**This Cache:**
We had a long conversation on the way to this cache about Lurchers and Longdogs and how we thought they were funny names for dog breeds! We had certainly never heard of them before but googled as we were curious as to what they looked like!
As for the cache it was a good sneaky find. Although the logbook is stuffed into the bottom of the bison and presumably full as well. No way the sodden mess was coming out so I took photo proof instead
---
**Today:**
It had been over a week since I last went out to hike in a quiet location and get out of the work / home routine so decided it was time for another isolation exercise afternoon
Myself and DSD chose Cooleman Ridge today, as I had many unfound caches up there! In fact it was probably my largest cluster of unfound caches in Canberra!
It was a good afternoon, only saw a couple of other people out and about from distances but we had the place mainly to ourselves to search for each cache unhindered! We ended up with 14 total finds and no DNF's which was an awesome effort!
Thanks to all the CO's

Easy find with the geokid. Love the cache idea!
CO- needs a new log. Unfortunately I didn't have a roll of paper handy.

Out on a very pleasant ride around the ridge, actually to grab a cache up towards the other end, but remembered I hadn't found this one, so the ride was extended. Poor little dry dam looked a bit sad, but with a bit rain, I am sure it is the veritable billabong. With a bit of searching, the clever little hide was found. Unfortunately, the log has disintegrated, could barely make a mark, and needs replacement, due to the missing O ring. TFTC SiteHounder
Found while on a trip away with tmann421, heading to the MEGA in Canberra

Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers.
SL - Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ or printed tm421/ ww9
*Big thank you to the cache owners who made our trip fun!*
Nice walk and fairly easy find - nicely hidden, log is really wet.

This one eluded me longer than it should have, despite the excellent hint! Realised I was looking from all the wrong angles. The dam was totally dry despite all the recent rain, but it was a lovely spot. TFTC.
Found this last week and thought I had saved a draft...apparently not. A nice walk with the family.
After a day full of Christmas shopping, kids' sport & Christmas catch ups, this was a 9:45pm find to ensure my streak didn't end after a mere 12 days. Great hide & nice hint made this one a quick find, before going home to wrap Christmas presents. TFTC, SiteHounder!
Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it SiteHounder.
The family together with Betty were up for a short hike today so we picked Cooleman Ridge as it has lots of caches nice views ans we have never been. Turned out a great walk. We found this cache quickly. Thanks for bringing us here.
Last one for the day so back to the car we went. Overall a wonder of a little under 2h.

Wasn’t expecting that...despite the poem. No 20 find for the day. Time to head home. TFTC
A perfect day for Geocaching, found with C-chord. Interesting camo S, TFTC
Had a very good evening with my lady at Les Bistronomes last night. And today, I am try to be busy, albeit feeling less than well. I am taking a break from preparing for her youngest's birthday party. I've loaded up my GeoSchnauzers and her GeoCavoodles, taken a drive, and here we are. We have wandered up the track, with me trying to keep the Geodogs prickle free, without success. Sigh. A de-weeding jobs later. Nice hide. Found it after a short search. Thanks for this one.

Out for some light caching/walking and fresh air to try and clear a cold. Cache soon found thanks to the hint. TFTC.

Quick find. Nice way to start ourcaching day. Never knew this little dam existed. Tftc!
Found with AngelG27 on a post-lunch caching run around Weston Creek. Angel did most of the finding, but I found this one! Thanks for the cache!
Cache 3210 on 25 Dec 2017
Bobl27 and I decided to head out to grab some Christmas caches after the mandatory over-eating at lunch and post-lunch snooze. I am close to getting 1000 caches for the year and did not want to fall short!
Ninth one for the afternoon. Glad we did not have to climb the hill! There were a few hidey holes around GZ, but eventually found the hint and the cache.
Thanks SiteHound for the cache!

Found with dty73 and AddictedGamer near a quite nice spot by the dam. Birds about every where and liked the cache container, very appropriate for the cache! Thanks for the cache SiteHounder.
Out with AddictedGamer and Aquilus1 for an afternoon of caching. Found this one just as the hint hinted. TFTC!!!
It took me a while to spot this one (even found another thing matching the hint, but too small). Eventually spotted it.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Found @ 4:48pm on a lovely Spring afternoon
Loved the area around the cache. I made a surprisingly quick find considering the camo and how it was hidden.
Thanks SiteHound, a favourite for me!

