There are lots of grapes and blackberries in this section. Got a few scratches as I made my way to GZ. Another clever cache. Just love the diversity of all the cache housings and the effort the COs have put into this trail. Thanks BorisB&Natasha.
After wrestling the blackberries, we spotted something out of to usual so with a little look we had the cache in no time! Great hide! TFTC
A couple of days on the other side of metropolis in the company of TeamAstro. A great walking trail used by quite a few people. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
The Ukraine flag was out of stock. A great trail. No horses seen - just evidence Thanks BorisB&Natasha and clear skies from TeamAstro. Having a few days on the peninsula, I headed out on the bike from Merricks to cache this trail. I enjoy HIPS caches, and this one is well executed. The mounting is becoming a little loose, but it hasn't affected the cache or the finding. Had to negotiate the blackberries to get to GZ. TFTC BorisB&Natasha
We saw a suspicious object but we thought, surely that couldn't be it? Turns out, it was it. Very creative camo and construction, TFTC!
Awesome hide once again TFTC! Dont go to the exact location however be weary of the blackberry thorns!
Found with icw who spotted the disguised cache. Flag stops were common on rural railways where trains stopped only if requested. Intending passengers needed to follow local instructions to gain the train driver's attention, such as raising a flag or changing the direction of a metal sign. We didn't need to do any of that to find this cache. Tftc.
What a fantastic trail with individually themes caches. They are giving me so much pleasure. . This was a well constructed caxhe that was quickly found TFTC BorisB&Natasha
Back down the Peninsula. Out for an early walk along the Merricks Trail. Clever clever, took me two sweeps and it was a last minute find, phew. Thanks for placing this wonderful geo trail BorisB&Natasha #2151
Ive been meaning to complete this series for sometime and today was the day. Quite a few muggles on the trail today. This cache was a little different .. safe from muggles I guess. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for another great cache, a well deserved favourite point
We're getting into a bit of a groove now, but the geokids are getting hungry and demanding to know where daddy has gone. The answer? Back and then forward to meet us from the other end. There were plenty of blackberries brambles around, so I left them on the track while I went in to check out the suspicious looking thing. And what a suspicious looking thing! Definitely one of the best suspicious looking things I've seen in a long time.
Beaut day for a trail like this. Love them all - put caching with Kadsss and Flopott. TFTC!
One of the nearby property owners had decided it was time to burn off the fallen branches and other mayhem on their property. I have a smoker at home to slow cook some meat but this burn was like inhaling a thousand cigarettes at once (whatever that feels like).
The burn was right next to the trail and this cache was in the crosshairs. It wasn’t just smoke but ash floating in over the search area. After 69 seconds Mrs Woodyrothwell was out and walked away to get important things like oxygen.
The pressure was on and instead of taking my time I had to rush things because my lungs aren’t made of iron. The rush wasn’t helping so I was happy to eventually make the find. Hopefully smoke is like cologne and I don’t need to spend money for the next six months. tftc

Finally, a day organised just for caching with day1976, originally had been planning Narbethong unloved but the constant rain would have been awful for bush bashing and for my little 4wd.
So picked a different direction, which the weather forecast said no rain, and the rain tapered off as we arrived.
A great series of caches, the longest walk I've done in some time-4hrs, 15km and about 24 caches, all excellent hides.

For the first time in ages, Ilukaperi and I caught up for a days caching. Originally we had planned on going out east to Warburton way, but siginificant rain on the 4WD tracks made us reconsider. As we had never really cached much on the peninsula, we decided to head down here and the Red Hill Express caches became a high priority.
We found everyone in this series, with only one not being able to be signed (I have sent a message to the CO regarding that one).
Another nice one

Today ManfredWolfgang, Earthbound Chief, the Shouty Spoodle and myself went on a mini hike to find some caches along the Red Hill trail. Manfred was very appreciative of all the new spots to sniff. He was not so appreciative having to constantly pose for his Instagram pics .
Thanks for the awesome caches, BorisB&Natasha, I’m just adding a favourite point for all.

Out and about caching with BeckNmonts, Manfred Wolfgang and jett_theshoutyspoodle….we planned a big walk for lazy legs today from Merricks to Red Hill. Another one we almost overlooked, another “hang on moment” and the log was being signed.
No. 4 find on our impromptu geocache session featuring Ez

Had a good look around but couldn’t find this one. Blackberries made searching difficult.
I'm out on my Ebike along the trail today finding these great caches found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
Had to take a trip through blackberries to reach this one. Fun hide. TFTC!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Trying to estimate 200meters to save my phone battery was a small fail as I overestimated and had to back track to GZ. Very nice cache hide once again.

Another fantastic hide on our lovely walk this afternoon! Great camo!
Out with Crustyvarmint, juzzmagic and muggle Matt for a bike/scooter ride to tackle the Red Hill Rail Trail. With the perfect weather, we shared this trail with lots of dog walkers and a few horses.
Another clever and imaginative hide.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for an enjoyable day.

This was another well thought out design for a cache hide, and earns another favourite point.
Travelling with Juzzmagic and Knight_shift as we progressed along the track, this one impressed us.
Thanks for your work here, BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Another wonderful hide. You’ve really outdone yourself with these. It’s so pleasant for seekers when the caches are all different varied and clever.
Well done.

A vineyard view and farmer muggle. Took a breather here until the coast was clear. Great great cache.
Another great hide here, geohusband didnt even see it. Loving this trail. TFTC
You guys have gone to a lot of effort to ensure this is a fun series, thanks for putting so much into helping other peoples enjoyment
With an event on Elephant Rock that look amazing a crew of Neville_devil, AusFox;, Dromaniax and Donutholes was arranged for an early morning ferry ride and a day loaded with caches. Key caches were targeted for their D/T ratings and other because of the degrees from home for other challenges. Then there was also some unloved that was begging as well. All up it was a fantastic day with great mates with caching providing a good excuse to be out and about.
AusFox and Donutholes had to head home early so they caught the ferry back while we continued on a long day caching our way back home by car around the bay.
The D/T of 2/2 was very attractive for Dromaniax are working on a challenge that requires that D/T.
thank you BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for this series

It was a very early start as team NADDS headed off for a caching expedition on the Morning Peninsula. Team NADDS consists of neville_devil, AusFox;, Donutholes, Dromaniax and Sims_family. Go NADDS. We had put together a list of caches we wanted to target, and we were also happy to pick up other caches along the trail. We were blessed with stunning weather, and it is always great fun to cache with a group of mates. We caught the first ferry across and picked up an Adventure Lab, and then started to work along the East Coast.
Mr Dromaniax has been working on 2/2 caches for a Challenge and here we found a lovely cluster of 2/2 caches, we suspect that they are 2/2 caches because this used to be the habitat of Tchoo Tchoo Trains.
The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Happy New Year
Last January we spent two days working on this trail, one from each end. After those two outings we still had three to complete in the middle. As it was very hot today, a shady Red Hill trail felt like a good option, so we started in the middle and made our way to the start of the trail and back, collecting the three unfound caches along the way. It really is a fabulous trail.
This was our final of the three for today and our last one for the series. A great way to finish with another great construction.
Thanks for another great cache and this great trail.
