Out with BJA3 and Ullyssia after the AGM.Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us and others to enjoy finding, adding to the great game of Geocaching!
I am logging my find so I can get the souvenir. As I haven't received confirmation from CO, if my answers are wrong, guess it'll be deleted. TFTC guys
Third morning of a long weekend in Perth with the geowife before work next week in town. Staying at the esplanade in Fremantle for a few night and thought Id pop out early and pick up a few caches whilst the dearly beloved gets some more rest.Cache found quickly, log extracted and mark made for prosperity. Returned to its hiding place for the next lucky cacherA big thanks to the cache owner for placing the cache for the enjoyment of others.Off on the next adventure.Cheers
Enjoying a wintery day at Point Walter doing an AL and decided to wander up the slope to Habibi and investigate further. The sandbar was almost totally submerged today (and even the AL location was inaccessible at several hundred metres out as the crow flies). A totally wild spot today which cleared out the cobwebs. A big thanks to you and the AL CO for bringing me to this amazing feature.
Stopped for a snack at the cafe after a long ride from Canning Bridge. Thanks for the cache!
Find 5 of 7 on a walk along Blackwall Reach Reserve and back, celebrating our 34th (secret) anniversary.Great views up here today. Answers to follow.TFTC gemat!
Lovely spot to check out the view, stopped here on our practice walk for the Bibbulmun...both with 15kgs on our backs, did maybe 11km up and back collecting smilies Answers sent, thank you gemat for placing Habibi for us and others to find and enjoy.
All completed and walked when the tide was out so an easy walk on the hard sand. A couple of poor jellies must have been lost when the tide went out and got marooned on the sand.Answers and pic sent. TFTC
Full time nomads since February 2014, back in WA to visit family.
Last night we decided to head out on a "Duck" hunt. With our bike being stolen last time we planned to head down here we were hoping for a better attempt today. Alas plans didnt go altogether according to plan and we had a late start and of course we took way too long at each cache so our list was far too long for the time we had available. Never the less the weather was fantastic and the river was looking its absolute best and we only had 2 DNF so a pretty good day!

A great day for a walk out on the spit. Logging this for International Earthcache Day. Thanks for the earthcache.
Such a beautiful spot where the family has celebrated a couple of birthdays and catch-up with friends. My husband said it was a great place to kayak TFTEC
Enjoyed the sculpture at this spot and the info about the spit. Thanks to CO for accepting answers as the walk itself was restricted due to the bird nesting habitat being protected. TFTC
Out doing a bit of local cleanup at night after finishing painting some new caches to go out soon. Bit of a nip to the easterly breeze this evening. The one jumper I was wearing was probably not enough.
Been at this one a few times, but very difficult questions to answer. Point Walter was pretty much my childhood. Running around on the sandbank and jumping off the jetty. Not much has changed in the last decade or two down here other than some viewing platforms and interpretive signs added. Probably needs a refresh. Will flick through answers to the CO soon. Cheers gemat!

What a beautiful spot. Enjoyed a picnic lunch with family. Unable to walk out to the island due to bird nesting but it would be a lovely thing to do. Thanks so much for setting up this earthcache.
What a beautiful place . Here visiting my family for Easter the 1st time since the WA border opened .TFTC
Visiting Perth for the first time in 2.5years and had to come back to some of my favourite spots! Love point Walter ️ TFTC

This is a great place for an Earthcache. I didn’t do any on my last trip to Australia and I’m glad I’ve got a couple on this trip….great and interesting ECs down here. Really enjoyed the walk and the whole area. Spent time here a few years ago but didn’t see this somehow. Thanks for setting this up and the work you up into it.

While completing some labs around the parkland here I stopped and grabbed the needed information for this cache also.
I have find memories of this park growing up as this was the site of many oilfield Christmas parties in my childhood.

Noticed that I C Nothing, Kapelula and Meme28 were out and about caching this morning and after some back and forth arranged to meet them in the Applecross area.
We enjoyed caching along the river and the kids had fun getting their feet wet at Point Walter.
After parting ways Mr Z & Mr T helped me to finish off another adventure lab before we met up with the rest of the family for an afternoon at the movies.
I thought the day was over when the ping of new caches during bedtime had me back out the door and I was stoked to get one of the first to finds on offer.
As I relax after a fun day with family and friends I’m pleased with 9 finds, 9 Adventure Labs and 0 DNF’s.