Found on a lovely sunny Saturday morning walk. The geo-Lagotto enjoyed a good swim while I searched. Thanks SiteHound

So we are back down the hill after a really nice walk. The RP seems to not be worried about horses anymore, there were a few just over the fence while we hunted for the cache. Of course it was she who first noticed the cache . I quickly thanked her and grabbed it before she consumed it. Thanks for the cache, SiteHound, nice camo.
Ridgeo-pup pic attached: Look at my face, am I bovvered?

Found with The Matetrix. A quick find along an easy track. Returned to the geomobile back at the road, a few guys in their 4wd, sitting, smokin'. They left soon after. Hmmmmm. TNLNSL TFTC
Found this with a couple of friends, G and sophiethesassquatch. Clue was very clever, but we got turned around a couple times tftc
Another day when I was down here for "Grandma duty" (collecting grand daughter from pre-school) ... ducked over here for a cache or 2 afterwards ... found one before the rain came down really heavily, then decided I may as well keep walking in the rain and find the other one - my legs got soaked (the rest of me didn't - was wearing a raincoat ... also had umbrella, which the wind blew inside out at one stage ... but it came in handy for keeping the second cache dry while signing log
TFTC - grabbed this one first - nice dam, nice spot to explore, nice camo

We left The Woofer at home today (no car!) and headed out for a long, long walk around Cooleman Ridge. We found 13 of 13 caches, and were lucky to only encounter reptiles of the legged variety! We left home at 6:40AM and were done by 11AM, so not too bad - especially since it was getting HOT towards the end!
Almost at the end of our long, hot walk, we were sorely tempted to take a swim in the dam at GZ!! Resisting that, we got to work looking for the cache, and very quickly spotted it. Kinda gross, but a funny idea for a camo! Log was slightly damp, but easily signed. TFTC!

The cache camo has been "knicked" again. I'll attempt to get new camo and return it with a new log as the old one was pretty tatty.
What a beautiful morning to be out and about.
Thank you SiteHound for this cache.
Thank you SiteHound for this cache.
Found it from about 20m away. The log was too wet to sign. I hid the container and placed the log in a good drying spot. After seeking a couple caches further along the ridge, I returned and found the log dry enough to sign. I re-hid the cache at the published co-ords which had a much better spot for a cache. TFTC
Decided to head out on a short caching trip around Canberra for some quick finds.
I parked in the nearby carpark and made the short wander over. Cache found quickly, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the placement SiteHound

I hadn't been around here for a while, but remember this dam as one of the first spots in Canberra I really fell in love with.
A few minutes of checking the various options and the cache made itself known. TFTC and the interesting sight hound info, SiteHound.

Seems I don't really need to writ much. my hunt went pretty much like strangetrousers. I searched for 5 minutes or so and was about to give up but took a seat and almost magically I find what the hint is refering to. TFTC SiteHounder
#1175 7 of 8 today.
It was a perfect Spring day today. Warm, windless & a joy to be outdoors. Due to other commitments I can only ever get about 1/2 a day's caching in on Saturdays, but with the daylight hours lengthening it's still well worth it.
The plan today was to head down to Tidbinbilla & grab a few caches near the tracking station. I thought I was all prepared, but as I drove along Paddy's River Rd I noticed I could not see any of the caches I'd loaded into my Garmin. I pulled over & had a closer check and yep - nothing. Turn around & head back. No cellular reception out here. No point continuing.
I pulled into Duffy & decided to try a few drive by caches using the mobile phone & eventually moved out to Cooleman Ridge. It was too nice a day to leave empty handed. Well the views from Cooleman Ridge were spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours I spent out here.
The last find for the day for me. It took a while to get the GPS to home in on this one. I eventually sat on a log after fruitless searching around when I spotted the subject of the hint.
Thanks for the cache SiteHound

Thanks for the added hint - don't think I would have got it otherwise. Even so the cache was only spotted after a bit of a hunt and circling GZ 3-4 times. I certainly have not come across teh Lurcher/Longdog terminology before but I do love greyhounds. Thanks SiteHound
I targeted this one because it has been found for six months. I know, a sneaky way to chase unloved days, but I'm approaching 200 years so I'll take anything I can get.
I love the natural camouflage of the container thanks sitehound.

Sorry for the delay in getting this one back on line. The camo has gone walkies.
I did a check following burn-offs in the area this week. The cache log is gone, so I will replace soon.
TFTC. A lovely spot, even on a windy afternoon. Shadow and master 7 enjoyed the walk.
