Hi. Owners of the house this was infront of informed my son & I that the tree has been chopped down so the cache is gone
Thought I'd let you know.
Cheers

The tree that it was in in no longer there. The CO does not seem to be maintaining his/her caches either as most in the area contain wet logs that have been commented on by quite a few finders over the last 6 months.
A local was out front and said that the tree it was in had been cut down. Rest in peace.

Lots of neighbours about doing their thing so had to be quite stealthy - which is a bit tricky because retrieval leaves you quite exposed. Signed the driest piece of paper and re-hid.

Indeed, I did find this one but had to "fish" around in the "little water well" to find it. Coudn't sign because log was too wet, sorry nothing to replace it with. TFTC
Tftc, found number 2 in the series a while ago. Log is saturated and needs maintenance.
Log totally wet and stinky.
Need to climb which is not terrain 1.

Out with FootyFanatics and pdbunce on a stunning Sunday. Second cache for the day after having a lovely breakfast at West Pymble Shopping Mall and getting a few supplies to get the smileys up with a day of caching. Nice easy find.just s well I'm not vertically challenged. Log and contents sodden due to recent rains and has a very pungent smell.
Found it on a warm Sunday while out and about with Evangt and Pdbunce. Second for the day and a quick find. Just as well my caching buddies are tall. TFTC
Found with BabyJMan
Third stop this afternoon. Parked around the corner from gz. Using the previous log it was a quick reveal of the cache. Container is becoming a bit damp and the log is a bit damp too (don't think these containers are the best.
Terrain should be modified slightly to 2 as I am over 190cm and couldn't reach the cache.
Thanks

Today we were targeting caches in the West Pymble area. We are getting close to our 800th milestone cache and, having a particular cache in mind for number 800, we needed to find 8 more caches to get us to number 799. This was our 7th find of the day.
After finding "Diminishing Hope #2" we drove the very short distance to this one. Parked the geomobile right alongside GZ, in Wallalong Crescent. Searched around for a little while but the GPSr had us in a place lacking in any obvious "holes". Widened the search a bit, checking in every hole we could see, but found nothing.
We then decided to check other types of holes at other types of elevation, and soon had CIH. Unfortunately the cache container lid was not on correctly and the container was full of water. When we emptied out the water two worms and a soaked log emerged. The log was totally unsignable so we put in a temporary log sheet, from our field note book, and put it inside a new ziploc plastic bag. TFTC.

Found at 12:20pm.
Today I was up early to go on a cache-hunting mission. This was my fifth out of eight finds for the day and 15 for the whole weekend. I had done my research on some local caches which I needed to fill in my D/T and 'Hidden Month' grid and I wasn't disappointed on my adventures.
Today I stayed around the area's of Turramurra, Gordon and West Pymble. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of caches. It's probably owed to the fact that they were all mostly rural-type hides as opposed to your typical boring nano on a park bench.
The weather today was stunning and the temperature was just a little on the cold side early on but warmed up in the mid-morning. I began my day with a couple of DNF's which didn't give me good momentum but I was keen to rectify it and get on a roll with a couple of finds.
'Wallawong Crescent #3' was my fifth cache for the day and not dissimilar to #2 in the series just a short walk down the road, I had issues with muggle neighbours, or what I assume to be muggle neighbours. I didn't attract the attention of any residents but I was ready for someone to walk out of their house and ask me about my business - to which of course I had my response handy to explain that I was an arborist conducting tree-search.
I laid low and soon realised where this cache was and made the grab as sneakily as possible.

Found with Crinklypear5, took a few minutes to find this one but we made it back to the car before a local resident walked past GZ. Tftc!
I had some spare time this morning before my work commitments commenced so I decided to go for a bit of a walkabout in this area. This took way longer to find than it should have done. Coordinates pretty good but I didn't spot the hide at first. Broadened search area and then a car pull into the drive next to GZ. Driver waved at me and pointed. He knew where the cache was! Lucky for me a friendly muggle. TFTC, Biggles.
Moved the vehicle some few hundred metres and took some time to reveal itself.
Read past logs, ah, CIH, thanks MP & WA

Opa-Shrek and I were in the last stretch of today's geomission by the time we reached here, another spot I'd been to before - that time I hadn't come prepared having read logs and found today that then I was looking in quite the wrong spot. Today I was also thankful we were accompanied by GeoJorjy, as here we quickly hoisted her up for her to grab the cache from its spot. She wasn't confident to do that twice though, so I had to play monkey to return it.
Thanks for the cache here MancyPants, but have to agree with others before me who have said this deserves a slightly increased terrain rating

Out and about today with Mumma-Kel ... and due to school hols, one of her geokids. This was one of several caches we came across today where it was handy to have a lightweight 8-year old with us ... knowing what was required here after reading past logs, we were able to hoist GeoJorjy up at GZ so that she could grab the cache and bring it down. She wasn't keen, though to do the same a second time so after logging duties were done, it was left to the younger and more agile member of our team to return the cache to its hiding place ... but with me providing her with a step up. Given what we had to do to get to the cache, I think its T rating is a little under
Thanks ManceyPants for this cache (the T rating of which is IMHO a little under done), and for the smiley too.

