It's not possible to keep this cache active in it's current form -- and GZ has become a little bit "on the nose" so it's not a pleasant find. Archiving this one with a view to re-establishing a similar cache nearby.

06-Jul-18
Sadly some of the fitness equipment around the reserve necessary to calculate the final coordinates have been removed due to vandalism, and it's no longer possible to complete this cache. I'll assess whether it's possible to revise the cache or simple archive it.

Left a nice gift for the next finder.

Well that was a nice little Mystery cache!
All the waypoints were straight forward, no nasty surprises!
The cache location required a little guesswork as to what the hint meant but we got there in the end.
Thanks for the cache!

Solved and found with Coybear2000. We were nearby and decided to have a go for this one. No problems with any of the waypoints, we calculated GZ and headed there. Soon had CIH. TFTC.

In the area with Trodectus, arrived WP1 and gathered info here and at other WPs, after solving co-ords headed off to GZ. After short search, had CIH. Log signed and returned. TFTC

We think we got the co-ords right but the website to check is down. We did have a look around what we believe was ground zero but no luck Sad

This was great fun TFTC. Area where cache is located has been cleared a bit with trees cut down but cache is still ok.

#1015 before the event this afternoon stopped to have a go at this cache a cricket game was just in the process of starting The Ponds v Doonside, The Ponds were batting. Started at WP1 and and got the information from here, then walked across in front of the cricketers, the batsmen were ready to walk out but the fielders were still talking to the umpire so I continued on to WP2 where I got the required info from there, walked passed soccer players practicing outside the cricket oval their dribbling skills. Stopped at WP3 where I got that info, there are now more balls missing from G. Then headed off to WP4 where I got the final 2 pieces of info. Went to find a seat to plug the new coords into the GPSr when a four was cracked by the batter not far from where I was. I was looking at the GPSr and the notes so didn't see it entering tge grass. Stopped to help the first fielder look for the ball but when more came over I headed off to complete the cache. How do I get to there but found a path and made a quick discovery of the cache. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the puzzle & the exercise Rheneas

This cache was found while out with goingplaces2. We walked around to all the waypoints and collected the information that was required. While sitting on the seat did the final calculations and got the green light from the evince checker. Made our way to GZ and the cache was finally found. We both signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thank you Rheneas for placing this cache.

Caching together with Phantom Cyclist is really good as an extra pair of eyes helps. Did the walk around the circuit, as did so many muggles on such a lovely day. Gathered the necessary numbers and worked out the new co-ordinates, which the checker agreed with. Working muggles near GZ we just had to ignore and the hunt was on. The cache was well hidden and did not want to come out willingly, but when the right bit of camo was removed we were very happy to add both names to the log. Thanks to Rheneas for the walk and the simple maths, as well as the cache. It's getting a favourite point from us for the fun.

Caching with JordsAU
10 of 11 cache finds today

As we were walking around this park finishing up for the day.. we came across some of the sports equipment.. so we thought might as well.. So we continued around and to get all the info and head to gz as it was one the way our to the last target cache.. JordsAu made the find quickly and signed the log. There were some ants inside the cache so they were quickly evicted.

Found with pk1965, full log to follow. Cache filled with ants but gave it a good shake out before rehiding.

With a mission to find and solve a mystery cache this weekend for the The International Cache of Mystery we needed to look and determine which cache was logistically feasible and solvable. So the Geo chicks of Team Merlin and I headed out after finding a cache within our local area cache called Circuit Training. We parked the car near by the posted coordinates. Armed with the information to gather the needed details. With the first WP sorted we then headed for the next. Continuing on the finds came easier thought the circuit training. Needing to take a few breaks during the course of this mystery. At stage 3 the total number of balls that should be found on the Vertical Jump Stretcher now has two missing balls another been vandalised and is gone. Reaching the final WP we were able to then determine the final locations which we then headed to. Once at GZ we felt that we may of missed what I thought might be GZ. Checking the calculations I realised that one of the numbers was wrong. Still not pin pointing GZ a call of nature was need by the Geo chicks so the mission was on hold with another mission taking priority. Now disaster averted it was back to the mission at hand we decided to recheck our calculations again and realised a mistake was made. With new coordinates added into the GPS we headed for GZ. Now confidante we had the correct location we forgot to check the size of the cache and the hint which would of being helpful. So back to the old Geo hunch of searching the area methodically slowly widening the search area and bingo the cache was located.
With cache in hand we signed the log and returned as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Mission completed.

With Mission GC this weekend we assembled the team with JJCC for the required mystery. Each stage was located with a few breaks thrown in for the geoNeices. Making some adjustments at WP3 due to some vandalism we had some likely coordinates in hand but our assault on GZ was delayed due to a call of nature. But once taken care of and fixing up an error in our calculations we soon arrived at GZ.

After a little but of a search we soon had the cache in hand. After both signing the log we replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition.

The following TBs came through for the mileage - Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling.

