Sad face for us today. After finding the others we thought might have missed it rather than missing.
Made a lot of trails in the long grass searching for this one without success. Too bad.
Trouve ! / Found it ! Allant chercher la cache challenge des lieux, j'en profite pour faire quelques caches aux alentours.5060me cache trouve.Merci drawp pour la cache Going to look for the challenge cache of the place, I take the opportunity to make a few caches in the surrounding area.5060th cache found.Thank you drawp for the cache
We were sadly coming to expect a sad face here as we looked in a number of places. But then SoBad widened his search and the GPS suddenly decided to agree that we had been in the wrong place and this place was perfect.Thanks.
We are visiting from Tauranga and what better way to explore Timaru on our bikes? Great trails, busy today too. Cache is all good. TFTC
Cache 1624 I came to this lovely little nature reserve/walkway to sign the resident challenge cache but I couldnt pass up the opportunity to get another smiley or 2 on the way past T4TC
On the journey south, we completed this multi. The nature reserve is a beautiful oasis. Thank you for caring and maintaining the caches.
Had to persevere with this one! Spent ages looking but was determined to fine the first cache of the day! Found eventually
Eventually scored the happy face. This is well hidden, I can see why so many DNF it. Thanks drawp.
Searched through a number of places that matched the hint & Mr eagle eyes finally spotted what were looking for
A little back track to get to the cache as I was heading further towards the sea. TFTC!!
Explored this walk today as the road was closed from extensive rain. All good here. Tftc
Another in a series of random trips around the country, this weekend brings my down to Christchurch for a road trip down to Timaru for the Saturday night, and back home to Wellington on Sunday. With only a few real life commitments in between I had plenty of spare time for targeting some specific caches along the way (as required for some of my geocaching goals), as well as a few random others. This was one of them.
Somehow I missed this one last time I was down here, so had to come back to complete the area. All good here.
Thanks to drawp for placing this cache here.

Wandered around a bit before locating it. No muggles around to disturb my search, even though this appears to be a very popular place to ride, walk and run. Lots of paradise duck in this area. TFTC
Found on a nice bike ride in the area. Was hoping this was going to be a loop track
Mr KN volunteered to get the car from Fairfield Road and meet us near the bridge on SH1. Which left plenty of time for BFC and I to find an extra cache on the walk back from Quack Quack Honk Honk. There was mist forming and the first stars coming out as we approached GZ. We took our time and the GPSr eventually pointed us in the right direction.
Thanks for the cache, number two and last for the day.
Thanks for the cache, number two and last for the day.
Nice quick find here, cache in excellent dry condition despite the recent rain. Thanks for bringing us here !
A beautiful sunny morning discovering an area we never knew was here. Surprised a runner when we reappeared out of the bushes
Heading to Geraldine to cache up with BCD. After a couple of hours caching in Oamaru we were on our way again with the next stop being Timaru. Glad to turn a frown upside down here with a nice quick find. A lovely afternoon stroll in the autumn sunshine TFTC
Yet another DNF. Was getting to the point where I'm just causing damage to the flora. Onwards to the next.
Got a bit lost and took our own way which led through the cracked mud where ducks/geese/seagulls/all the birds were hanging out together, and through the trees back to the path, and found another cache on the way. TFTC and the fun taking your own path gives
It took a while (free hint, it's not yellow any more) but the coords are bang on. Cheers, the coach is now biking and using a loadhailer to tell the crews what to do. Fun to watch.