We have set up camp at the Lane Cove Caravan Park, while our daughter is in hospital for a couple of weeks.
Today we planned on finding caches in the Pymble area. We were surprised how much native bush is in this area. A wonderful morning out tiki touring the area.
As we had to climb the tree to get the cache we believe your terrain of 1.5 is too low.
Thanks for placing this cache ManceyPants

LOST IN CACHE were back on the road again. ACTchil, Darzee Di, KittyKatch and GrimRaider spent the day travelling to and enjoying the NSW Geocaching event at Lane Cove National Park. We did some caching on the way and around the event location. It was a great day and this was one of our finds. tftc ManceyPants
Wow - brave cache in such a busy area. It was a very tricky retrieval and return on this cache - particularly as it was such a beaut afternoon with lots of people out mowing lawns, going for runs, ... A fun cache though - thanks again
After going to the Let's Party - Come Celebrate Australia's first cache event and visit the first ever cache put out In Australia "Lane Cove" Team Lost in Cache (KttyKatch, Grimraider, ACTchil and I) we thought we would grab some caches on the way home. We parked the car and went for a little stroll, it was such a nice day for a stroll. Container found, log book signed and off on our way to the next one.
After all the recent wet weather this one was lucky to still be there. It's hidey hole was completely full of water and container was floating. Thanks ManceyPants.
Nice easy find. Good, cause we're getting tired. I turned out to be the guina pig while my friend watched.
Found! We certainly took the hard way to having this one in our hands. The lid is missing and the cache has water in it. Log is reduced to paper mache. We fashioned a lid with some gaffer tape until it can be repaired/replaced. Removed bottle top, it's not a trade item, it's just rubbish and will rust! TFTC.
Local resident mowing the lawn! Didn't want to be Muggled for a 2nd time today!
First find with the whole family. My first thought was, it can't be there, but a quick grab and we had it.
Wow! What a hole! Lucky I could reach that far. Had to resort to some creative caching to retrieve this cache. SL TNLN TFTH TFTC Replaced log as found.
Out for a quick find this morning before the next round in the silly season. Parked close with no one around. Spotted the likely location and upper the terrain to 2 plus and soon had the cache in hand. we completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Last of a trilogy of late afternoon caches found to kick off the November account. Walked in from #2 to avoid the attention of the many muggles arriving home from work. The smells of various dinners being cooked wafted down the street and reminded me that I should also be on my way home. Many thanks MancyPants
After reading the logs I knew where to look and sure enough I managed to grab it without any problems. Cache was water logged so I left a new sheet of paper & zip lock bag, TFTC.
#179. Decided to do some geocaching for Father's Day since I often go with my dad when I visit home, and also to commemorate finishing the 100th week of my PhD! The aim was to get 7 for Sept 7th so decided West Pymble was the place to explore. This was the fourth of my 7 - figured out where it was hiding but felt very exposed... After assessing the best way to retrieve it I managed to get it fairly swiftly, sign the log, and return it in the same manner. TFTC!
With only 2 weeks until City2Surf, I was in search for caches to aim at on my weekend long run, and the Wallalong series was almost exactly 7km away, ie a 14km round trip. It certainly is hilly in this part of town, so I was happy to have a little break when I made it to GZ. I was a bit dubious about the nearby houses, so made sure there was nobody looking, then went in for the find, which was luckily in the first place I looked. I signed and replaced, then headed back towards home. TFTC
Sometimes the best is left for last and that's how it is with these three in the Wallalong Crescent series. As we approached we saw a likely spot and as Jono_9 offered to retrieve it I just stood back and watched. We signed and returned the cache to its secure hide-hole. Thanks ManceyPants.
[Found quickly, but] since it's up a tree,[ a 2 for terrain would probably be more appropriate.]
This one took us a little while to find being conscience of a party happening in the house behind the corner fence and us waving our torches about. We were convinced it had been muggled and about to give up when we looked through some past logs for a hint and to see if we had a PAF. One of our PAFs wrote something that made us look in a different way and I spotted a hole and was able to retrieve the cache. SL #1515 TFTC
This took us longer than it should have, baggie was damp and me thinks the terrain needs to be raised on this one. TFTC
The GPS took me to a spot and there was only one place it could be. Spotted the likely hidey hole. It seems like the local council has done some work to make this cache a lot easier to find.
The woman across the road watched me curiously as I grabbed the cache. I would have signed it, but the log is wet. TFTC

Love the hide! I was just about to give up looking in all the rocky nooks when i spotted THE hole
After a bit of a hunt around GZ something matching the hint was seen.
Now how am I going to get that without looking a bit out of place?
Geodog provided a decoy and when the area was muggle free I retrieved the cache, SL and waited for an appropriate moment to replace it.
Just as we began to walk off on our trek along Wallalong Crescent the muggle closest to GZ drove into his driveway.
