We visited beachmere today and looked for this cache on the way back.

26-May-24
All we found was a dead kangaroo.

We debated continuing on to this one given it had three DNFs and it was a hot hot day today but there was enough shade on the track and there were birds tweeting and insects chirping merrily away so we thought why not give it a go. A nicely crafted cache. Thanks Beckster22

30-Nov-23
Checked the only stump we could find but it wasnt in there so I proceeded just to check around everywhere finding it not too far away. Quite a pleasant walk along this track. Silent except for the few bird calls. TFTC

12-Sep-23
Possibly gone or covered from recent pruning for powerlines?

29-Jun-23
Don’t think it’s there anymore

29-Jun-23
Dnf muck from Bob the builder cleared the cache away

This was a fun one and good creative hide. Track is a little overgrown but one you get to the spot it is pretty good. Lots of mozzies.

21-Dec-22
It quite what I thought it was going to be hiding in. However it was a clever hide. Thanks for hiding this one in a quite area.

#7 for the day. Headed this way a week or so ago but decided the track was too rough in my 2 wheel drive. Back again today in the jeep. We decided to do these few before hitting the water.

Found with Duppers. I'd call it a log instead of a stump. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF

Sneaky but easy enough. TFTC

Beckster22 I found your cache Stumpy on 3/10/2022, 10:40 am. This is my find 4307 and find # 2 today. Found it after a brief search. Sneaky hide. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

01-Apr-22
Today, I started out the day with a visit to Caboolture finding a cluster of geocaches around Central Lakes Park. Subsequently, the plan was a kayak paddle in Pumicestone Channel as per the organised event by Peppa and patrol14. We then used the occasion to find a few geocaches in the *Little Bird* series by kayak. After lunch, we then formed a small group to continue to find a few more *Little Bird* series geocaches by vehicle and walking, before we all had to rush home from taking a long day out.

With my remaining time available and left in this area, I decided to detour past a small cluster of geocaches in the middle of the peninsula. After parking my vehicle at the end of the road, I found a way in along the fire track. It was quite overgrown and boggy, but I did my best in selecting a mostly dry route. After arriving at GZ, it took a few minutes of searching around before recognising something out of place. Upon further inspection, the cache was found, but unfortunately the outer camouflage is starting to age and come away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Beckster22 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today I had the pleasure to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and later on Willis007 for a day of caching. Our initial target for the day was the land based Bird caches while also grabbing several other caches on our travels. We then moved on to Bribie Island to attend an event to have a brief break from caching duties and mingle amongst fellow cachers, luckily we dressed for the weather because that bitterly cold wind would rip straight through you, brrr!

After the event we decided to stay put on Bribie Island to grab the remaining caches that we missed on our last visit, I think we’ll need a 4x4 for the remaining ones however.

Thank you for showing us around these wonderful locations, we had an absolute blast.

Apologies for the generic log.

25-Jul-21
This morning it was triple turmoil, Nayfee and myself on a clean-up mission of the area. We were working our way to a lunchtime event on Bribie Island. With a few birds to collect and a few others as we passed by, we had plenty to get before the event. It was a fun morning and a successful round up of new and old active caches.

This was the fifth cache of the day for me. While the others were searching around, I was sitting and getting the cache out of its hide. This cache gets a favourite point from me, even though I have seen this type before it still is nice to see some effort being made for a cache hide. Just an observation, the outer casing off the cache has come off with the weathering. With our names in the log we were onto the next on the list. Thank you for the cache and making it interesting.

25-Jul-21
With an event in the area, Chamad, Nayfee and I decided to make a day of it, finding what we could before and after the event. Always nice to find an unloved. It was very well hidden. We were put off by the hint for quite a while as there are not too many obvious stumps at gz. Very well hidden within nature.

16-Apr-21
Looked at lots of stumps but no luck

03-Oct-20
Very creative! Thanks for the hide!