I do enjoy coming to this area. Today the Fairy Terns were fishing over the spur in the shallow water. We could see schools of small fish as we waded through the water.
I hope these answers are satisfactory.
I didn't know this place existing but I'm happy that caching brought me here. Hopefully, answers are fine.
We were in this gorgeous neck of the woods today for an AKX (church youth outing) and decided to grab this earthcache

Out stand up paddle boarding in the area today. Interesting times on the river at the moment with all the rain the levels are up plus the tide was coming in, so there wasn’t a lot of the sand bar to be seen. Point Walter has improved so much since my last visit here which was about 20 years ago! Thank you gemat.
6 months(ish) since we left home and stated our ‘lap year’ half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country…hmm I guess we won’t be ‘home’ for Christmas….oh well… (shhh don’t tell the grandparents)
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… what ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
This week it’s Perth turn, mainly targeting Virtual and Earth caches while sight seeing and attending to some business, what a beautiful city!
Thanks for being one of the awesome caches we found this week.

Out exploring today and came across the lovely Point Walter. We had spied the sandbar/spit from the opposite side of the river in previous explorations, so it was great to find ourselves up close today. I can imagine this place can get busy, but today we had it to ourselves. I look forward to coming back to this place - thanks for a little bit of education about it and for the Earthcache smiley gemat
Logged with CO’s permission.
The tide was really high this afternoon, so there wasn’t much of the spit exposed.
The vegetation has grown a lot since I first saw this place.

Was dropped off South of the River with SAMOW and rode on our bikes along the river to find mostly Duck43 caches and a few others along the route. Thanks for all the creative and interesting caches along the way.
Thanks for a nice earth cache although we couldn’t get to the end because of breeding closures.

Went for a ride with bjp? and went to along the river to find mainly duck43 caches mixed in with some others along the way. Thanks to all owners who keep these caches up to date. Tftc.
We did a walk out along the sandbar as it was such a beautiful day. The water was well above or knees at times and very cold but it was so enjoyable. There were a few black Swans and a scattering of people.
Great fun better than most earth caches as we found it entertaining as well as educational.

In the area for few days, we did nice cycling here, we made a stop to get the answer to this earth cache. It's a very popular place here in particular in the Chritmas time, I noticed this sand bank because of this earth cache, the fisrt time I bike around, I didn't notice the length of it. Thank you for this earth cache
Nice and interesting place

Up in Perth for the weekend and with today being earthcache day we decided to head out this way! Our first cache of the day we started at the artwork, then made our way down to the sandbar. It was low tide but we still had to take shoes off to get all the way to “island”. We stopped at the fence as there is a bird nesting area on the main area! We searched for another cache on the fence but had no luck then made our way back across getting the measurements for the answers! Saw some baby swans on the way very cute! Had a lovely time with this cache thanks for taking us to this location fave point awarded! Happy earthcache day!
Didn't see this EC until we got back from a soaking walking to the island. This meant that my answers were more of a guess than usual! However, the CO was happy with them so now I am logging a find. TFTEC
Came back today to take a pic as I forgot to do so, when I was here previously. The tide was low so great for wading. Thanks for bringing me here its a great location. Sending answers today
A very late log, found with parkacruz and piknik15 but we never logged online which we are now rectifying TFTC
On a beautiful summers day and the tide WAS right headed off to complete this earth cache, have sent answers to CO as required TFTC
We found this Earthcache on a beautiful sunny Spring day. First a leisurely lunch then enjoyed the walk to meet the requirements to log this cache. Answers emailed to CO. Photo posted !
Really enjoyed this Earthcache and the walk out upon the sandbar. It was a surreal feeling literally walking in the middle of the river - and in such a peaceful, quiet space - in a capital city like Perth.
Recognised the sculpture as soon as I saw it, being Sculptures by the Sea devotees and it being one of our favourites from years past.

Greetings from Northern Ireland. Spent a lovely afternoon here with family. Great spot with some great caches. Thanks to the CO for a speedy response.
The muggles were out in force this afternoon (not surprising given the great location and beautiful weather) but after being muggled out at all the nearby trads, we decided to venture out for this earth cache. We were stymied here as well as the end of the spit was fenced off due to nesting seabirds. We got the best answers we could anyway. A lovely walk, sun, surf and sand. Great earth cache. Thanks gemat [^]
Net88 and I decide to head to Perth for six days for not much reason other than we'd like to see the area. Neither of us have been to Western Australia before, so it's a week with lots of geocaching and today, the highlight; visiting Rottnest Island and seeing the quokkas!
This earthcache had made it onto the shortlist of possibilities for the trip, though we weren't sure if we'd physically get to it. An early morning and a courtesy bus ride had us boarding the ferry to Rottnest Island which was now cruising down the Swan River. We were sneakily scrolling along the map on the GPSr and pondering if we'd be able to see this place properly enough to make the find. As we got close, the tour guide announcement drew attention to 'Point Walter' and even that there's prawns here around November!
I found it so strange that this sandbar pokes out into the river; it feels like it should have been washed away by the tides wanting a more direct route. Though as we passed, it was low tide, so there was a lot of sand sticking above the waves. And the long detour all the way around it meant we got to see it from three sides and determine all the answers by eyeballing measurements and getting the GPSr to point exactly at the waypoints for us.
And so as we motored by, we collected the answers and added them to our little geocaching guide book. A few people were out enjoying the exposed sandbar and it eventually disappeared behind us. I can't say I've ever found an earthcache from a commercial vessel before! Answers have been emailed and thank you for highlighting this place to us, gemat

