Our 2nd fossil related find in as many months!!.. Unfortunately we didn't find any here although it was interesting fossicking amongst the limestone with its very obvious layering. Loved the hide.. thanks for highlighting the spot nanna.c-super.pops!
I love these hidden in plain sight caches. Thanks for bringing me to this location, which I hadn't visited before.
Found on my way home on the Kings Birthday long weekend. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks nanna.c-super.pops for the cache.
Another sight-seeing day and of course caching, this one is a crafty hide.TFTC TNLN
We headed out today with friends to embark on a leisurely day of caching and sightseeing in the area north and east of Molesworth towards Merton etc. This was the first find of the day for Mrs B and I although our friends realized they found this one some years ago (2016) so left it to us to find.TFTC
Easy find at an interesting point after going the hard way to Cheviot tunnel. Tftc.
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Wt
Needed an Earthcache tiday, bit with this one close, why not get it too. A quick find, thanks.
So cleverly concealed I had difficulty finding it. Enter my cluey husband Awesome hide. Probably one of two of my favourites now
Bypassing my old home town Flowerdale for a visit up to Yea. Travelled a bit further up the road for this one. Nice hide which I have seen a few times before, tftc
TFTC! 25 December 2023 8:06:44pm 6572Thanks! On the way to the night cache! Made a quick stop. A great cache container!
Interesting place & cache was nicely done. Even though it was easy I enjoyed it. Thanks

Day 1! We’re spending the weekend caching way through Kelly Country, aiming to fill in needed DTs, do some fun climbs and generally have a good time.
After a 0345 reveille this morning to get a flight, we’re driving the back roads to Glenrowan…. While we were checking out the rocks, discovered we were right beside this trad... it's a cool hide too.... TFTC!

Day 1 of our Ned Kelly Country roadtrip, Melbourne -> Glenrowan!
Today is one of the longer drives of the trip, after waking up at 3:30am this morning and getting to Newcastle Airport at 5am, we’re already tired!
We’re just grabbing good DTs, oldies and different types today, so much to do and not enough time!
Fun one! Not many other hides here so this stood out, container insides are ever so slighty damp but logbook is fine. TNLN SL
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache nanna.c-super.pops!

Out in the Yea area today enjoying my day off work in the sunshine. Why not find this traditional cache and do the earth cache at the same time. Bonus. Quick easy find TFTC
I was scratching around for a plan last night to help in my quest for a twenty eight day streak this month. I was checking out my statistics and noticed that i wasnt all that far off the 360 degrees challenge so decided to put together a list of caches to complete it. I am tackling that list today with what may end up being a bit of an epic tour. This morning i got up way before i usually do, packed drinks and snacks, geopooch and tott, and got underway. Wish me luck!
Two for one deal here with this trad and an earthcache. No worries on this one, i hope the eathcache is as quick.

Found on our way up to Bright for the weekend, we took the time to get a few caches we had left along the way, we had previous log this as a dnf, but a quick easy find today tftc
We stopped by this site after walking through the Cheviot Tunnel. We have found a similar hide to this before, really clever hide. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Nanna and Pops,. On our way home after camping in Murrundindi, we stopped at Yea to cook some cocktail sav's for lunch. I realised that this Limestone excavation was nearby, so I just had to see it. Though I didn't see an actual fossel, I did find a well constructed and well hidden Cache.

Plenty of parking on our way home after delivering some steel to the banks of Lake Eildon.
Unsurprisingly at this time of day, we had the site to ourselves.
The clever cache was quickly located and out of its hiding spot almost before n0w0rries was out of the driver's seat... easy to guess, as I own something similar by adoption.
Thanks, nanna.c-super.pops, for bringing us to this significant site.

A slight detour on our way back from Goughs Bay.
Plenty of room to park the truck here.
A nice quick find with nirgalagrin.
Thank you for the Old Fossil.

Great hide in this significant area. Thanks nanna.c-super.pops for bringing us here.
Well done. In a place which will protect the log from the weather. Cache and log are good. Favourite point. TFTC nanna.c-super.pops.
Found it! The cache was found with some water in it. Emptied the water out and collected the trackable. It is rather rusty from the moisture. Log is also wet, so we didn't sign it.
Found by iamapom at 13:00 on 29/12/2022. Thanks to nanna.c-super.pops for the Traditional. This is Iamapom’s find number 2571. Greetings from Melbourne Australia.
A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.
Nice to stop and see the fossils. Cache was tough to open.

Pretty quick to find this one log book is a bit damp but still a good find with riotgirlckb
Whilst I was getting the cache description up on my phone, the cache whisperer walked over and made a straightforward (but clever) find. Gee, give me a chance! Loved the area and the fossil history. Thanks to the CO for bringing us here.
Cache on!
Cache on!
With echidna44 on our way home from Bonnie Doon. It turned out to be the first thing we touched! It was camo'd so well we didn't even realise! Thanks for this one nanna.c-super.pops.
A lovely little spot to stop and fossick around for a cache.

