A nope from us as well, long look on the way out, shorter look on the way back, cut short when I put my had in a big glob of gum. Took a fair effort to get it off.
Think we found the location. Will be interested to know if the next person finds it.
I was staying in Pahi with the Jags and Aiden29 for Easter so plans were made to collect as many caches as we could while we were up north. We checked the wrong place first then a quick find was made once we changed our search focus
We decided to get way for Easter and stay in Pahi with Merlot58 and Aiden29. This almost had us stumped but we were not to be outdone.
Headed up North with Jag50 and Merlot58 to stay in Pahi for the long weekend. We were at Marsden point, and headed up this way to find caches in the area. Searched the wrong place first and then we were no longer stumped.
The kids and I loved the Hotel Transylvania movies. I think they do a fantastic job when the script writers can entertain both adults and kids. A nice walk to gz and a quick find. No ants in the Hotel today. I carried on along the walkway to your workmates other two caches. It was staring to get a bit hot by the time I returned to my car. Thanks for showing me this walkway
Out on a nice day to keep the 2017 streak going. Had to wait for a couple of muggle squid fishermen to pass, before having a look around the obvious log at GZ, but soon realised this was the wrong one. Once I turned my attention to the other one, the little hotel cache was soon found. TFTC
Look outside your first destination and cache found. Thanks for the placement Riser5
This one had me stumped for a bit phone gps was awful 8 plus mts out...bring on the Organ and bingo snaped it just like that 2 meter accuracy...yes and there it was thanks Riser awsome
Upon approach we read about the vampire storey and once finding the cache were still none the wiser. Quite a few wasps over the stumps but didn't seem to be a nest or near the cache, thanks
Cheers. Sneaky hide. Got very confused over the vampire stuff. Suspect due to deterioration of the tree. Wasps about but not an issue near the cache
This one had me a little stumped. But then I saw something out of place and voila. TFTC.
Woooooo!! We were just giving up!!!i followed the clues really well and we all got it!! Nabbed our very first trackable
Staying at Marsden cove, walking the trails, and seeing the sights. Left a TB...please give it a lift! TFTC!!!
A wonderful day for geocaching. Beginning with a few geocaches on some back roads going up to Whangarei. First looked on the wrong one but then got the right one and found the cache within seconds. tftc
#11055. We enjoyed our short walk to GZ (though a bit more shade would have been welcome). TFTC.
Another glorious day in Northland and today's destination is Marsden Cove and surrounding areas with lots of caches finds both going to and coming from the area.
My heart sunk when we reached GZ, lots of possible hiding places and in full bright sunshine. We cooked! After a while I finally found it, but had to retrieve carefully as there was a wasp on guard. Fortunately it wasn't upset and let me grab and replace the container without incidence. TFTC.

Out and about for the afternoon with CB to find a few caches in this area. We had a great day out and had quite a bit of fun. A couple of finds proved quite eventful too, I explain what happened on those logs. Thanks eveyone for the hides.
Enjoyed the walk here, headed a past the cache for a few minutes to check out the walkway. Once back at GZ the cache was found after a bit of a hunt.

Luckily the wasps weren't there to bother us. A favorite walk of mine to do in the area when we get a holiday break. Tftc

Was up nortrh for CO's bday, decided to call in around this area on the way up, took a little while to find, and the wasps are starting to gather again, so please be careful with this cache. TFTC

Got stung 3 times in the hand by paper wasps while looking. They have set up nest in the log
Took a long time to find this one. Think coordinates might need to be changed.
Cheers

After visiting Riser5's Maker Madness event yesterday, he gave me a container to replace one of his caches close to my current home zone. So I just did! Have fun finding the hidden small one again...

Big Geocaching day up at dawn and not home until dusk. attempt #22a. but alas no joy. We had a lovely cuppa siting on the tree.
I've been carrying around a travel bug that I really wanted to bring here. Pity we couldn't find the cache for him to see. Enjoyed a nice cuppa here. Took the kids to the little kids to the movie "Hotel Transylvania" at the cinema a few years back. We've even hired it out again from our wonderful local library since then. Thanks anyway
There was a someone in car in carpark, so headed for this one first.
After a good 15mins with 3 of us searching, we were still empty handed. Felt that the people at far end with their dog must be wondering what we were up to by now, and we had to get on with the rest of our trip, so had to leave it for next visit.

A Waitangi weekend road trip to collect a few puzzle series of caches that we have solved over the last month or so - plus any other caches that we can find on the way!
A quick find. Met a muggle walking her dog, explained what we were doing and she advised that she had already seen the cache "container" on previous walks and wondered what it was!

I loved the camo and was especially careful on where I put my hands. I didn't want to become a creature of the dark.
Cheers for the cache.

Interesting camo on this cache, great walkway that we managed to negotiate between showers. TFTC
TFTC!
Fox and 22ruvusu on the hunt in the rain for a couple
This one just for me to find as 22ruvusu already found it.

Searched a few cavities before we managed a successful extraction, it’s in pretty good condition despite the surrounding decay. Thanks for the fun… left with a smile and another smiley.
Recently turned Premium, so I'm now dishing out favourite points to the caches that I've enjoyed the most. Loved the story and the themed cache!
My last find was last Sunday, I've been off work since Thursday but I've not been able to get out & cache for various reasons. Today was my chance to break the week-long dry spell. Took a gang along for the three caches on this walkway; Mrs & Mini McA, sister-in-law (& potential future cacher - logged as georgiegirlbaker) & her two little ones. Was already past the first one before the GPS found me so decided to do that last. This one was quickly located after driving it out with garlic & crosses. Another creative container from Riser5. Glad to escape with no puncture wounds. On to the next one.
11.05am. Was on the wrong side first but found as soon as I changed over. A favourite point for this walkway although I didn't have time to see where it went. Now a quick dash to the bridge where I get dirty and record a DNF, then off to pick up our granddaughter from work at Ruakaka.
Thank you. David.