A short stroll to GZ and we spotted the nicely disguised cache. Well done to the CO! Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC

**# 24719** Found on our 2019 trip to Qld for winter. Wink
A fine Winter day for a drive around the area again.
Not many muggles around today and a few good safe hides. Wink
Walked around for a while until the GPS returned to the right spot.
Thanks for the cache Beckster22,

A new cache in place and good to go.

27-May-19
Checking on this cache after 3 DNFs. It seems some clearing has happened and the cache has gone. Hopefully have a new one made and in place tomorrow.

24-May-19
No luck today. Boy the mosquitoes are vicious here!

24-May-19
Out and about but failed to unearth this one.

12-Apr-19
This one has us stumped and the mozzies finally carried us away. DNF

25-Mar-19
I have been waiting for the start of Cache Carnival in order to find this one despite the fact that I had found the nearby Creature 4 cache awhile ago. I spent abit too much time trying to undo a decoy that the mosquitoes found me. I felt like I was in the advert where an arm was stuck into a box full of mozzies except it was the whole of me. I quickly located the cache hide, quickly jumped out of the bushes, quickly signed and returned it. Then I ran back to the car followed by a squadron of those pests. Tftc.

While staying at Elimbah we ventured out and found this cache. Exploring these areas is fun and generally very scenic. Thankyou Beckster22 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area Big GrinBig Grin

Further along the road from the berries, we parked at the end and waded through the waist high grass oblivious of the possible danger of possible reptiles underfoot. (How could anyone go geocaching if you worried about such things??) Razz
We turned into the little rainforesty patch where there seemed to be a slight geotrail and while I was looking for a more obvious stump, J picked up the cache. Another crafty container with a familiar inner. Quick sign and rehide before the sandflies rounded up all their friends to join the party. Red Face
There are the beginnings of fungal growth however, so repairs may be needed in time....
As we were on a high point mission for the planetary pursuit, we missed the other cache in between this and the last. How silly! Now we will have to return another day for that one....Surprised

Today, we wanted to head over to Bribie to visit friends, and change some books at the Bribie Book Exchange. Planned to pick up some caches around Beachmere that I don't think were in the area last time we were through.
After a bit of too-ing and fro-ing, our GPS settled, and we found the hide. Wanted to walk to next one, but there was water on track.....
thanks Beckster22

Another great hide, using recycled materials, in a well made cache, this is what makes me SMILE, and give favourite points, Thanks for all the caches around this area, Beckster22, they have given me a bit of grief, and a lot of fun, plus some much needed exercise, which is what geocaching is about

27-Aug-17
Well, got to the entry point for this one, and the grass and bushes looked just a little long for us. Poked my head in, and it was fine, so off we went down the track.
Looks to be a commonly used motorbike path, so easy going.
Walked on in, and found the cache.
All in good condition. Signed the log and returned to its hiding spot.
Thanks CO.

**Smilie #4842**

An afternoon free meant heading north to convert a few icons into smilies.

Having found one similar, earlier today, the cache was easily recognised.
A quick find after a very short stroll in from where I had parked the Geo-Beast.
A couple of young ladies on horses, on the neighbouring property, gave me strange sideways glances as I entered the track but all good here. Smile
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Out with Nurseyjulie, finding a few caches in the area. After finding a nearby cache, we continued our walk to this one. At GZ, we searched the obvious, without luck. I stopped and looked around. Hmmm, that looks a little odd. Closer inspection revealed the cache. TFTC

A day out with Selvagirls picking up caches in the Beachmere locale. Having checked the map, we walked to this one from creature 5. A couple of likely stumps but did not see it. SG soon discovered the stumpy stump. TFTC Beckster 22

Out for an early cache this morning for my daily cache and mrs wombles joined me as it wasnt far from home. We saw the distraction and originally thought that was it realised it wasnt and kept looking a few mins later we found it. Now to quickly sign and get out of here the mozzies are starting to bite me. We saw the tracks and they were very helpful to lead to the cache and there was also a sign that had been knocked over very strange but very nice and secluded Smile

Sneaking out with Rhobocacher for her one a day cache today.
Clever hide and only reading previous logs helped us locate it after we looked at some red herrings.
Interesting that this road does not connect!