I was in the area gathering some info for a nearby puzzle cache and noticed this in-field puzzle cache and couldn't resist. Made my way around the circuit exercising my notebook rather than my body at the various stations. There is lots of work going on on the oval which is totally fenced off but it did not have any impact on the task at hand. I was able to gather all required information without any ambiguity and soon had the final coords calculated. It took a few minutes and the hint to before I had CIH.
A very enjoyable experience.

Took a 2nd look @ the location to spot the Geocache, was a good 1, well hidden. Someones early mention of new pine tree planted did help with this one. The trees not so little anymore. Still in good condition just a lil build up at closure points, insides well protected.

Out early this morning with KRS and EdF on a planned cached run for a few we had solved and targeted. This was on one of the lists so a bit of circuit training of sorts was done. We soon found ourselves at GZ away from the muggles but we took a little while to find it before the call of Found It was made. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

KRS, B@W and I were doing a circuit of some fine caches today. This was the second cache I have found with this name this week, the other being a multi. The sport fields were full of Saturday action. B@W made the find.

No. 534

This one was fun. The walk to each workout station was enjoyable. This park is pretty close to home but I never knew it existed. Didn't have any trouble at each waypoint, but GZ had me stumped for a while. Saw something in a previous note which brought everything together. Cache is all in working order. I don't ever see this one getting muggled! Crazy it's been 5 months since the last find. TFTC Rheneas

Streak Day #823 - Brought my muggle friend along for a walk around getting the clues as we both decided that we need to walk some more, once at GZ made a fairly quick find. TFTC

30-Sep-15
I needed to find a few caches by the same hider on the 30th for a challenge and I hadn't been to the hills for a very long time. This was #1 for the day and I collected everything on nice sunny stroll. I did need to dodge a hoard of new mum's power walking with prams but otherwise everything fell into place easily enough and I was soon signing, out of sight, at GZ.
Thanks Rheneas.

I decided to do this one to get my steps up for the day. Gathered all my information and did the maths, that can't be right - too far away. Rechecked and spotted my silly mistake, that looks more likely. Soon had CIH. Took TB. Did a few more laps then headed to the next one. TFTC.

After my failed attempt end of June, today I was able to come back and park nearby GZ. Walked over and after a little search made the find. One latch was unlocked and the cache was open. It was damp and had a slug or two in it. I cleaned them out, signed the log, which is damp, but ok, and replaced everything. May want a check after the rain goes. Also dropped in a TB to move along. Great little mystery for my Road Trip souvenir. TFTC.

I completed my circuit training a week and a half back when gathering the required info. With a non valid evince return I contacted the CO who put me right with my maths. A second attempt with evince returned a thumbs up.
Today this was my second find as I completed another circuit of this park. A quick find was made at GZ, signed log and replaced. tftc and the fitness training

I was in the area a week ago to pick up a few caches and noticed this one which I flagged to do when I returned to The Ponds today. I enjoyed my stroll around the oval picking up the clues and relaxed on one of the benches to make the calculations. I was pretty sure my result was correct but I put it through Evince anyway and got the all clear before setting off for a quick find with good coordinates.

This is very well designed and set up. Thanks Rheneas.

29-Jun-15
And on a lighter note...I rechecked my calculations while at work today and BAM, got the Congratulations! from Evince! DOH!!! Just my clumsy fingers checking Evince on an iPhone. Time to head back!!!

28-Jun-15
I came and did my circuit training, but after all WP's my calculations were wrong and I was running out of time to redo them all. So another time.

12-May-15
Did a quick cache check this morning, the container is still hidden in it's original hiding spot. Interestingly since the cache was hidden, a pine tree has been planted and is growing only centimeters away from GZ, this should be a good hint for future finders!

05-May-15
I will perform a cache check as soon as practical, however will leave this cache active for the moment. Being a D3, it's not supposed to be too easy!

03-May-15
After weeks of heavy rain I'm wondering if cache is still there....?

24-Feb-15
I had worked out the coordinates for this a while back, but it was on a very damp day, after a lot of rain. Which made searching around gz much more difficult. It was nice and dry today, and soon enough I revealed just what the hint was referring to.
Thanks for the cache.

#1270 (2 of 3 today)

Had not attempted this a few days ago due to the oncoming storm. OK, so the storm is still oncoming again today, but it's much further away.

Grabbed the clues at the waypoints as a cricket match was ongoing on the oval. Found a bench near the last waypoint to sit and calculate. Hmmm, OK that looks plausible.
Walked to GZ and started looking. Can't see anything. After 10 minutes decided to move away from GZ to sit and recalculate again. Numbers are correctly slotted in and entered on the iPhone app... Checked the instructions.

Aah, there's my error, missed an adjustment.
Luckily the recalculated GZ is, oh, less than 5 metres from where I'm sitting.

So, started searching the proper coordinates. After a few minutes I spied the correct hidey hole & had CIH!
And I didn't even use Evince to check.

Completed signing duties and walked back to the Hademobile.

