While on holiday in Ireland, my partner and I decided to give this cache a go. We got lucky with the tide and were able to walk easily across the sand, admiring the beautiful beach. In our enthusiasm, we discovered a cool looking rock cave-like formation and wasted a fair bit of time searching for the cache there, before realising GZ was still 20m away! So onwards we went and found the *real* secret cave, which was very cool indeed! After searching around with the torch, we spotted what we thought might be the cache, but accessing it was much more difficult than anticipated. Thankfully, my partner had rock climbing experience and was able to scale the slippery rock face. And he discovered... a blank log sheet!!!
We are surprised and thrilled to be FTF on such an awesome cache! This is one of those rare finds that is a real achievement, a real experience, not just another tally on the find score. Only certain people are going to be able to do this as it's pretty difficult physically, as well as getting the tide times right; experience climbing sheer rock faces is definitely required. But for those that do attempt this and complete it, wow. Thank you for this cache that was the highlight of our Irish holiday! (We are from Australia and the Netherlands).