23-Oct-16
Wow!! Our 300th cache and we thought that by the name of the cache we would be looking at every cacher's bread and butter - a stump.

Near GZ there is a great distraction to make you think the cache is there but the geodaughter was not fooled and spotted a suspicious line. We had a high-five and a cuddle after signing the log. Walking back to the car, I thought I spotted a boomerang. After throwing it I realised it wasn't. tftc

2089

Sunday. Returned to the site of a previous DNF. Was clever enough to take the Bushmans with us this time - it came in very handy.

We don't remember the first part of the track after you get off the road being anywhere near this overgrown. Maybe our minds are failing. Anyway, we got to where we had to head bush and did so. We looked and looked and came up with nothing. Logs indicated something out of the ordinary was to be spotted. Well we certainly spotted something that matched that description. We don't know what it is or what purpose it serves, but it comes apart (to an extent) but clearly is NOT the container.

Anyway, after widemning our search area, Luke finally spotted what it was, a minor miracle in itself! [xx(] Most tricky indeed. Signed and replaced very carefully.

This was the 1st of 2 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Beckster22***, for showing us this place. Smile

23-Sep-16

Tenth find of the day on our way back from Brisbane. Continued my walk into the bush after Creature 5 and arrived at GZ. Checked out what I thought was the obvious place but with no luck, so decided to widen my search and backtracked a few meters and then something caught my eye. What a great cache and we appreciated the work that went into it - deserves a favourite point from us. TFTC Beckster22 Smile

Had a few hours to waste so set out for a trip to Beachmere with the husband.
6th find for the day
This one was a bit exciting. On the way down the little track a snake took off in front of us. Eeeeeeek so much grass. Then I was imagining this giant anaconda jumping out of the grass and taking me down. It's ok though that didn't happen. Got down to the gz area and the gps would not make its mind up with where it wanted to go. I think it was all the interference from the mosquitoes that took up refuge on my person. Look down to swat one away and then I notice a tick. Yep I think the creatures of the bush are ganging up on me and trying to take me out. But I won't let them. So we continued the search. Ahhhh there you are stumpy! Thanks for the memories TFTF

Very cleverly done

30/6/16 As i approached GZ I was glad I had read the description to realise I would have a walk a short distance. I left the car and headed in. I soon arrived at GZ and began the search. Once again I spotted the cache behind me and thankfully I have found this type before. A sneaky hide and a favourite point given. TFTC Beckster22

Mr Just a Trifle was out and about doing a few errands but he made a quick detour to pick up a cache for the day. Ground zero was easily located and with our name added to the log book, he continued on his way.

Thank you Beckster22 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

31-Mar-16
Took a little while as it was getting dark and mozzies were out. Very good camo.

Found the decoy immediately, then the other one. A quick glance back (fortunately in the right direction) and ... Oh is there something that doesn't quite fit in... aaaaand got it. Great effort. Fav from Braendis for this one

25-Dec-15
Another great cache that had me scratching my head for a while wondering where it could be. A very clever idea for a cache and I appreciate the effort that went into making it for us. A favourite from me. TFTC

04-Dec-15
Found @ 0920 hrs

Like other cachers previously, I to was drawn towards the clever decoy. I search for about 10 min then eventually widened my search area.

As I was thinking about conceding defeat, I spotted something, no quiet right....Bingo a nicely constructed geocache.

I extracted the log and signed our names before replacing cache exactly as I found it.

This one certainly had me "Stumped" for a while, so much so that I went and found the nearby cache to take a break from this one, on my return a bit more intense looking and finally I spotted something else out of place, sneaky!

We enjoyed the variety of hides, and visited some lovely beaches & parks.
The well camouflaged cache was found after a short search, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Beckster22, for us and others to find.