Bunadoorian and I were at Yea enjoying lunch when Bunadoorian said there is a cache we haven't found yet. So after Lunch we headed here. In our last trip up this way we had passed by here on the way to the Cheviot Tunnel. Today we were here looking at the fossil area. I found the well hidden cache. TFTC and for bringing us here nanna.c-super.pops
A well hidden cache similar to some caches that I have hidden and I should have been more alert to it but in the end Grub62 found this cache. Well done and a favourite point from me and TFTC.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! for a quick find at this very important site. Thanks for bringing us here
We are staying at Yea for a few days, so after a big day on the rail trail yesterday we decided to pick up the towns caches today.
After finding the two in town we jumped in the car and headed off to find the fossils.
We got lucky and found this one straight away - it helps that I've seen this type of hide before, and I definitely appreciate this this is one of the cleverer hides I've seen recently.
The log was signed and the cache returned - all in good order.
thanks for the cache Nanna c-super Pops

Catching up on some very late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
Another easy enough find in an interesting area.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoyed finding it.

Day 1 of my Mega journey, with plenty of sun and kilometres to cover to get myself up to Wangaratta.
Only seeing one snake today thank God over all the day was great, thanks for being a part of a great day.

Out for a mental health break and catching up with some friends. Checking out the area and finding some caches. I had a great day in the beautiful area. Thanks for placing the caches. Out with Monica_is_evil and mrx02. Great spot. TFTC
Stopped by on the way back from a camping trip. Interesting spot and had a wander around to stretch our legs. Tftc
We are headed to Wangaratta to stay in the accommodation that we had booked for now deferred Mega. We passed by GZ and noticed a car parked nearby. Was this going to cause a problem? We made a U-turn and returned to park near GZ and as we did the other vehicle departed. We walked to GZ and quickly located the nicely hidden cache. Thanks to nanna.c-super.pops for the cache.

Heymissjo were so excited to finally be able to leave Melbourne for a much needed long weekend roadtrip to Wangaratta and Wodonga (and hopefully some alpine areas).
This was our first celebratory stop. As we were driving through Yea, I noticed I'd marked this cache for something or other...
Oh, yes! The 'hidden date' challenge!
We turned off the main road and headed up the hill only to find the most generous of parking areas.
Back in 2017, Feathertop said the cache could only been in one of two locations... Well, in true Welder style, it took me 3 attempts and some on point guiding from HMJ!
And there, lo and behold, a lovely cache awaited us.
It was a wonderful way to begin our roadtrip.
Thanks, nanna.c-super.pops.
This was a very nice spot for some photos to mark the real beginning of our road trip.

Can’t believe it, I never thought it would happen… we are finally out of lockdown and The Welder and I actually managed to score a kid free long weekend… how did that happen… with five kids between us, that’s no mean feat! Deciding to not get caught in last nights traffic aka mass exodus out of Melbourne, we decided to go at our own pace and leave at lunch today. We have some target caches we want to get and this was the first in our sights due to the nice hidden date, one The Welder needed as he is close to completing his grid.
The Welder jumped straight out of the car and started searching… hey love what about &@! … of course it was there! A nice crafty cache and a very happy Welder…. Who serenaded me with a dance like only he could! Great start to a fun weekend, thanks for the cache.

A quick find with frmen1. Had a search through the rubble and couldn't see any obvious fossils. Another place that we wouldn't have visited without geocaching. tftc
Luckily I’ve found a cache like this before, otherwise I might’ve been scratching my head for a while! Thank you!
Returning home after a break this week we stopped here for a 2 in one opportunity. This was an excellent concealment to highlight this geological significant area. Thanks nana.c-super.pops.
Spent a wonderful day (7 July) with 3 members of ILookedThere. Left Wang about 8.30 destined for Warrawilla rainforest walk. As Jodie pointed out in previous log, the walk we wanted was closed. The other walk was not ideal so we ventured on to our Caching. Thanks to all CO's for placing the caches we enjoyed finding today. Some caches were truly water damaged and COs of those have been informed.
On a day trip out with OzReg today to Toolangi and decided to stop along the way. I love finding these cool little spots. Didn't find any fossils but we found the cache and signed the log instead.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Nice easy find with just a little bit of force needed. Thanks for the cache!
Found. I was on the way home today and stopped in Yea to get some lunch. I checked for caches and saw this one was nearby, so I headed out of town and made a quick stop to find it. No problems retrieving the cache and signing, then checked out the 'rock collection' next to it. TFTC
It has now got to the stage where we have over 750 draft logs waiting to be completed. These range back over at least a couple of years.
We are not a fan of generic logs but with everything that has been on our plates recently we reluctantly have to admit this may be the only way we can get this back log cleared. If your cache is in our backlog it usually means it is one that we wanted to spend more time creating a much more bespoke log than this. But we are not managing to achieve that goal. So in the interests of getting the backlog cleared we have decided to resort to this long form of TFTC as a way of getting a large number of them cleared.
We apologise for the lack of commentary specific to your cache or event. We are somewhat targeted in what we go after. There are unfounded caches within a few kilometres of our home which we published before we started 8 years ago. We have just never got around to o looking for them. We like unusual cache types, puzzles in particular, older caches, and tend to target a much more wider group of caches when we travel. We like remote caches and caches that bring us to an interesting place. It is likely that this cache found its way into our find list because it fits one of these criteria.
As cache owners we appreciate the effort that goes into hiding and maintains caches so thank you for that.

