Needed just one more find before heading home. Oh, this Running Water geocache hasnt been found for a year. Can I find it in pitch dark just before 8pm? Lets have a look with a bright TOTT. Couldnt find it at GZ whilst hanging off the bank of rocks. Feet too close to the tiny stream. On way out, gotcha. In visible sight, that some folks can spot in daylight. Thanks biggles246.
Streak day #26/28. On the home stretch for this months challenge.
Today I was running out of time with plans for dinner soon approaching. I attempted another cache nearby, but in the dark, a micro in the bush was a near impossible task. I escaped and attempted a new cache.
Landed on this one, and had trouble getting to it with dead end roads etc. Eventually got to the right cul de sac. Short walk to GZ, and then it was a matter of finding the entrance. Once I got in, I checked one area with no luck, before another and finding rather quickly. There was a big spider on the cache I had to flick away with a stick. TFTC!

Made it harder than it had to be but happy to nab a night time cache thankyou.
Took a while to find it but good cache . Found a trackable and added an item . With mrlatinoGeo
Friend fell into the creek first but then we found it. This rock turned, cache found somewhere else
Log in great condition, had my eyes on this for a while but noted various dnf’s. Checked on it today, saw some recent finds, thought I’d give it a crack.
Spotted it quite quickly and easily. No water dragons for me today thank heavens! (I am notoriously scared and jumpy and anything and everything).

Easy find, lovely little creek with water dragon, first geocaching adventure since lockdown lifted, yeah! TFTC
Our first time back geocaching since lockdown, Its Great to be back out.
An easy find to start off, nice little creek, cache guarded but a few water dragons.
Thanks for maintaining the cache

Really upset not to find this one, as I was trying to introduce my mum to geocaching. We’ve lived right beside this creek since forever and was really excited to find a cache so close as I only started caching a few months ago. Searched for a while and eventually mum gave up and I continued but sadly to no avail. Will try again soon.
Was able to spot a friendly water dragon and an eel in the creek but the doggy’s window is sadly gone.

Tftc. Found after a bit of a search. Picked up travel bug. Cache was too small to drop off the one I have.
Lyn999 was straight onto this one in a flash. Lots of dwagons. Nice spot thank you. Dropped a tb. SL tftc
Pauline found it first before Quentin and I did. I drop some toys in.
Nice spot.
Log book and container dry.

Out looking for my daily find and nice to see one with a higher D/T rating than the typical 1.5/1.5. If only the puppy could talk. He gets so excited seeing people poking about nearby. Unfortunately I didn't entertain him for too long. SL and made a quick return to the car

Located at 11:00pm. A tricky find at night as the neighbour’s outdoor lights all came on as I walked to GZ and multiple dogs started barking. Determined though not to let this cache go as the D/T rating was enticing, I made the find quickly and signed the log. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

I was on my way home from North Rocks and decided to make a small stop to look for this cache. After investigating on the wrong side of the creek and found nothing but mozzies, Geogirl #3 and I made our way to the play equipment, where she played for a short while. While we were there, we came across a brush turkey digging around, so the Little Miss watched it for a while. We headed back to the vicinity of GZ, read some of the previous logs and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC!

A very early DNF for me. I started caching 2 months after this one was published, so it has been a while. No trouble today. TFTC
Found today on my second visit. Gave up last time as it was too wet. This time with no rain for weeks it was easier to search. Still no luck with GPS bouncing around. So sat and read past logs. Aha that makes sense, let's look for the odd things. CIH. All the while being watched by the cache guardian, he helped as some muggles walked by, his barking kept there eyes away from me down in the creek. Glad to get this smiley at last.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found today after some help from Sicad69 - wow. How on earth did l miss that? I've only ever come here on a short trip on my lunch breaks at work (except for the incident with the spray painting kids which was after work) feeling like a bit of a goose right now - found it within a minute. TFTC and thanks Sicad69 for your clues.
Found this one in less than 5 minutes. Found the dog in the window too! 23 July 2017
Got it! Made the mistake of trying to say hello to the pretty puppy but he didn't want to

After a visit to the Baulkham Hills library and some playing in the park near the library, we headed up this way to see whether we could find this cache. When we got there my little boy noticed another park with a playground so we spent some more time playing on the jungle gym and pretending to be fire men.
Eventually, it was time to head on home again. This was the chance to have a look for the cache. Considering the location and the purpose of the specific area, I knew that certain levels would be out of the question if the cache was to survive. However, when some of the more obvious places didn't yield anything, I even considered some of the less desirable options, and also came up empty-handed.
A step back and a better visual survey of the area, and I spotted something that might be the likely hiding spot. Yes! Success! Nice to be able to tick this one off the list, too.
The log was signed and returned to the container. I also added my signature small wire dog. Then everything went back to its hiding spot and we could exit the area without having seen anybody during all that time (I suppose mid-week caching in the early afternoon has those perks sometimes).

