong side of the track. TFTC!
Dropped wife and friends for a lunch at nearby Montalto, so had a few hours to kill. Wandering down the trail searching for a few caches seemed like a good idea! Found this one fairly quickly. Great camo!!
We had seen lots of people today but this was the first time we were caught in the act looking for a cache. An elderly couple walked by and instead of asking if we were OK screwed their nose up and gave us the stank eye.
To Mrs Woodyrothwell that was like waving a red flag in front of a bull, and bull is her nickname to no one ever. She went straight up to them and explained what we were doing. Suddenly instead of 4 eyes there were 8 eyes looking for the hide.
We were able to show some newbies what geocaching was all about but when they turned their noses up at us again and left we knew we hadn’t converted some newcomers to the religion. tftc

Walking parts of the Red Hill rail trail today, were some great caches found along the way. I had a preconceived idea of what this one might be .. Wrong! So the search took a little longer than it should have. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for placing and maintaining the cache. A favourite point given today.
For the first time in ages, Ilukaperi and I caught up for a days caching. Originally we had planned on going out east to Warburton way, but siginificant rain on the 4WD tracks made us reconsider. As we had never really cached much on the peninsula, we decided to head down here and the Red Hill Express caches became a high priority.
We found everyone in this series, with only one not being able to be signed (I have sent a message to the CO regarding that one).
I spotted this one from a different angle after Ilukaperi had already looked there.

Finally, a day organised just for caching with day1976, originally had been planning Narbethong unloved but the constant rain would have been awful for bush bashing and for my little 4wd.
So picked a different direction, which the weather forecast said no rain, and the rain tapered off as we arrived.
A great series of caches, the longest walk I've done in some time-4hrs, 15km and about 24 caches, all excellent hides.
Day1976 found this one, coming in from the other side than I did.

Today ManfredWolfgang, Earthbound Chief, the Shouty Spoodle and myself went on a mini hike to find some caches along the Red Hill trail. Manfred was very appreciative of all the new spots to sniff. He was not so appreciative having to constantly pose for his Instagram pics .
Thanks for the awesome caches, BorisB&Natasha, I’m just adding a favourite point for all.

Out and about caching with BeckNmonts, Manfred Wolfgang and jett_theshoutyspoodle….we planned a big walk for lazy legs today from Merricks to Red Hill.

I'm out on my Ebike along the trail today finding these great caches and yes the log was wet l just wiped it on my pants and I was able to add my signature... TFTC
Did some caching along this great trail during our australia holidays. Thanks for maintaining. TFTC
TFTC! There were two logs inside. Log #1 was a small notebook (and probably the cache original?) however it was saturated. It was inside a zip lock bag that was extremely wet inside and therefore making the log more wet. This log (#1) was too wet to sign. The second log #2 was a single piece of paper inside a different zip lock bag. This log (#2) was dry and we signed it. We left the wet log (#1) inside the container but OUTSIDE of the wet zip lock bag... I'm hoping it might dry out a bit. I hope this makes sense!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

This one was a bit tricky but a smile on our dial once it was found. A lot of effort has gone into creating this trail. For that we thank you

This one took a little while. First time was on the way up on the track but a couple of walkers each way we decided to look at on our way back. On the way back, looking on the wrong side, even then took another 10 minutes to find. Great camo!
Very nicely done!
Great effort and camo.. not much foliage here though but blends in so well.
Nearly had us!!!

Out with Crustyvarmint, juzzmagic and muggle Matt on the bikes today, I unfortunately didn’t take any notes of the hides or details, however, I do know that this cache was found, signed and replaced in a relatively short time.
As usual, great camo BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear. Cheers for this excellent series.

With so many caches in this series, I don’t remember each of them individually, so please accept this generic log.
Juzzmagic, Knight_shift and I met up at Engine House, before travelling downhill, to make pedalling easier. We only encountered one hill that needed to be climbed as we progressed, enjoying some lovely views of the properties we were passing.
A couple of fresh log sheets were left, where the existing ones were full.
We were lucky with the weather, as showers had been forecast, but it was ideal for our ride.
Thanks for this series, BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

A good bit of shelter for us as the rain came down. A quick find and a nice cache blending in beautifully. TFTC.
Happy to say we found the safe and sound if not a little bit damp. It is well camouflaged. TFTC
Looked at the wrong trees and side before making the find. Nice camo but logbook is wet.
Thanks another find . 7 2day so far. Log book very very wet. I have put it into a plastic bag
Clever disquise, unfortunately logbook is saturated. I don't have any spares on me. Can sign with permanent marker. Tftc
Out for a walk this morning enjoying the nice weather, little chilly but perfect for walking. Out to complete the whole trail, thanks for placing all these caches!
Quick easy find, awesome camo, logbook a bit wet doesn’t have any plastic bag in the cache, but thanks nonetheless )