I drove Aquilus1 around Victoria, it was a great trip and some great sights were seen. It was actually very relaxing not being involved in where/what we were collecting....I should do it again sometime. Thanks for making me come, it cheered me up no end.
Sorry for the generic log.... all answers (if any) sent by Aquilus1

On the drive back from Alexandra and swung down here again. There’s really only one place the cache can be and reluctant as I am at this particular location, opened the boot and got out a tool. Cache retrieved and logged and scuttled away

An unexpectedly good hide here... nice to reveal this container.
Trip log: I have had a trip in mind for a while now, a 'Victoria loop' which would see a number of counties travelled through but also visit the last active Web Cam left for me in Australia and a 2000 cache which would see my Ausmer complete! A trip would not be complete without some company so a little convincing and a suitable friend was talked into coming along... and for good measure they would drive and keep me from getting myself into too much trouble while at it!
Counties featured high on my list, but each one filled with quality... oldies, larges, and types that where sought. As is the way the list led to a varied and interesting trip with some very amazing locations discovered along the way.
Day one saw a lot of distance travelled but just four caches found for the day, all quality and after a trip up Mt Buller late in the day we settled into the finest lodgings Mansfield had left.
Day two started well and the highlight among many was GC7A with my Ausmer complete but a great cache location and the gate installed for easy access was a hit. Our journey took us onto a number of locations and through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It was here with the light drizzle that settled into solid rain that I was thankful of my driver who calmly followed my directions despite the conditions as I juggled caches on my list to replace the walks the rain and the 13 degrees weather had made too uncomfortable. Ending the day cold and wet in Dandenong the accommodation made up for the previous nights and the local pizza sure did hit the spot.
Day three saw a return to lovely weather with us driving the guard rail hwy... endless guardrails on all roads. Frankie the Gnome wasn't on the list but too hard to miss as we passed! Down to Mornington Peninsula and through some interesting locations towards Lakes entrance and stopped in Bairnsdale overnight.
Day four and after a little local caching around the 'lakes' area on another lovely day, it was the long haul up towards Eden. The 2020 fires devastation was enormous as we drove through the endless winding road with all the fluffy looking regrowth. Crazy to think back to that time and see how nuts it all was. Another full day but made it safe and sound back home again.
Many thanks to all the CO's for your caches that led us on an enjoyable journey through some interesting locations with great places visited along the way..

Such a significant geological site deserves two caches. We saw the green dot peeking out from under the Earthcache one (Pity we didn’t yesterday), just as we were about to depart, so we jumped back out of the car and set to finding it. We have seen this style of hide before, this one was constructed beautifully, and we soon had it in our hands and we signed and carefully returned everything to its place. The site looks similar to a lot of places that councils use to store gravel, but is anything but, the limestone strata are beautiful, and who knows you might see a real fossil in the wild. Thank you nana.c-super.pops for this cache.
Found with geo wife and kids today , out with friends camping for the week .
Have just visited the tunnel and now off to the wetlands.
Have taken the trackable to hopefully inspire me to get more caches in the new year.

Great to get a few days off before Christmas to just escape and chill. The email inbox will be over flowing no doubt….. oh well. Went out on a little adventure with Trailstevo to collect a number of cache that have eluded me and I never have time to stop when passing though. Left home at 6am and made our way to Yea for an early morning coffee, YEA!! Did some homework at the local fossil Earthcache and proceeded to make our way along the rail trail stopping for a number of short walks collecting smiley faces as we go. At one point I found myself accidently driving down the trail, but wasn’t brave enough to turn that into a major event for the day. We continued on to Yarck, and the down to Alexandra for an Egg and Bacon roll and the second coffee of the day. 10am now. WE had been collecting clues for a local multicache which has now made us do a detour and collected 5 unplanned cache on that route….oops. Then back to the plana and we made our way to the Maintongoon Bushland reserve for a bit of puffing and blowing up the hill. So many grass seeds! Friggen things! Will have to mow my boots tomorrow! Then one last stop at the look out across the lack and back home for 2pm. Was a great little adventure. Thanks to all the CO’s for the fun. Some great cache in this area, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
