I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Shady's
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Hi there Shady's. While out on the road today we hunted this cache but after a search we came up empty handed . This cache could probably do with a maintenance check with several of the last reports mentioning the log being wet and possibly the cache itself missing. Thanks to Shady's anyway for this cache.
It does t exist, it’s not here anymore. We looked for over half and hour and it was nowhere to be seen
*Another good find.
Nice day going from cache to cache with woolwood9.*
We soon had the container located. **tm/ww NZ**
Thanks for putting this out for us to visit!
We enjoyed the drive / walk around!
Sorry didn't see the log (until we arrived at GZ) or we would have replaced broken container and wet log.

In Wanaka for a weekend of sightseeing and caching
I was sent on the water mission for this cache. Easy to locate once there but the log is wet.
Still managed to sign log. Tftc

Happy I let and could used my gumboots here to cross water with dry feet. Logbook is wet forever as previous mentioned. I have totally same sized one at home, I should take it with me next time, be more prepared cacher .
Had to take shoes n socks off to wade across and an easy find.Found the water wasn't as deep on the river side of the island. As previous activities have noted the log was soaked and is never going to dryout, will need a replacement, still managed to sign however.
Enjoyed the trail from Hawea on a very very hot day. Interesting site for a cache. Enjoy reading the unique history of cache sites like this one. Luckily the access to the site was dry.
My brother used to do jetsprinting as did his brother in law. Remember being here in January one year with fresh snow round the hills, it was freezing. Log too wet to sigh.
Found but as last person said is wet. Photo taken as proof. Kids added a few swaps as they like to add 1 each
Mmmm found it but very wet & sorry since we walked a distance into it had no spare paper. Have replaced as found but a little higher up so hopefully will dry out. Photo attached as couldn’t sign log TFTC
Found it after a bit of searching. Got pretty muddy shoes! Log book is soaking wet but Jackson pretty happy to find George pig enjoying the water! TFTC
Had to ‘pop down’ to Wanaka for groceries today and this was my choice for the 365th cache for completing my Jasmer Challenge. One to go!
‘Popping down’ for groceries involves a 2-hour round trip!
The boss of the company I previously worked for was a keen jet sprinter so this cache also held special significance to me. It’s wet today so I was definitely getting wet feet retrieving this cache, but accurate coordinates made for a quick find. TFTC

We took the rough road instead of the easy one. M went down the hill to find the cache, only to find it would have been easier to drive down. The box was dry on the outside but wet inside. The logbook was wet too but M managed to sign the log. He found a travel bug which was starting to go rusty so he retrieved it.
Did a hop, skip and a jump to get to the cache location and then it was a quick find. TFTC
Was a quick find after navigating the water to the cache position. Watched kelboy hop, skip and jump over the rocks. TFTC
Slipped into the water while I was searching for the right island. Was a very refreshing bath on this hot summer's day. Now I know that my Galaxy S8 is really waterproof. I am not sure whether the cache box will survive the next serious flood in its current position. For now it is okay. Thanks for showing me this pretty spot!
Lived in the area nearly 20 years and never been here before! Will have to come back and camp here one day.
Dried out container and replaced with a new log book in a plastic bag so all good to go again. Hope that's ok cache owner.

Found while staying the night close by but couldn't sign logbook as completely saturated - needs replaced.
We found it on international geocache day but sadly was not waterproof at all the pencil was gone
Nice walk with token94 waiting for better skiing weather.
TFTC.
Note. Log is drenched.

Hi from Tauranga. Staying in Wanaka for Easter and gathering some smileys as we cycle the Hawea trail. Easy find, once we scoped the crossings. No wet feet, Cache is all good. TFTC
Heute ging es von Queenstown weiter nach Fox Glacier über eine wundervolle Bergstrasse. Wir haben die Dosen am Wegesrand eingesammelt und die tollen Aussichten genossen. Danke fürs Legen.
Plenty of campers nearby, but no eyes that I could see. After a quick walk around the bank to scout out the approach, popped over to the island for a quick smiley. The river must be low at the moment as I only got my ankles wet. TFTC.
Frame family dated the log but forgot to add their name so I have added it. Ecotiny has logged but not signed. Managed to get here with no wet feet. Here's hoping I can return the same way! Thanks for the cache. It's a bit wet actually but I didn't bring anything down from the car to dry it with. Sorry! Thanks for the cache.
Feet got wet but it was welcome on such a hot day! Cache was found but not in the place described but has been put back as near to the GZ as we could. TFTC!
Had had a look a couple of years ago. This time found easily but with wet feet and a quick scramble up the bank to catch up with the rest of the cycling group.
Thanks! What a nice find on a sunny spring Sunday. Awesome kids bike ride to Butterfields Wetlands first.
Damn! We have mistimed the season again! Drove out to try to get this one today but the recent rain has made the water level too high.
Thought about looking for this one a few years ago bu too many people were camping in the area. This time, expecting a quick find from the D2/T2 rating, biked to it from where the car was parked. Oh, down there... 35 m away would mean it is about... on that island???.... hmm, better read the cache description and logs ... oh bother, this requires wading!!! So had to circle back around 270 degrees to get to the other (shallower) approach and then knee deep it was. Searched every tree on the island before spotting the correct pile of rocks, too. Really enjoyed the spot, thanks Shady's for the placement and the information about the jetsprint course which created this area. And the shoes dried out fine in front of the heater that evening!
Feet stayed dry today. What a magic spot! Very sorry I didn't bring the fishing rod. TFTC
On holiday from Australia, visiting Wanaka with family for a few days so I decided to make the most of geocaching in Wanaka.
Second find for the day, easy find on the island.

Found it, no wading required although we came prepared, just in case . TFTC!
Attempted with hifiveitslivetime but decided not to go wading today as the water would be freezing. Will try again Feb/March. Interesting location, had no idea this was here. We'll be back.
In the evening we arrived here.
Coming from the right side it's easy - from the other side ...
The GPS showed me the other side. ..
Thanks

In Central Otago to do a spot of orienteering - grabbing caches where I can.
Dodged a few muggles and then there it was.

First search for the day. Despite Mr Team B getting his shoes wet trying to find it, this one failed us.
This caches log is ruined due to water getting inside so its impossible to sign. If someone is heading to this cache a new logbook would be awesome! I left a little toy inside as well. Thanks.
Very nice spot! Had to get my feet wet but luckily it was a beautiful evening. However the log is completely destroyed due to water getting inside the container. TFTC
Excellent hiding spot! Cache was wet - I will replace with dry book and waterproof container next chance I get.
easy peasy japaneesee
BUT cache is wet and logbook is useless.. made photo though ;0

The river was high so it was either get wet feet or not attempt. Mrs Guzzi said no way but Mr Guzzi whips off his jeans and socks and shoes and waded to the island. Very cold wind blowing by the way. I got some good shots of Mr Guzzi on his way to a did not find. Next time we will bring sandals or jandals.