Not much running water today, more a trickle but that made things easier than it would have if the creek had been running. Looked in a few spots before considering the hint closer and then had cache in hand nice and quickly. Nobody around today. Thanks biggles246 & LORD.LARA.05.
Unfortunately on my second time here today to attempt to locate the cache (the first time l was muggled out by a neighbour replacing a fence near GZ) I was unsuccessful yet again.
While l was looking around GZ, I spotted these two stunning lizards on the rocks trying to catch some of the rare rays of sun on this gloomy Friday. Suddenly while l was in a position that would look suss to any muggle, two teenagers walked past briskly on the path. They shocked me as l hadn't heard their approach. I decided to get out of my position and abandon mission, when an elderly man who was shuffling along quite quickly in the same direction appeared. He asked me "did you see those boys?" And l responded "yes l did" he said "I've called the police, they graffitied up near my house". I left the reserve, went to my car and hopped in while the man continued up the street. I spotted the youths, and kept a close watch. They went into a neighbouring retirement village and seemed to split up. I swung my car around, and found the elderly man. I told him what l saw and he said thank you and headed into the village while l turned back around and attempted to go around to the opposite side of the village. By this point l thought to myself and asked myself what on earth would l/we do once we spotted them? I was hoping to see them enter a house. I just felt sorry for the old man as he was quite wound up by it.
Unfortunately we did not spot them again. I caught up with the older man in the village and he asked for a lift home, which l said of course. He hopped in and l drove him home. On the way he told me he had a heart attack not too long ago and probably shouldn't have been trying to run after them - but he got so mad when he saw them graffiti the local playground equipment.
Therefore, no find for me again today - I hope to return soon however l may need a bit of help, I did have a look around while l was there but l am not too sure which bank is the right one. It was a bit slippery and wet from the rain today so I didn't go in places l normally would have.

Found this little running water area, which was an absolute haven for all the large water lizards that were around. We looked in the most obvious places first but came up empty handed. Then we took note of all the available info, stood back and looked carefully and something looked slightly out of place. That place was investigated and happily the cache was revealed. After completing the signing duties all was returned to where it was found and we were on our way. Thank you to biggles246 for this cache.
Interesting little creek/gully here. A great place for kids to explore. Found there cache after 5 minutes of looking. TFTCM

Introducing my geotwins to this adventure and tried to find this one on the way to school.. no luck as we ran out of time!
Streak Day #1037 - After having dinner with dave8153 we decided we would need to do a cache to keep our streaks alive so we picked this one, dave8153 eventually revealed the hide after i was ready to give up lol. As dave8153 was doing the writing duties it was only then that a neighbours dog detected us and started barking so we signing duties completed we hightailed it outta there. TFTC
Found it, but read the logs Very wet and would disintegrate if attempt to sign.
The Vault Hunters found it today! It was damp again.
Followed the advice of the others and stood back to survey. Don't be afraid to clamber around a little if you really want to log this one!

Had a bit of a poke around but the area was rather damp after recent rain. I'm not a big fan of loitering around stormwater drains too much, let's hope the cache is still there and not washed away, I'll return after a confirmed find. Thanks biggles246!
Found after checking 2 or 3 holes. As reported, it's all quite wet, but I dried the log and bag a bit and managed to sign. Thanks biggles246.
Took me longer to find than I expected - had a poke around quite a few holes before moving away slightly.
Unfortunately, the container was full of water, and the log was soaked - so couldn't sign.