Arrived at the listed co ordinates and remembered the hours spent here looking for another cache that no one ever found. Did the exercises on each device and counted the numbers needed to get GZ. Drove around to GZ and saw all the hidy holes but only one could be good enough to hide a cache that size. Did the legals and replaced as found.TFTCM

#100 – Looking 4 Cache iPad App and Garmin eTrex 30

After finding ‘X’, I continued down the road for this cache. I had already worked out the co-ordinates quite a while ago with Geodad and had visited GZ a couple of times with no luck. Thank you to ris768 and the CO, who both provided excellent information. I was about to give up again on this one but I moved a few more rocks and finally found my 100th cache. SLTNLN. TFTC.

Took for ever to get the co-ords for this cache with geo-toddler dragging her feet and then geo-bub demanding a feed every 30 mins and crying the whole time...almost abandoned for another day, but pushed on through until the end.

TFTC - enjoyed the walk around the circuit and the man made ponds.

Headed out on a spontaneous afternoon caching mission. A perfect one to go for - nice and close to home and fun for the whole family to do together. The soccer players' language not so family friendly! TFTC

14-Jun-14
I enjoyed the counting at the equipment.

06-Jun-14
Parked in the carpark and then trotted off to each WP, enjoying the duck ponds the most. Had GZ co-ords within 10 mins, and I made a beeline for it whilst some workmen were on the far NE side of the park. Once I reached GZ, I had CIH within minutes. Great work Rheneas, TFTC!

02-Jun-14
Made the mistake of trying to attempted this on a weeknight, primetime use for the park. While I was there I went for a nice stroll gathering all the necessary information. Today I finally had a chance to make the grab. Once at GZ I quickly worked out the type of hide I was looking for and had CIH. TFTC

Really enjoyed the stroll around the grounds and made quick work of the puzzle. That said I had all sorts of difficulty at GZ and required a PAF to set me straight.

Decided to do a combo geo/exercise combo this arvo at this nice cricket field. I have been around this track many times in the past.

Started off and did 15 walking laps on the concrete track, then started working back from WP3, as I had parked on that side.

Enjoyed doing the 3 WP's and even tried a few of them out - it's been a while!

Got to GZ and was rewarded with a quick find. Was also able to keep out of sight of nearby muggles, due to the cache location.

The rain came down soon after and the cricketers took a drinks break.

Thanks for another local one Rheneas.

Grading night for the Ponds FC U11's, so while Ryan is chasing the ball and being flogged by soccer nazi's.
GeoJack and I go chasing a smiley.
As this is our home ground, I had all year to go after this, with match days and training nights included.
Would of been here last week but wasn't caching for a few days due to apple phone issues. Having to book an appointment with an apple genius and being told to wait for an hour after to see a genius. Only the mention of Dept of Fair Trading, did they say o.k, well change the iPhone free of charge! Oh save me, please, the battery fault is their issue.
Anyway, Had great fun with Jack counting the items around the fields at waypoints and reached the basketball courts last. Sat down and plugged in coords.
Upon 70m to go, GeoJack says "My legs aren't working and you must carry me", explained how poor Daddy's back will snap and had a line of sight of GZ.
Started searching the obvious first and continued further. Oh look, that looks suspect! GeoJack pounces and that sweet sound of I see it dad. Once again GeoJack saves the day.
What everyone should have is an over eager, very excitable 6yr old cacher with them.
Excellent hide and great cache. Thanks Rheneas

10/02/14. 7:37 AM. Cache #1335. 2 caches before work this morning; both relatively new and on the outer western edge of my usual search radius (25km). Began by finding Beautiful Day, then a short drive north to The Ponds to get this one. A few muggles out and about walking & jogging, but easy enough to get all my clues in order. Sat down near WP3 to put it all together and get my tick from Evince. Then on to GZ; the find was fairly sneaky and took me about 10 minutes of searching, despite having accurate coordinates. Now off to work; TFTC }:)

08-Feb-14
Did a quick cache check this morning and container is still in place and fairly well hidden. My GPSr put GZ about 2m south of the puzzle answer coordinates, which is about as accurate as one can get. Given the general location of GZ it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out what type of hide this is. Once the FTF prize is claimed I'll add a clue. Cache on!

08-Feb-14
So Team Canary rings me to find out if I had gone back to find this cache. I hadn't, so now the race was on but at least I had already worked where GZ was. So I spent about 15 minutes getting my hands dirty and scraping a layer of skin off. Finally I found it and realised I left my pen in the car (if only I had opened the cache I would have seen one was provided), so I race back the car and on my way back to the cache I saw TC heading his way to GZ. SL #1258 on streak day #583, beating TC by 2 minutes for the {*FTF*}, he is a good sport. TFTC and the gift card.

Even though evince says I had the correct coordinates I was unable to locate the cache. Which leaves me wondering if it is still there as it was hidden over a month ago and maybe the local kids had explored the area during the recent school holidays.
