Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Back in WA to visit family and work Grain Harvest. Now in Ballidu for work, today was a day off so we headed out to explore the surrounds using Geocaching as a guide. TFTC sunshinesnowoz
We found this cache with GrobbyGypsy today but it is in need of serious maintenance. It was located on the ground out in the open and we were unable to locate the log. We gathered up the cache container and a pencil, found the lid and added a few pieces of paper for logging and placed it where we thought it should be!TFTC sunshinesnowoz
Dowerin last night, now heading north. A rather average type of day with wind and rain threatening. We arrive here for this cache, lunch, and it seemed a little sunshine, all very nice! Thanks for the cache.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA and down to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield National Park, Wyndham, the Gibb River Road, Monkey Mia, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Laverton, Warburton, Kargoorlie, Westonia, Goomalling, Kalannie, Jurian Bay & The Pinnacles.TFTC. Nice little place for a lunch break. Nice bit of school history.
Camping just up the road at Pithara speedway we headed off again with the dogs, cat and caravan final destination tonight Mukinbudin of course detouring of the direct route to gather a few smiles. Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining caches.
On my way in a round about fashion ( ok the long way) to BYO marshmallows in minivale. Thought Id leave a day earlier to give me time to head further NW to clean up some green spots. Ready to head to Minnivale now before the roos come out. Nice quick find. Thanks sunshinesnowoz for placing and maintaining this cache
Thanks for the history lesson, fancy a gold medalist coming from way out here. Shows you nothing is impossible. Take care
Thanks for the cache. Sl. Always interesting to come & learn about local history.
After overnighting in Wongan Hills, I continued on with my Dalwanninu Dash to find a few more WanAus caches.
Another spectacular spring day in the wheatbelt. A huge thanks to the cache owners for such an enjoyable day.

Good easy find and lovely little spot to park and have a snack, explore and read the plaque. Even recognised some names!
Out with the pirate in her home patch for a quick cache before a rum. A quick find in a nice spot.
There is much evidence that the farms (but perhaps not the roads) this area benefited greatly from the recent deluge of rain. Lots of activity on the land but back roads sodden and boggy. We made a quick find here.
We are on a wander around the wheatbelt looking for wildflowers, Not really sure where we are headed but just taking it day by day.
After camping out nearby we called into this one on our way through. Parked under a shady tree and walked back. Spooted the cache as I approached. All in good condition
This was find number 2 for the day.

Day 4 of our mini road trip which was meant to start in Perenjori but didn't quite make it so stayed last night at Mullewa Pub and enjoyed a lovely meal there too. So today it's Mullewa to Wongan Hills via Xanthippe, Pithara and Ballidu.
Have a few caches on my list so fingers crossed we can manage as many as possible as I'm chasing numbers on this trip
Turns out another warm day in town and I didn't pack my shorts
A nice place to remember a bygone era.
Sorry magnet fell to bottom of mint tin so instead of it sitting vertical it's now horizontal. Spent about 10 minutes trying to fix it but that magnet didn't want to behave
TFTC
All good with cache and replaced as found, not exactly

Spotted this from the car and left Krabiboy to signing duties.

We left at 4.30am on Friday and headed off to the northern wheatbelt.
We covered over 600km today, clocking up 29 finds, including 5 archived caches.
Nice quick grab as Kyzabra spotted it from the car.

Last of the day of the 4 local caches - a quick find in spot in the middle of nowhere - took time to look at the plaque after signing the log - another interesting local spot - thanks for the cache and bringing us here

Having driven this loop yesterday without a clue about the caches out here had to come back again today to find them. Took longer than it should have - must learn to trust the coordinates. TFTC SL as SG
Quick find.

Great spot for a cache thanks for getting me to stop. Hmmm, I wonder if those kids had to walk to school in bare feet like my parents. TFTC