Captain Terror and I were spending the week in Perth. I had wanted to visit WA for quite some time, it is the last Australian state/territory for me to visit. We had made a list of geocaches that we wanted to find and this cache had made the list. Today we were off to Rottnest Island! We did this earthcache on the way and it was lovely seeing so many people enjoying the sandbar early in the morning. Thanks for the cache gemat.
We found this cache on a beutiful winter day. We waited until low tide and waded out to the end of the sand bank, unfortunately the last section was closed due to birds nesting. As we turned around to head back we spotted a group of dolphins playing very near by. This cache took us hours to complete as we ended up spending the whole morning playing on the beach and in the water, this is a great family location.
We really enjoyed this cache and is a great memory to our holiday, thank you

Living NOR, I rarely come down to Point Walter so it was great to add this EarthCache to the experience. Will try to visit more often as it is a great spot.
There was also a special family member, originally from Lebanon, that we all used to call Habibi, so the sculpture also brought back some nice memories.
Thank you for the cache gemat and for your quick feedback to my answers, a favorite!

Beautiful location that our family uses regularly for a picnic and today was to celebrate our group daughters birthday. The boys enjoyed the cache between dinner and cake cutting. Recommend to all Tftc
Back on the sandbar again after a FTF on the Mini Maldives ages ago.
We could not get to the end as the last part was closed because of the nestling birds, so we had to measure the widest point on Google Earth.
Thanks for the cache and bringing us back to this beautiful spot.

Visited while on a short holiday in WA. While waiting for CT_ZA to join me I headed into Perth, looking for earthcaches and other more unusual cache types.
This was a really enjoyable walk to the end of Point Walter, making observations and gathering the necessary information. Got a little wet - but that's what beach holidays are about!

Day 25 of my trip from the UK to Perth and was out today to collect up Earthcaches and a Letterbox in order to keep up my streak.
I woke up to absolute chaos in the house of my cousin who I'm staying with. Everyone had slept through the alarm, was late for work, school etc and I casually strolled out of my room into it. The upshot was that I ended up taking the 13yr old with me for a day of caching!! I had been planning a trip over this way for a week or so and had arranged to have the car and do pick ups so that I had the opportunity to get around to the various caches on this side of Perth and Freo. However I hadn't planned to pick this one up, but because I had more time than I thought until I had to pick up my cousin from a Christmas do (I know, it's only November!!) I decided I'd just go for it! I only had a little bit of battery left which was enough to check out what I needed to find out before it died on me. Unfortunately no photos of this beautiful place!!
I didn't have any measuring equipment on me, so for the second question I used my feet to measure across and made a note of how many so I could convert it into metres when I got back! I did something similar with the depth too, standing in the water and marking my leg with biro so I could measure when I got home. The answers have been emailed to the CO and I really really hope they're ok - we really tried!!

Went out to grab an Earth cache to celebrate International earth Cache Day 2015. as I was visiting friends in Bicton this seemed to be the most logical cache to do. Packed up near the golf course and walked down the hill, needed the exercise. Then we walked out to the end of the spit got the feet wet in a couple of places due to the incoming tide.

Found this on Fathers Day , ( 6th Sept) We all had a bbq down here. I haven`t been to this spot since 1990 & I have never done an Earth Cache. Will Pm the cache owner the answers to the questions. I couldn`t find the piece of paper I had the answers written on till now. Thanks for this one Gemat.

Just had the go ahead from the CO to log this one. My photo is a good clear shot of the sandbar but a terrible shot of me, so, call me vain but I am not attaching it, unless it is essential. TFTC what a lovely spot. Must come back when it is warmer and go for a wade to 'little Maldives'.
A friend and I went hunting for the answers for this cache this morning but it may have been a mistake or just a great adventure on a cold morning. We went wading in the cold river to get this BUt we did enjoy ourselves. Thanks for the adventure.
Found this cache during our 2 week trip around Australia.