Mr S accompanied Sensible Sis to a nearby appointment, and seeing that we were early we decided walk to the cache. It was a quick find by Mr S, guided by Sensible Sis who had found it previously. TFTC
Find #: 1,061
Companions: None
Muggles: A few in the nearby house
Weather: Hot and sunny
Cache condition: Good
I had a dental appointment nearby, and as usual took the opportunity to find some caches on the way home. I managed to get geographically confused in where to park, so had an opportunity to explore the suburb, but eventually came right. I walked along the path and was soon at GZ. I could hear some muggles in the nearby house, but couldn't see them so decided to quickly search. I pondered for a while until I decided on a likely hiding place, and was glad to see I was on the money. I signed the log, replaced the container and its camo then headed back to my car, with the nearby dogs now deciding to announce their presence. TFTC

Needed a quick find for the streak (day 55).......... but it was 43C today!
So I waited until it cooled down (a bit) & set off with geoteen. Quickly found where we were heading - a cute doggie watched us through the fence and a million mozzies feasted on us.
Grabbed and signed as quickly as possible and escaped from the mozzies!

Was hoping to grab a few caches around Baulkham Hills this afternoon, but only got this one. Not long after making the grab the high winds started, and as the other nearby caches require walking under large trees, thought it prudent to pull the plug - especially after going around a tree fallen across three quarters of a road only a few hundred metres from my next target!
Here, however, I walked to GZ from Jacaranda Avenue accompanied only by a gentle zephyr. Having read some recent logs, I tried standing next to the big tree and just looking. This was made somewhat hard by the high vegetation growing in the creek, completely obscuring my view.
So, I walked down the slope, watched by three dogs from one of the nearby houses - luckily they stayed quiet and just watched.
The creek was running low, so walking across it was also easy today.
Had a good look around from the bottom of the gully, and spotted something I thought a little obvious. So for once I DID check it first.
And was rewarded by CIH!
Completed signing duties back at the tree, and grabbed the Haai Ray TB.
In the end much easier than I expected.

Visiting Oz. Staying with family in Baulkham hills. Introducing them to geocaching. Took a bit of looking for this one but followed the guidance in previous logs. And the water dragon is still here. Dropped off Haai ray TB. Good luck with future travels. TFTC?
I felt very exposed at GZ, especially when multiple dogs started barking at me. Anyway, there didn’t appear to be any human muggles about so I went about my business of locating the cache which I soon spotted. Due to the recent rain, the water was running today, though not in a spectacular manner.
Thanks biggles246 and LORD.LARA.05.

Couldn't find it, so did what another poster suggested and stood at the big tree to survey the scene. Spotted something not quite right, CIH. Took odd monkey thing with flip top head, left Nerf dart. TFTC!
Nice easy hide. There was no flow of the creek but still water. We pulled junk out of the cache but nothing back in. Junk as in a bottle cap. TFTC!!!

Owing to the coords putting me towards the houses to the NW, and realising that wasn't right, I had to ring Blue Mountains PAF P/L for a hint.....this cache is not low.
Found this quite quickly, stood at large tree and slowly surveyed the area. Cache was quickly spotted 10m away. No running water today, Thanks for bringing me to see a new part of B/Hills that I didn't know existed. Thanks Lord.Lara.05

Searched high and low with whatstheirnames and TilleyTB but the cache eluded us this time. Did find a purse in the creek though, complete with NAB gold card, health benefits card and $22.35, plus some other tidbits. Thought it was the cache at first! Will deliver it to the authorities tomorrow. Perhaps another day!
Odd little passage between the houses and then in full view of the neighbours who must wonder what all the activity is about. Mozzies aplenty and a tiny bit of running water. Following the logs I went low and looked high and came up with the goods. Signed and replaced. No one saw me I think.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The coordinates and hint were a bit misleading, but we did find it thanks to previous logs. TFTC.
Tricky find as the coords felt a bit off.
Neighbours were in full effect but didn't seem bothered.
Stream is in terrible condition unfortunately!
Signed, left something and headed off.

Found fairly quickly, could've taken longer than it did. The hint could match the cache location depending on which level you approach GZ (it didn't match for me).
Luckily the dog didn't seem to notice me until I was leaving.

4/11/13. 7:15 AM. Cache #1039. 2nd of 2 relatively new caches found before work this morning. Like the other find (Fire Station - Castle hill), this one involved searching while nearby dogs barked their heads off. It also included a nasty stench - I wish the water was running. Had to look around quite a bit, eventually seeing the hide in a spot that doesn't match the hint. TFTC }:)
Had a but of time after checking "The Sniper".
Initially my GPS had me on the wrong side of the water, but then remembered the TR. looked over and saw something that needed investigating.
All the while being watched by the 4 legged cache guardian (see photo).
